I would not risk taking the trolley at the later time like some people are suggesting to catch a 6 am flight.

The time it takes from the border to American plaza is more like 40 to 45 minutes not an hour. Also the 992 Bus timed its arrival at that intersection with that of the train, so 80% of the time I left the train and walked right into the Bus. I have TSA pre via GE and never checked bags in, so that helped. I had to grab the 6 AM SW flight to be in the office at 9:30 to 10 AM in Norther Cali. I have to say things were tightly on schedule. Finally I got tired of it and started taking days off on Fridays every Month out of my vacation hours to get back late on Sunday evenings. That curbed my presence in Tijuana from every week to every month though.

I am just making a statement since it was suggested it was not possible until now via public transit. The BUS stated will be a much better option now, so one can arrive early at the Airport if they have to take a 6 AM flight.

My statement was that it is possible, that is it. The Bus option stated is much better now it is available.

I said about an hour and 45 minutes is close to an hour by 15 minutes. Ok let's say 45 minutes, that is still cutting it close and anyone who has spent any time using public transportation knows that some times it doesn't arrive or depart on time. There's actually been times when I arrived at America Plaza and the trolley was already leaving before I got off the 992 bus from the airport and vice versa when arriving from the border and I would have to wait on the next bus. For someone that has to check bags and / or doesn't have TSA Pr-echeck shouldn't make that gamble / risk. It could be even risky for someone with TSA Pre-check and a carry on depending on how everything goes. I wouldn't chance it unless I was catching a later flight. Getting to the airport in plenty of time is a priority just in case there are some unforeseen circumstances. The 910 bus is a great option.

Everything would have to line up perfectly with no delays or problems to catch a 6 am flight using the trolley and 992 bus and even with those advantages there could be a situation that could arise that may not be favorable.

What's the current name of the hotel that is walking distance to the border crossing? It is right in front of the trolly. You have to walk up the driveway to get to the lobby. I believe its next to a bank.

Looks like it's permanently closed, though.

If you like a smaller bar you can also go to Siete de Copas which is the same ownership and they have hotel Cancun attached to it. Not as cheap as La Cueva but it's an option if you want to try it.

Nothing like having an Indio Mega at the 2 Indios Bar.

Located in Zona Norte on Constitution between Primera and the Alley. Local scene with Karaoke and Live Music tonight.

Side note: Pop in to some bars that cater to the locals around Zona Norte. You would be surprised with what you can find.
