In addition to the ST / LT confusion, the Asian Fiancial Crisis also began in mid '97. This lead to wildly changing prices, variations in prices across different regions and volitile FX rates. Girls were also falling on seriously hard times and accepting what ever they could get just to make ends meet. This means that what I may have paid at a certain time and place could be very different to what you paid esp in USD terms.
FWIW, I was routinely paying $7 to 10 for a LLT Friday to Monday weekend in remote Indonesia at the time. ST wasn't very popular but a quickie was just a couple of dollars in the jungle and maybe $5 in Jakarta.
I've been called out several times when I've quoted these prices before so people are free to believe them or not. I didn't keep my proof of purchase to justify them. 😁.

Your price of 2+2 k for Sabang is accurate and makes one think about grabbing a MNL girl for a holiday. I would seriously loose my shit if someone tried to do a ST runner at those prices. 🤬.
The Grand Central had a basic 3 star but big room, great location but quiet. No pool though.

I'm not aware of a separate ST BF rate but I could be wrong. Last trip I only did LT barfines of which one did a ST runner on me.
Outside the bars it's what ever you can negotiate either online or face to face. For ST I was paying half price ie 1500 vs 3000 but many would say I was over generous.

[/QUOTE]I missed a caveat in the prices below: you had to feed them. Several guys stiffed the girls to save their $5 or 10 and got away with it repeatedly without incident. However, if you skipped a meal, all hell would break loose. You had to feed them. 😁.

The barfine is for LT, but still clarify it with the girl.

As later post said prefer pay afterwards. So how would they take to half to bar and half to girl later? Discussion sees to say most just pay up front but some say try. I suppose try and they can only reject.

I think in most places half of what you pay goes to the bar and half goes to the girl. That is one reason it makes no sense to give a freelancer a bunch of money. If she was working at a bar and the barfine was 4000 (probably the highest BF in town), she would only get 2000 of it anyway. That is why it is no problem to get freelancers in AC for 1000 to 1500 LT.
