The opportunity came up when a fellow monger invited me to Tijuana. I had not been to Tijuana in almost 10 years so I was almost like a newbie again so alot of my report is on the basics.

Tijuana no longer smells?

We drove down, parked and walked across the border. As we passed through the turnstile the first thing I noticed was the Tijuana smell was missing. There used to be this sickly sweet stench as you entered Tijuana. Maybe in the summer the stench will return but this time it was pleasantly missing. We grabbed a cab and went to the hotel Marriot to check in. I had only been to Tijuana a few times and only for the day. This was the first time I was spending the night.

Hotel Marriot

This is a nice hotel. Almost too nice for Tijuana. Our room ran $100 for the night which was expensive but I was going with the flow. Next time I might try to get one of the cheaper hotels closer to the action. Mongers. Is there a middle of the road gringo favorite hotel that is walking distance to Adelitas? Something around $50 that is motel 6 quality? .

Adelitas

We arrive Adelitas around 2pm and I am very impressed with the talent. It has greatly improved in 10 years IMO. Lots of impressive flacas, very few gorditas. We get a beer and in 5 minutes I get approached by a cute girl who is from Puebla.

Cutie from Puebla

She almost looks a little asian by the way she has her eye makeup. She is from Puebla and her name is whatever. (I’m sorry I can never remember their names). She is very cute and starts rubbing on me which feels great. I have this huge smile on my face and I know I look like a total ringer but I can't help it. She asks if I will buy her a drink and I concede. I know the ficha fuck thing is in effect but I don’t get to Tijuana very often so I’m gonna enjoy my mini vacation. The ladies drink is $8 and lasts you about 5-10 minutes and warms the girl up to you a little. They’ll let your hands roam freely during this time so have some fun. When the ladies drink is up I let her work it a while as she tries to sell me on going upstairs. I don’t last long. A few minutes maybe haha. My monger buds are shaking their heads saying geez, he didn’t last one hour. She quotes me $60 and I accept and off we go to room. She has a little baby fat around her waist but natural tits and is fun in the sack. I completely forgot about the money in the room and she doesn’t ask for it. Afterwards I give her $60 plus a $7 tip which is the change I had left in small bills. She seems very happy and we both freshen up. I tip the cum mop guy $2 as we leave the room. As I hand him the tip another young guy rushes over and says where is mine? This guy must be the assistant to the cum mop guy. I thought being the cum mop guy was the low rung on the totem pole but apparently there is a spot lower. Assistant to the cum mop guy. I tell him the chief cum guy has his tip and walk off. I make it back to Adelitas and my monger friends want to leave and walk around.

Hong Kong

We visit Hong Kong and they have this Jacuzzi tub filled with two chicks sitting on the edge completely nude with their legs spread. Their pussies are completely shaved, wide open and glistening wet from the water. I would have stayed there all day if I could. However, the lame ass waiters kept crowding in front of me. At one point there were four waiters blocking the view. These guys can really be a pain in the ass. They are like flies and you constantly have to shoo them away. Very annoyed because these four assholes won't get out of the way and by now a decent crowd has grown further blocking my view of the clam show. I didn’t care much for the Hong Kong talent but that Jacuzzi show really rocked my boat. Kudos to them for that.

Alley and other bars

We hit the alley and the talent is very nice. Lots of doable chicas in every size and shape. Price quoted is $20 and $5 for the room. We did not partake but its very fun to window shop. We pop into the various bars and places around there. I don’t remember the bars names but you know what I’m talking about. A few of the bars are so fucking loud that I cannot hear a word the chicas are saying to me. I don’t know why these MC types need to be so loud. I saw one monger with ear plugs in his ears and thought that was a smart idea.

Back at Adelitas its time for my wingman to have a session so I grab a seat at the back bar and wait for him. The ratio is about 3x1 girls to guys. I’m sitting alone at the bar so I’m a prime target. The chicas start approaching me and prod me for ladies drinks and company. One after another. They would ask for a ladies drink and I would politely decline. Then they would counter with. Then give me a dollar. As a joke I told one chica that had a nice rack to let me suck her tits and I would give her a dollar. Without hesitation she whips out her right tit and sticks it in my face. Adelitas at night

After some rest and recharge we head back to Adelitas about midnight. There are a lot more people and it seems more business like and more competitive. The guys all seem like they are trying to act hard and the chicas appear very stand offish and all business. Its not a fun mood and I’m not into it. We do hit this taco stand outside and had the most incredible tacos. As I'm standing outside Adelitas I notice what appear to be bullet holes in the wall? I try not to think about it. We hang out for a few hours and repeat our laps but in the end I don’t session and head back to hotel.

Mermaids

We get up early and head down to check out Mermaids. I had read about it but never been in there. We arrive about 10: 30 and walk in. The bar is a nice. Much nicer than I thought. But, its empty except for three guys watching soccer. I wander around looking around and as I’m about to leave get approached by a guy who I think was named Mike. He explains that it is $40 for the hour and then you negotiate with the girl for any extras. There are no girls but he says can get them here quick. I’m skeptical but he assures me. I tell him I’ll wait and he asks me if I would like a drink. I order a water and get charged $2 for it. A little annoyed I wait. About 10 minutes later he tells me the girls are here and he walks me outside and up a narrow flight of stairs. We enter a room and there are eight chicas facing me! Wow, this guy wasn’t kidding. They all were decent looking (mostly 7’s) which was pretty impressive I thought for a Sunday morning with no advance notice. It’s a buyers market boys? . I sit down and they line up in front of me. He instructs them to sound off their names and they do so. I look at each of them as we go down the line. He then asks me which one I like. Its very awkward. I pick a young cutie who keeps smiling at me. She looks fun. The other 7 immediately turn and walk out. In the room I’m not sure of protocol. She speaks no English and my Spanish is rusty at best. I just take off my clothes and lay down. She disrobes down to her bra and skirt and then starts a lame massage with some cheap lotion. Why she has lotion instead of oil I do not know. She has to keep squirting more lotion on me. I let her do the massage and see where it will go. After a while she seems to grow tired of rubbing me and I turn over. I’m used to the asian massage parlors so motion for hand job. She disrobes down to her gstring and then does a good job of working me to finish. Afterwards she tries to tell me that the handjob is extra and that its not included with the $40. Getting across the border without a passport

Its time to head back across the border and back to reality. I announce to my group that I do not have a passport and only have a drivers license. My group says they hope I don’t get detained because they will leave me if I do. You have to love mongers for their brutal honesty. No issues getting back across with a drivers license but I think in 2009 this might be changing so next time passport for me just to be safe.

Amtrak to SAN. Get off, cross the street, going East, to Plaza Americas. Buy an all-day ticket ($5) and take the BLUE LINE south to San Ysidro. Get off at the last stop. Walk over the pedestrian bridge. Go into TJ. Go to LZN. Pork Chicas and drink beer. Taxi back to SENTRI line. Cross border. Exit building and get on trolley. Get off at Plaza Americas. Cross street west and go into train station. Get on NB train. Get off train wherever you got on.

Repeat as necessary.

Now that you mention it, TJ doesn't have that odd smell. Or, at least it's a lot less noticeable. I always associated that smell with TJ, and Mexico in general. I *THINK* it was from their particular blend of gasoline, but I'm not sure. Now that it's all unleaded, and presumably close to the US blends, I'm guessing the car exhaust is a lot cleaner than it used to be, hence the reduction in smell. IMHO.

I just got back last night. I usually get a room at the Espana hotel on Revu. It's South of Carrillo Puerto, East side of the street, mid-block. Across from Sanborn's. What I was surprised to find is their prices are in pesos, and they have not adjusted for the dollar increase. It's $350MN for a night, S - Th. This used to be $35, but now it's $28. Great bargain. Clean rooms, decent bed, fairly recent remodel, heat, TV, clean shower. Much like a Motel 6. Easy walk to La Zona.

The entrance into Mexico is on the west side of the freeway and the gate back into the United States is on the east side. So you have to walk up and over the massive complex at least once. I prefer doing that early in the evening when I'm fresh, so I park on the east side behind the Jack In The Box. If you'd rather get a quick start on your evening park on the west side near the duty free shop. Hey Mnpnu, NICE REPORT! I loved it.

Here is some Mermaids Intel and experiences.

Apparently the going rate varies, but they will start at around 100 bucks for 1 hour fuck. I brought it down to 80.

From my experience, I was able to eat at the Y, and some dope DFK. This DFK is what legends are made of, it made me go back a week later! And is actually still in my mind, there is a 99 percent chance of me going back to Mermaids just for the DFK. The chick I got had a lip piercing. Last time I was in Tijuana was for Halloween, I swear I saw a sign at mermaids saying '2 girls for 1 massage'. That would be CRAZY! I would love to try that. I think thats all the info I have.

The odor will return, You may recall we've had quite a bit of rain over the past several weeks, that cleaned things up a bit. But have no fear. As soon as we get several weeks of hot sunny weather, TJ will regain it's familiar odor, the one we miss.

I heard that they were going to require all people to present passports to enter the United States from Mexico on foot. Have they implimented that yet? Last time I was in Mexico I only had to show a drivers license and a birth certificate.

Now, now; we were all newbies at one time. Fortunately I read the forum for a while before asking an obvious newbie question, but that could just be chalked up to dumb luck.
Victor may not know exactly how this forum works. Time will tell if he is stupid or lazy; he may not be either.
A good rule of thumb given by others to newbies is to RFF, read the fucking forum, especially Brockton’s thread. After that all dumb questions are fair game.

Right now (current) drivers license and birth certificate will work but not for much longer.

I was about to post a detailed report of my experiences there, but now it seems that my time and energy would be better spent elsewhere.

In the time Bunky spent insulting me for supposedly being "lazy" or "stupid, " he could have given me the information I sought, refered me to a place where I might find the information I was seeking, or, if he didn't believe my post was worthy of his attention, he could have simply ignored it.

If this sort of conduct is an example of "exactly how this forum works, " then this forum, quite frankly, doesn't work very well. As I said before, it seems that my time and energy would be better spent elsewhere.

I returned back to the U.S. at the end of October 2008. At that time, a passport or birth certificate was not needed on the mainland side(Laredo). However, they did an extensive search of my vehicle which lasted at least ten minutes even though the drug dogs never gave them reason.

If you can, post your trip report as it will be welcomed by most here. When I was a newbie I ran into a couple serious dickheads on this board. Don't take it personal and by all means do not let someone deter you from posting.

Sounds cool, but just a few questions. How much is the Amtrak ticket? And is there a cheaper all-day option as well for Amtrak? What's an NB train? Can I take the Amtrak from the Santa Ana bus depot? And all together including the trolley ride, how much time am I looking at until I reach Tj? And how much money will i spend for the two way trip?

But if you're not then you must know by now not to take online comments with a grain of salt. Cause the annonimity of the internet allows people to feel free to be jerks with others. Kind of like what I'm doing now by writing this. But if you still feel all butt hurt and want to leave these forums forever, feel free to do so. But if you can learn to look the other way and ignore certain comments like most everyone else on the internet has learned to do, then we would love to hear your reports. Because sharing reports is really what this forum is about.

Tickets on Amtrak are $20 each way from Santa Ana to TJ. So all told it's $45 round trip, plus any drinks you might consume. I live north of LA so even though it takes longer, often it's better to take the train considering the wear and tear on my car,the traffic, the price of gas and the hassle of driving. It all depends on your schedule and your flexability.
Google Amtrak and San Diego trolley and you'll get their schedules.
