I spent the winter's of 2011 and 2012 in Cuba
Brazil can take back the crown, but I think Cuba has a better chance. Its much closer to the USA and much cheaper. Brazil is more expensive (Although Flights have gotten cheaper, and the Brazil Real has taken a huge hit), Also what is going to deter most mongers.
Is getting a Brazilian Visa which cost $180.00. I can see more mongers going to Cuba then Brazil. I know a lot of Europeans that I have met in Medellin Columbia, and they told me Cuba is nice and untouched. As for Sousa it can fade into the background as mongers.
Are always trying to find a new place to tell there wives.
My MO in Cuba is to get a couple cans of beer and hang out in the Parks. In short order I meet a girl or two and we head back to my Casa. It all had to take place on the low down as girls are not supposed to speak to foreigners. Cubanitas are wild in the hay and really seem to enjoy it or at least pretend they do, I'm 62 and bald. No Cubanita ever complained about the 20 cuc (22 usd) I always gave them. Very hard to stay in touch with girls as they don't have cell phones. All in all very pleasant experience. I hear the clubs in Havana have lots of available girls, I wouldn't know about that, I never went to one. I did frequent many Cuban bars, that are dirt cheap and accept cup's, many girls looking for Cuban guys there but happily accept the attentions of a Forigner. I fear for the worst now that it is opening up. I don't think I will return there. I have my hopes set on DR, where I have never been. I enjoy reading this board and planning the best way to handle my up coming trip. Lonely.
