Last time I just missed this one on the drive from Santiago to Santo Domingo. This was right at the time the guy who said he was sure he could drive in DR because he drove tractor trailers and was the best driver in the world.
Where exactly were you on the highway? Where is BC?
What type of bus was this? A guagua (minivan type bus) or a big caribe tours / metro type bus? How did they crash? Do you have more details? Looks pretty fucked up. Damn! Scary shit.

After seeing the roads and drivers in the DR, I feel just as confident in my abilities.
What I can't understand is why you, and a few others choose to attack and insult people rather than actually being helpful. It's a very common internet phenomenon. I suppose it's the security of being able to hide and run away. We did the same when I was a kid, hide at night and throw things at passing cars. We always knew we could get away in the dark. I guess you have to do what works for you.
Just like anyone else who spends a significant portion of their time driving, I see wrecks as bad and worse at least 50 times per year, although the bus wreck is the sort of thing I only see about once every 10 years, although in the US, the body count is usually less and the emergency response is usually only a few minutes. Minor accidents (vehicles need towed away, but no serious injuries) I see a few every day.

I just don't know the culture well enough to know if these girls regularly run scams or set ups for their novios. It didn't seem like it when I was there but if their is even a hint of that I don't want to bother.

The DR non-pros that ask for money are generally unemployed and have little or no desire to be employed or even look for a job. They want a man to take care of them. I ran into this a lot in my first few trips to DR. I used DC more and more, met up with more non-pros but found myself being asked for money a short time after fucking them. Heck, some even hinted at needing money before I met them for the first time!
Then I started to refine my focus. Chicas in tourism, hospitality, and retail industry in DR. Or banking, guess what? I don't think a single one asked for money. Well, fuck me. I guess that's what a normal chica is like. I think that because the DR has high unemployment, many non-pros will ask for $$. But now if you want to consider those to be "normal", that's what gives the perception that they will all ask for money. Others may have different experiences, but that my observation based off what I have experienced.

DR has a very high unemployment rate. Many ladies I know work 6 days a week for wages they can not live on. I have met very few lazy DR folk. Many are frustrated but who would not be. The working class make less then a subsistent wage. I am not looking for deep relationships that upper class ladies want. We are here primarily for P4 P not love relationships. I try not to lie or mislead the girls. These quote normal girls do not fuck 50 plus foreigners last time I checked

A few of my chicks even have their own places and I stay with them some time. And they have told me that if a Dominicana ever asks for money then run.
Last time I was in Santo Domingo I met up with a girl at one of Gogo's spots who owns a pest control company AND works for the government. I sent him a picture of her. Even the girl I have in Boca Chica who does nails still won't let me pay her for doing my nails. The only girls that have ever asked me or I have ever given money to in DR were known prostitutes that I picked up on the spot.
One DC college chick that I met online a few years back asked me to give her Puma shoes. If I would have done that the next week it would have been something else and the week after that something as well. I saw where it was headed so I cut her off. And I had been to her house and met her mom and was sure she wasn't raised on that tip.
