Medellin Reports

Good evening!

I just flew in today, spent 18 months in Thailand a couple of years back and I'll be here for about 6 months. Probably in South America for a couple of years. I've been mongering for about 30 years off and on.

I read the Christmas posts and how dead it was and didn't think it would be quite so dead on New Year's Eve, in Bangkok or Pattaya there would be multiple clubs with parties and specials, I'd have thought at least one club would be going off. No such luck. It is kind of nice that even the working girls are getting some family time on a holiday.

Seems like you have to be a bit more careful here than in Thailand, I'd walk through anywhere in Bangkok day or night and feel perfectly safe. Though I've spent quite a bit of time in developing countries, so not an issue, just something to watch out for.

I've got a copy of the map and walked 5 miles today trying to find some action! At least I got to know the area a bit, I'm in Laureles.

Looking forward to meeting folks and getting to know the scene, I'm actually hoping to find a girlfriend but I'm not going to be celibate in the meantime! My Spanish is shit, so I'll be taking lessons.

I believe, is the nicest girl friendly hotel in El Poblado. It clearly states on the card they give you at check in that you may and should register other guests that go to your room. It is located near an overpass / highway, A little noisy but easy walk to Oviedo & Sante Fe malls. Other posters have noted most of the upmarket hotels are not chica friendly. Unfortunately, the good stuff is all spread out in MDE so one must UBER / taxi mostly. The Metro system is way cleaner and newer than US systems and also would make staying in Estadio doable.

I noticed that most Mileroticos ads don't have a face pic. Unfortunately I didn't try it on my virgin trip, but if I did I would have wanted a face pic before asking them to come. I assume you just add their WhatsApp and request a face pic or is there another method?

If you're returning to Medellin you're going to find transportation just a little more expensive.

The Metro, without a Civica card, is now 2400 cop, a 100 cop increase. At least one bus line has raised from 2000 to 2100 cop. Taxi meters begin at 3200 and minimum fare is 5400 (formerly 3000 and 5000 cop). The mileage rate has increased too. My normal cab ride home went from 6200 to 6900 cop.

We stopped by Gusto on New Years Eve and I can confirm it was pretty dead, maybe 4-3 girls working, and a few other foreign girls unaware of the kind of place it was. I've been told one can expect this to be a quiet week in Medellin with many girls gone to Fincas for the week. I've tried FB prepaga forums, not having much luck on FB or Instagram just yet.

The other piece of advise given here is don't do it with someone you just met or someone you think won't want to stay. There's nothing like TLN with a crazy or someone who is bored out of their mind.
