Thailand is not as cheap as it once was but it is still cheap. Time people accepted 500 to 700ST doesn't exist in the way it may have in the past. But you can get 1000ST on Soi 6 where at least the girls are employed by the bar.
This just in new information: Top Pattaya girls do not want to do 3-4 ST and between 3-5k and between 5 and 7 k for LT rates with a handsome, young Korean (who have likely recently done military service and are fit as) or Japanese man and make potentially 20k in one night. They'd rather 500-700 baht (or 1/10) of the price to sleep with old American men by standing around on beach road.
Face it, in the modern world, the money is in Japan and Korea. That's where the girls go.

Why do the high end soapies have a different (cheaper) rate card for japs / Koreans?
If they are happy to willingly pay higher rates for the same girl and Service, wouldn't the establishments charge them more without worrying about antagonizing them?

To say that all japs / Koreans are rich and splurge is similar to saying all Americans are rich or all Indians are poor. It's just a stupid statement.
In my previous life I sold homes to all races which included a whole bunch of Koreans and guess what, they are as demanding if not more than a typical westerner when it comes to money and goods.
The only observation I made is. Tourists who come for a week or less tend to spend a bit more and enjoy the time rather than nickel and dime at every place. To say that a certain race pays more for less is not a compliment but an insult IMHO.

Because of racism against us in Japan and Korea.
Asians are superior as customers in Thailand. They have more money than the average westerner and they stay at the best hotels and can afford the best hookers. Girls don't want to argue with some idiot American who thinks 1997 prices should still apply. They are there to make a profit and make the most profit with Asian customers. It pisses me off; as this low balling is making girls think twice about westerners.
How far this goes is anyone's guess. I won't pay much more than 7000 for LT and of it goes to 10 I won't go around saying the best girls are on beach road I'll say they are still in the GoGos but I won't pay what's being asked because its too much for me personally for what's on offer.
I am against members of this forum making out that the Koreans and Japanese are stupid and over paying for girls. They are just paying the market rate for quality. There is a lot of hidden racism against the Thai on here; implying that because a girl is thai then she can't be worth more than 1 k which is BS.
It's almost 2020. The world changed. Prices went up. Enjoy it or move; but don't make out like the best girls are 700 baht on beach road. What is on beach road are girls who can't work in establishments; ask yourself why? She is either a thief, has HIV or is too ugly for a bar. If she was a good looking part time freelancer she would be at ibar, with all the other lookers, but I don't recommend that either and those girls usually charge more than 1 k.

When I was just a tourist I had no problem spending 10,000+ baht per day since I knew it was only going to be for a week or 2. Now that I live here I work hard to keep my daily expenses a fraction of that amount. It can easily get out of hand. Only a handful of Japanese / Korean spend a ton of money throwing ping pong balls and 20 baht bills while sitting with 4 girls and buying all wait staff drinks. These are the guys who are noticeable. Many just sit there and do not buy lady drinks or sit with 1 girl like everyone else. OTH, I know Indian guys who would put us all to shame with the amount of lady drinks they buy girls.

I know I will like that aspect of going on the hunt in those clubs as, in my mind, it still will be easier sealing the deal with the freelancers there than it is working the clubs here in the States. Cheaper too.
I don't know how I will feel about Agogos but I am going to give them a try. I have spent a lot of time over the years going to the hardcore, raunchy Strip clubs that you find in the Southern parts of the USA so I don't know how much the Agogo girls here will impress me but you never know until you give them a try. In RTFF and doing research, it looks like Windmill is a place I will definitely stop into. I also see the same owners have Sugarbaby and Anabelle's (I think that's the name) so they may be worth a visit too. Sapphire sounds like another place worth at least taking a peek into. Any other suggestions will be appreciated. I like the kind of places where the girls are friendly and will let your hands roam all over (think Hong Kong club in Tijuana, Mexico for those that have been). LK Metropole is literally steps to LK Metro. There is a short cut from the hotel lot into LK Metro. you don't have to walk out to Soi Diana.
Your budget of $200 USD per night for hobbying only is a generous one and should be sufficient unless you plan on doing 3 or 4 girls per day. Even so, you are still well within budget for 3 or 4 Soi 6 girls per day.
According to some (many) on here the quality has gone to the sh1tter since 2006. Glad you're coming here with a positive attitude instead of some on this board living in the past.
As for gogo bars, you don't need to restrict your bars to the likes of Windmill, Sugar Babies, etc. for hands on action. They are not known to have very good looking girls. It's standard for hands on action in any bar except for maybe Sensations and to some extent Happy.

Girls who, to my knowledge, are off the table anyways. I think it all comes down to how well heeled you are along with the duration of your stay and the type of experience / memories you are trying to make. A guy with a budget of 100K THB spread over a period of a week would have spending pattern that would appear extravagant, to the point of being vulgar, to a guy with the same budget to last him for a couple of months. Also, it is about priorities. There are many guys out there who are quite well off but would not throw away serious scratch just to prove a point or merely to be a cynosure of all watching. I have seen people in clubs paying 1 k THB to have their picture flashed on the screen for just a couple of minutes, which to a hobbyist, would be quite ridiculous as it is not for services rendered. Every year, particularly in recent years, more guys are flocking to Pattaya thinking this is where there is mongering arbitrage. Ready to be picked or found. Unfortunately, nowadays many of the newcomers come here and discover that - No - things are not so easy in this marketplace.
The global economy, cheaper air fares, and supply of Hotel rooms, apartments etc brings more guys here for 5 days or less for a cost of maybe $700 for air fare and hotel / incidentals. Maybe these guys budget say another $500 for drinks and girls.
This very same global economy and the internet options have reduced the supply of quality girls in Pattaya.
Unfortunately for them girls under 25 who are 6. 5 and above at a go go means drinks, bar fine and a ST go go girl 6. 5-7. 5 is 1,000 (drinks), 1000-1500 bar fine and 4,000 for the girl. LT total cost is 8-9 K.
After 3 days, these guys have only their day 4 and 5 left and a total sunk cost of close to $800-$1000 for their entire trip. So, on day 4 and 5 most of these guys have their backs against the wall. Pay up or go home with a 5 or under or over 35 yo from a beer bar for a total cost of 3. 5 k.
What does this MEAN IN TERMS OF NUMBERS?
If the 5 day average trip for guys coming here is correct then on any given day about 40 PERCENT of ALL the guys visiting here are on their day 4 or 5 with 48 hours or less behore they have to leave.
So, with 40 pc of visiting guys with their backs against the wall on a given day and the total sunk cost of their trip (due to demand being much greater than supply) go go prices are increasing rapidly.
Guys are flocking to the discos but many of these guys who seem confident in a go go bar don't seem to have the courage to propose to a girl. Or they don’t have any game . They just clam up. And both the quantity and quality of girls at the discos are also way down. So, lots of frustrated guys in general and on this board. Things are definitely a lot more challenging folks.
The prices are still a pittance. Europeans and Americans have experienced savage wage depression and economic inequality so are now not so rich as they once were. While many outside of the USA and Europe have seen fabulous increases in disposable income and they want to shove it in some pussy.
The one thing I agree on is competition for girls can get tough. That rightly leads to price increases.

1. Most Americans have had huge gains on their primary home since real estate prices have gone up quite a bit since 2009. People on the east coast and west coast have seen their home prices double or triple. Heck even in many Texas cities they have doubled during that time.
2. During the same period, stock prices have also more than doubled even considering or after returning to prior highs from before the financial crisis of 2008. The vast majority of Americans have significant assets in their 401 K.
Those making minimum wage or say even $50 k per year are NOT the type of Americans who even have a passport, let alone come to Thailand.
Asians tend to spend more when they drink and smoke, IMO, because it's also a socially liberating venue for them.
Asians do not have Mexico, Central America or South America close to them. So, they mostly prefer to stay in Asia whereas Americans are coming here and also in the other geographic regions.
Finally, there are some people who have $ but keep it quiet and are happy to see others part with their money and quietly smile on the inside knowing they could easily spend two or three times more than many of the Asians in Pattaya, and not care,! But are simply not going to do that here.
So, I think you are comparing apples to oranges. Just like the Russians who come to Pattaya are not the rich Russians, or even upper middle class Russians. I see very very few upper middle class Americans here. Mostly young guys with limited $ and net worth. A very large number of the Americans I know can drop $25 K in a month but simply are not going to. Why? Because over 95 pc of the girls in Pattaya simply are not in that class.
Even today there are more millionaires in the US than in Japan, Korea , China, India or Europe. That’s a fact.
