I met up with some guys at the beach at 2 pm. Some Haitians came over asking to braid my hair. I spoke to them in French telling them that I did not need it and that I was getting ready to leave and go to Santiago when I finished my drink. They said it would only take 20 minutes. They wanted 1200 pesos. I insisted that I did not want it. I finally caved when I offered 800 pesos and they accepted. Off to Santiago for non-pros now.

As many guys have said before it is a good idea to only negotiate short time when you meet someone; that way you don't get into the mixup that has always been my only problem with girls in Sosua. Also not a bad idea to get them to write the amount and until what time they will stay. None of that vague it is up to you and whatever time you like stuff.
A lot of chicks are asking 4000. Ran into another guy after he came out of the club and he said a chick even asked him for 5000. Also met a guy yesterday who said he gives them $100. Could it be that this type monger is becoming more prevalent so the girls are spoiled? The time of the cheap dates may be over and with a decreased quality to boot.

Just finished having a great time in Sosua. Shoutout to Monger69,Mr E, Shockman and a few other guys from this board for sharing some good times with me.

The low points were that Classicos gets crowded and hot after midnight, best to just hang out below at Merengue. My beloved Four Roses was empty every time I passed going to Ramonas. The area by Passions looked deserted and abandoned. City lights had only a couple guys there each night I went, don't know how much longer before they close.
Last night decided to head home about 2 am (Hanging with Mr E wears you out watching the constant battles he has with chicas). Got in the room and turned on the television and porn came on. Five minutes later I was on the prowl to snatch something walking past New Paradise, I felt like a criminal about to do a crime. Anyway with Rancho Tipico expanding plus the new Dominican bar you mentioned, it sounds like that area is undergoing a bit of a renaissance.

Our charity employs a kindergarten "profesora" for 4000 pesos a month (4 hours a day, five days a week) and when one leaves there are always six more wanting the job. They need other income and at least a quarter of the population is unemployed, so no other jobs.

Actually the word profesora is used pretty loosely to mean teacher, and it could mean that she has worked as a kindergarten teacher, so one step up from ninista. Or she could just have been bullshitting, since the schools are in session this week (or was this at the weekend? Did you ask her more about what kind of profesora she was? How much was she asking to teach a basic introductory course on fellatio? Whatever it was, it would grossly exceed the daily rate for teachers in the DR.
