Interesting museum. There is an admission fee ($180 MX, or around $10.75 USD) which in my opinion is slightly pricy for what it is. Only other museum I've been to in Tijuana with an admission fee is the more well-known Tijuana Cultural Center (TECUT) in Zona Rio and that was only something like 50 pesos.

They make you take your shoes off and put on new socks they give you, which seems odd at first, but makes sense later as you're going through the museum. You can store shoes and other stuff in a small locker they provide you with. You can take your cellphone and wallet into the museum but I think they discourage taking certain other electronics into the museum for some reason.

Interesting museum where you go through 9-10 rooms each focusing on different aspects of tacos. A couple of the rooms are glorified playpens (designed more so for kids than adults) and others are set up to take selfies and group pictures. The museum is probably designed moreso for a group experience, though I still thought it was cool even though I went by myself.

Well-designed museum, though not particularly informative about tacos outside of the introductory video (which provides a primer on the taco making process) once you enter. Feel like they could add more material here.

This makes business investors nervous and the Mexican stock market had fallen as well.

As mayor in CDMX she tried to get rid of prostitution but the street girls fought back and won. But she was successful in getting it out of clubs. She believes that it promotes sexual trafficking. Now the Morena party can change the constitution so it's really up in the air. She has six years so it's a long time and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

As the other poster asked is what is your proof? If you just go by this site you see that most guys only spend money on the girls so the economy to the city is almost nothing. These aren't regular tourists that spend multiple days in the city, staying in normal hotels that pay taxes and visiting good restaurants and buying things at shops.

Also if the Zona did disappear it would just have the girls move to more online venues which is how CDMX is. Just like the US your not going to get rid of it but you don't have to advertise it so close to areas that are trying to get more tourists.

Also another interesting thing that is happening in Tijuana is the Pride community and bars that are next to the Zona are trying to get more recognition and would like to promote the area more and be similar to what has happened to the Hillcrest area of SD. Later this month they will have a concert with Paulina Rubio to promote this area.

Also she was chosen by AMLO who has a high favorably and has also hinted he will be helping her behind the scenes. She was the mayor of CDMX like AMLO so she is just basically walking in his footsteps. Her plan is to follow what AMLO started, more government help for the elders, higher minimum wage. Basically when you promise to give things to people to vote for you they tend to vote for you. Very similar to the US.

Well it's not because she's female since the runner up was also a female. They just like the party and it has quickly taken over control of Mexico.

The African influences in Brazil are overwhelming with a very large percentage of African descendants.

It's funny the huge main cathedral in Rio looks like a beehive or an African hut. Their Samba dances originate from Africa's traditional ceremonial dances, men and women stamp their feet, buck their hips in their fertility trance, suggestive of sex. Brazil's food is heavily African, spicy with grilling.

Argentinians are primarily influenced by Spanish culture. Their churches are in Romanesque style. The national favorite dance is Tango, claimed to be invented in Argentina, some said from France. The food is plain, spiceless and grilled, typical of Spain.

Argentinians are light-hearted and gentle, the nicest, sweetest, funnest people I came across. I was in BS As in 2012 and 2014 when the commercial sex scene was not wide open like in Brazil, and was not that good. Just an update to the elections in Mexico. The results getting released today show that the Morena party won a super majority in Congress but not in the Senate. They missed the Senate by 2. So the worries that the market had with them being able to change the constitution without having to rely on help from outside party members will not be the case.

So it will be interesting to see if this helps to stop the decreasing value of the peso or it will hold until the new government takes office.
