Must start by saying, I have no personal experience. But, with so many stories of my friends (who have spent years in that area) available, one can end up with money getting robbed even without entering into any adventures. More so, that area is the epicentre of illegal activities (runs through dongri, nagpada, pydhonie, chor bazaar and kamathipura nearby. One may find gems, but, especially in that area, I would have thought it very very risky. One would just stick to his valuables and move out ASAP. Forgive me, if it sounds like big words from a junior.

I am myself not senior on the forum! But have been on the scene for many long years, since the times when DBs were florid and hunting was easy.
This forum is loaded with more than enough information, to start and sustain punting.
You have to read between the lines and decode info, which is child's game.
Parlors might be best place to start with, it used to be DBs before. They are everywhere. But, depending upon where you are located, they may be concentrated in certain places, like Andheri, lokhandwala, juhu OR further south, around 'Giran Road', or powai, or 'V' place in new Mumbai.
A bit of reading on the forum, land in that area, use Google and Internet and you should find joy.
