Hotel
First let me say I put the blame on my shoulders for not being specific enough when I went on a tour of the hotel. During the tour, the manager asked if I would be staying alone and I said yes, but I will have female friends come to visit me, he replied that it wouldn't be a problem as long as I registered as 2 people. Well. That wasn't exactly the case.
The hotel is nice and I love the view from the 11th floor but there is my HUGE problem with the hotel. I had a girl come visit me last night for a couple of hours and the night manager asked if she was staying the night because if she was, I would have to pay a charge! I was like WTF? A charge for what? I registered as 2 people.
So this morning, I went and spoke to the manager who is also the one who showed me the hotel and asked what the issue was. Apparently, you can have guest come to see you during the day, but I can only have ONE female stay the night for free. If I change females, then I have to pay 85 fucking reais per person! I never had to deal with this before in a hotel, where I could only have one guest registered
That is definitely an issue for a long stay like yours. Does IBIS allow guests no extra charge?
I ask because I'm spending 3 nights in Rio in late August, and booked at the Hilton Copacabana hoping I won't have issues if I call in some girls to come over for some sessions, or even if I bring someone with me after hitting the termas. I hope I won't have to pay extras there too.

But when I brought a lady into my room (Astoria), the hotel receptionist didn't bat an eye. She left after an HR, but the receptionist didn't know that when I was bringing her up.
I agree, this wasn't your fault. They were misleading so you'd book their room. They know it's super awkward to type that shit out: "I plan on sleeping with different women each night. Is that ok?" LOL.

I am happy that I only payed for 1 week, so I will switch hotels next week and stay at IBIS. I wish the manager had been more specific and explained that I couldn't change females every night because I wouldn't be staying here. I know 85 reais is not a lot of money but it adds up over 3 weeks and it the point that why register as 2 people if I still have to pay a charge when I have a female over. In addition, i now have to add basically another 100 reais to what ever i negotiate with the female. Complete bullshit!
I will start calling girls over in the afternoon and I hope there is no fucking games with management when I do that!
I never had that happen to me at the Astoria Palace, and I brought back my share of girls to the room. Believe me. This is one thing I hate about less than "first tier" countries. One time it's this, then another time it's that. If they can get away with it. Booking the room for 2 should have been all it took! That's the standard, commonly accepted practice.
Once dated a woman who drenched the bed. No, it is not urine. The first time it was WTF! After that it was, how about we do it on the floor?
I've encountered that issue many times. :D I'll get a diaper changing pad if I'm going to keep seeing that particular lady. Those pads are absorbent, inexpensive, and they cum in various sizes. lol

Hemingway, Cuba and VM?
With some of the recently written posts / conversions and poetic pros, comparisons to Hemingway (and the like), with regards to VM, it's interesting to note the strong emotional connection that a place, like VM triggers within someone to write such passionate pros.
When you consider, Hemingway love to write while in Cuba and Hemingway wrote some of his best work while in Cuba, a place, considered "squalled" and far "inferior" to American on so many levels. . . it begs the question, where is the same level of bluster, "poetic tales" and passion of enchantment for the high-end establishments? Perhaps there are some? I don't remember any of recent memory.
What is it about VM, that brings out the Hemingway in some?

And this is why I don't believe half the BS that is put out. Funny as shit video about American propoganda.
Are you writing a book or something? You pose a lot of questions that have shit to do with shit.
I think my questions are quite clear, for those that have read the Hemingway references that were posted in recent conversations surrounding VM.
Are you writing a book or something? Fair enough! Good to know, if that's your take.

Hemingway and Gellhorn

All the great writers are liars".
Senhor Vagabundo is more or less with Spidy on this one. But Senhor Mister Enternational is right as he has the most posts, in as much, as we are interested in current intel.
Hence, as Senhor Vagabundo has suggested, we need a thread for the Literature of Prostitution.

IBIS hotel issue as well
I stayed in Centro last week at the IBIS hotel and had an issue with management and guests. I had one girl over two nights in a row and on the 2nd night they told her that I had to pat 42 reais for having her stay the night. I went downstairs to speak to the receptionist to find out what the problem was and she said there is a 21 R charge per night for a guest. I explained that I had reserved for 2 but she said I would have to speak to the manager in the morning. I told her I wasnt going to speak to anyone and that I would check out of the hotel at the end of the week and never book there again.
1 hour later my phone rang and it was the receptionist explaining that she found the problem. Because I didn't reserve a room on Ibis website and instead used booking.com, it didn't show up in Ibis system that I had reserved for 2 people. She admitted she made a mistake and said she would put something in the computer so I could get my money back in the morning.
Now I only had One girl over to the hotel last week, so I don't know how this is going to work next week when I plan to have a nightly guest. I guess I will have to be VERY fucking specific when I ask about the guest policy, or maybe I should just get an apartment instead.

For real!
Are you writing a book or something? How's about just some good old, straight up, straight forward field reports like in those good days of old? Geesh!
