It's not going to change, nor can you as an individual influence change on this forum by ranting and raving about the prices paid by others. I think I speak for everybody here when I say that a change of venue is long overdue and you should start looking for cheaper destinations. I know that you tried Ghana sometime back with miserable results but West Africa is a different game, mentality and is not for everybody. Not to mention, far from cheap! Hopefully you've put that all behind you now and are ready to venture out of your comfort zone again and try another country?

If not, and you're still intent on coming back to Kenya with the same expectations, then spare yourself (and us) the frustration and about forget Mombasa. Instead, try looking up country in order to find small towns more conducive to cheap mongering. I'm sure others here are more informed than I as to the specific areas you should try. However, if you opt down this road, you might just find out that even cheap pussy in these places comes at a price in terms of time and travel on rough African buses, suspect safety conditions, marginal accommodations, the lack of beautiful beaches / bikini clad girls / Western style restaurants / pubs and most of all, the heart break of not being in the company of your beer guzzling buddies and the conversations you could of had going about other mzungus paying too much in Mombasa!

I have observed for at least 4 years that the classier / more beautiful girls tended to withdraw from places like Cheers, Casuarina and even Tembo when it still existed. They are relying on the eventual WU remittant and long distance boyfriend living a simple live with plenty of food and a decent roof on the head. They move within their Muzungu "boyfriends" as "good girls" making new friends and exchanging a frugal sponsor with a more generous one.

Being strictly a day time guy, I have very little firsthand experience of what goes on at night, but what you all are saying sounds plausible enough to me. .

A few days back, I visited BT for the first time in 2 or maybe even 3 years. Other than that the place has expanded considerably, nothing much seems to have changed : same arthritic mzungu retiree crowd, many with painful sunburns, and not much fresh blood among the girls either. She met lots of overseas guys online, with many of them pretending they were preparing for a visit to MBA. Most of them were creeps who freaked her out by asking for nude pics and Skype sex as a pre-qualifier for a physical encounter once they get here.

Then I came along and, so she told me, she was so determined to catch a real guy, somebody who actually lives here fulltime, that she threw all her goody-two-shoes principles out the window and dragged me into her bed as soon as we met.

Well, she hooked me solidly, and has kept me until now by virtue of her pleasant personality combined with killer looks and body and the greatest sex I have ever had (honestly) , in random order.
