Guys I had a good friend living in Northern Thailand. He was English very wealthy in his 70's and married to the most beautiful local girl aged 40 for over 10 years. Money was not a problem for him and he had settled down, bought a large farm for his wife, large house and spent his days being a good husband, playing golf and his wife doted on him.
I asked him had he ever taken his wife to back home to England and he looked at me with a wry smile and said "Never it will only ruin her" I guess the same principle can be applied all over Asia where older guys marry younger women. Problems can still arise where the age difference is not great but I think age gaps can exacerbate problems once the girl returns to your own country.
Personally speaking, if I ever marry a Filipina it will be because I want to settle down with her in the Philippines and not expose her to the temptations and negativity of Western culture and the heartbreak and financial damage that could potentially lead to. That said there are real success stories where guys have returned to their own country with their new wife, but I think the failures outweigh the success stories

Absolutely right. And as the original post pointed out they will miss their own social circle, chatting with friends, visiting the relations etc etc. So going overseas is certainly a wrench for them in a lot of ways.

I have always thought that the best strategy for a western male is:

Stay single while you are young - you will be able to monger round the world and still save heaps of money compared to being married. Even if you pay for high class hookers at home, it is still cheaper than being married and raising a brood of kids who will probably hate you anyway when you eventually split with the fat white cow you married. You ought to be able to easily accumulate fucks with over a thousand different women by the time you get to fifty. (That's only 35 or so bimbos a year, so even once a week with a hooker from twenty to fifty and a trip to the Phils makes that a cinch).

Then when you have gotten to middle age but saved enough money to retire (because you DIDN'T get married, you are now rich), move to the Phils or Thailand - leave your money AT HOME in the west, and live off your investments. Tie them up so you can't get them out and have them scammed off you.

Fuck, drink, amuse yourself stupid for twenty years or so with multiple young and willing partners. Do everything you ever fantasized about and more...with pictures. :) Send pix home to your married friends just to p1$$ them off. If you can't do another thousand different women by the time you get to seventy - you aren't trying hard enough.

Then when you are in your seventies - marry and have kids. :) The wife and kids will look after you, and when you finally kark it, they will have enough money to go on with invested in the west.

Everyone wins - except the fat white cows back home...and my heart pumps p1$$ for them. LOL.

But do that in the Phils or Thailand (or wherever), because by this time you are somewhat used to their culture.

I am almost now at the Fuck, drink and amuse myself stage, and well toward the second thousand.

Good points. I'm not from west, but i agree. I think what you said applies to every monger on earth. The best thing is... it is soo much easier to do and follow than anything that society throws at you.

I think ignorance is bliss holds only for a while then nightmare begins...knowledge and info like this will last forever.

I think many of these gals are doing the same thing we are...mongering! Come on now, two can play that game! You can take the gal from the bar, but you can't take the bar/club scene, etc. from the gal. We all know of horror stories from folks getting divorced, taken to the cleaners, etc. It can be an expensive piece of ass at times! Just remember, you might have a great looking woman, beauty, etc...but you can bet your life that one of your friends is thinking, MILF! And they usually do! And sometimes, the gal stays stand up, meaning, some won't fuck around.

Asian women are a bit like exotic butterflies; take them out of their natural habitat and their colours fade, they change and quite often become drab, sad and dull. They then often counteract their initial misery by comfort eating, put on weight and because they feel they have become unattractive, get unhappier and so starts the vicious circle that often lead to a failed marriage.

But Filipinas are slightly different in that they are natural chameleons in that they adapt and blend in almost anywhere whist never losing their national identity and love for their country. This is as described in the report of Max as posted by W. This can be good for the girl but bad for the guy as he sees his beloved sweet Pinay metamorphosise almost before his eyes into a reasonable facsimile of the dreaded westernized fat b****. It is heartbreaking.

But compromises can be reached, I can assure you. In my own case, we have simply reversed roles. I have become the token Filipino and spend much of the year in The Philippines taking care of our various joint local business interests, supervising my online business concerns and playing the philandering playboy on the side (although this is not in the job description;)) whilst the strife is UK based, has become more British than I ever was, a workaholic who constantly whines about the weather, but holds down a well paid job and is a successful businesswoman on the side and loves every minute of it. She knows that she could have an easy life in The Philippines anytime she wants but is doing what she loves …making loads of money and I am doing what I love … erm ..you can guess! And amazingly, it does works and we even get on when together (much better than we did when constantly on each others back). The idiot who first said ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’, had a point.

If you had told me twenty years ago, where I would be today, I would have told you that you were pissed or barmy and most likely both as I would have expected to be still chasing my arse in the endless rat race that is life in the west. So marrying a Filipina is probably the second best thing I ever did in my life.

I have listened to many a guy recount the terrifying experience of waking up one morning only to find himself wondering who was the fat toad that ate his slim sexy Asian doll and then took her place in bed beside him. There may be the odd exception gentlemen but if you marry a Filipina and take her back home with you this is the best you can hope for. I have friends who opted for marital bliss. They married beautiful slender women, the epitome of arm candy. Seeing these women 3 years after they were removed from their home countries they were not even shadows of their former selves. They obviously over indulged in the Asian love for pork. I didn’t know whether I should feel pity for the guys or double over in laughter at their predicament. In most cases I opted for the latter. :D

My wife and I have been married for several years here in the US, and we have a very large age difference between us. She has her own car and a job now, and tells me that she is hit on by guys at work and elsewhere almost daily. She has never given me any reason to question her loyalty.

Indeed, she has made many Filipina friends here in the US, but actively rejects friendships with those she regards as "bad women, " which she defines as those who badmouth their husbands and go out to bars and discos at night. The key is making sure you find someone with a strong moral fiber and decent family.

Interestingly, on those few occasions when we have had out normal marital "spats, " she called her mom in the Philippines, who told her to stop acting like a child and to give her husband proper respect. Every time my wife would call her mom when we had an argument, she would later apologize and ask forgiveness for. Whatever.

My wife also has a 35-year-old aunt who has been in the US for about 10 years, and originally came to the US on a fiancee visa. About 5 years ago, her much-older husband had a heart attack and died. My wife's aunt works and earns a modest living, and is still very attractive. Whenever we have visited her, I noticed that she still keeps pictures of her late husband all over her apartment, and still visits her husband's gravesite every week. To this day, she still refuses to date out of respect for her late husband.

The good ones are out there, and they can still be much younger than you, but you need to make an effort to find them- and you won't find them working as bargirls.

There are good ones and bad ones and those from the P.I are no better or worse than women from other countries; it's all about up bringing, values, morals, etc. Some women are loyal and some men are loyal....but not most on both sexes!
But we all know, if you don't pay attention to your woman, another man will! And I am a firm believer that even our best friends want to fuck our wives/girlfriends! And many of our buddies play it off but if a chance comes up, they will dip into your woman if she is a MILF!

It comes down to the fact that you have to know who you are marrying and know their " true values" assuming that you know your own true values in the first place.

I've been married for many years and have lived in many countries. My wife has managed to always find a good group of like minded Filipinas in all the countries we've lived in, and she's quickly discarded those who might be less than straight up, less than honest or those with less than solid intentions. There are great people out there in the world, we sometimes only focus on the bad, especially in these forums.

We now have a great situation where we enjoy significant material gains from my job and business interests outside of my job, with the offset that I have numerous business trips where I get the chance to play away, and regualar trips to Manila where I indulge to the max.

I'm sure that we both know that we know what goes on but we have settled into a happy peaceful situation. Marrying a good Filipina. Best thing I ever did.

How is this for a plan:

I find a highly skilled nurse, marry her, and she starts making lots of money for the two of us. (no kids to screw up the plan)

Then I move to the Philippines by myself.

She then can send all the money she wants to her family in the Philippines (that would be me!).

She could also send some to her family.
It's a win/win/win situation.

If she later decides to divorcee me, I will gladly cash the alimony checks in Borakay.

LOL - yup its a dream scenario all right and even more of a cunning plan if you have your own separate healthy income so that then the wifeys money goes into setting up businesses (which in turn employ the n'er do well relatives hence getting them off your back) and buying condos which further adds to your coffers with business and rental income.

There are a lot of decent caring Filipinos that make excellent wives and partners, and I agree you will not find them in a bar.
Having lived in Angeles long enough to know many bar girls, I would not let them within a mile of my life. great for fun but nothing else.
I married a very attractive lady with a University degree, some money, and years of experience living abroad. She was also a virgin to boot.
Caring beyond belief, loving, supportive and a sex life that leaves me smiling daily.
I wonder why I waited so long to marry a Filipino? I have no regrets and could never return to a western lady in man pants.

I spoke to lot of foreigners when I was in CDO. I’m always interested in the stories of others. So after noticing a guy sitting alone at breakfast every morning at my hotel (I though of him as the Lonely Guy), while I shared my table with various female visitors, I finally asked him if I could join him for lunch one afternoon. Through our conversation during lunch we talked about many things. The most interesting thing that he said to me, was that he was an educator who worked for the University of Maryland who resided and worked in Japan, and he had flown to the Philippines to meet an online chat mate that he had become serious about. Unfortunately, she wasn’t that serious about him, because when he arrived, she and about seven of her family members took him out to dinner at a seafood house, and had him spend a bunch of money on dinner for everyone that he told me he had not expected to spend. On top of that, the chat mate, he said, wouldn’t even come to his hotel to spend time with him. All in all, he had know this girl for several months in an online relationship, and now felt deceived and disappointed by her behavior, thinking her actions not right after all the plans they had made together online.

I felt bad for this guy. He seemed like an intelligent, 40ish year old man with a lot of common sense, but yet he got caught up on this one girl fantasy of his and wouldn’t let it go. I invited him to go out on the town with me so I could show him how easy it was to engage women in conversation in the Philippines. All types of women from all walks of life. I even told him it would be my treat; that he wouldn’t have to spend a dime. He declined my offers, and instead chose to hang around the hotel area everyday doing not much of anything. I don’t think he got laid the whole time he was there. I also think he had financial issues and had planned his trip down to the last Peso, but was thrown for a loop when things didn’t workout according to his meticulous planning, and there he was, too prideful to admit it, being a professor and all. There are a few lessons in this story. Firstly, you never put all your eggs in one basket and think that basket incapable of falling apart. There are many beautiful women in the Philippines. Try a few on for size before you dedicate yourself to one...especially if your shopping online! Always have a backup plan. Secondly, if you have to plan your trip down to the last peso, then maybe the Philippines is not for you. Yes, it’s cheap here if you’re Filipino, and cheap here if you’re a foreigner who has adjusted their lifestyle accordingly through a lot of time and experience moving about the country, but if you’re a newbie on vacation here, you tend to spend more money than you would have anticipated. So there it is. Don’t be the Lonely Guy!
