First, thanks for whoever told me to bring a jacket for the bus. I probably would have stuck it in my suitcase, except for that advice.
There was a minor problem at the Metro ticket window. When I first arrived, the woman had a bit of an attitude and told me I had to wait for the 4 pm bus. No problem, I sat until about 1, before I went back up to buy my ticket. I don't know if what happened was an attempt to scam me, or an honest mistake. I handed the woman with the attitude a 1000 peso note. She kept asking me for 90 pesos, apparently she didn't have change. Finally she handed me 110 pesos back, instead of 610. I had to argue for a few minutes, she insisted I had given her 500. Finally she made a big show of counting all of her money, adding it all up and checking against her computer. In the end she gave me a pissed off glare along with my 500 pesos.
The ride was decent, sat with 2 guys who have spent some time here, helped pass the time and we had a few laughs. I walked down to Sosua Suites and was checked in 10 minutes later.
I got myself situated, walked over to Rocky's for a really good sandwich, then down to Rumbas for another beer and to check out the scene. I found a good spot to stand and watch for awhile and to practice my Spanish. I got a few chances to say "no, gracias". By the time I finished my beer, I wasn't feeling the magic, but I was feeling the effects of a long day, so I decided to pass on any action tonight. Tomorrow will be a good day.
How is the best way to describe Rumbas? Have you ever been in a strip club when you were the only customer, and all the strippers had no choice but to hang out with you? Multiply that by 20, and you have Rumbas.

Most of the guys who post here regularly have shagged more attractive women than they could every keep count of, so they have reached a certain level of karma at which they are not particularly impressed by young hotties. I don't think anyone really knows. The chances of a man getting it from a woman are probably pretty low, but I would refer you to two words, "Magic" and "Johnson". Possible he does have a magic johnson, but he claims to have gotten it from an unknown woman. In general healthcare providers are very reluctant to tell men that they are unlikely to get it from a woman, because it is always better to be safe than sorry. Anyway you can get genital warts, syphilis, gonorrea, chlamydia and so on from unprotected vaginal intercourse and if you have sores in your genital area that could provide a portal for the virus to cross over into your bloodstream. You can also catch all sorts of non-sexual diseases by associating promiscuously with poor people who lack the education or cash to protect their health. Skin infections like scabies are very common here.
Use common sense and caution by all means, but guys who obsess over their health should choose another hobby, or at least stop focusing on HIV.
