[/QUOTE]Interesting. I looked at the charts and in fact the USD to Brazilian Real was at 4 in January 2016. For what it's worth 1 Brazilian real right now is a little under 900 Colombian pesos. When I was in Sao Paolo I paid the garotas 200 reals (sometimes a little more). That's around 200 k Colombian pesos. With that said Sao Paolo was full of clip joints where you can end up spending a lot more (I'm looking at you Scandallo) but if you went to the reasonable brothels like Tangara and the Casarão nightclub you won't be spending that much.
Only problem I had in Sao Paolo is that there is literally fuck all to do during the day. Like FUCK all.

With regard to the 4 to 1 exchange rate, I'm guessing Mr E is referring to 2001- 2004. The rate more than doubled in the hysteria over Lula's election, and us gringo mongers started treating the Real like play money. When the hysteria died down and the rate returned to where it was, everyone was griping about how expensive it had become.
I'm not saying the same thing will happen in Colombia, but exchange rates can move dramatically and very quickly. Maybe by then, Venezuela will be safer and we'll all move our hobbying next door.
