Error: I will be arriving and visiting Artemis Thursday March 31.
I just want to thank all who have made the effort to post reports. I especially want to thank Angus for his wonderful "Walk to Artemis from Westkrues" video. I stumbled on to it doing a Youtube search.
I will be flying into TXL Thursday afternoon and booked a room at AVUS (51 Halenseestrabe) for 39 Euros using.

I plan to spend a long Thursday afternoon / evening at Artemis. I am visiting Germany (Europe) for the first time to visit my son studying in Greifswald. I will take a train up north the next day.
I travel extensively to Philippines, Thailand, Costa Rica and Colombia- but never been to Europe. I do have a couple of general questions:
1) I will be short of time in Berlin- where can I exchange US dollars for Euros? Are the airport ATMs or exchange booths ripoffs compared to elsewhere? (It seems that airports are often terrible places to change money- in some countries they are as good as anywhere)
2) Are there any experts here on the Greifswald area- anything going on up there?
Thanks! Troyboy
Greifswald, Germany, Mecklenburg-Lower Pomerania

March slowdown at Artemis
Customer volume. May be seasonal but I worry when some very solid performers complain about business.
It's a marketplace. If there's a problem with getting business, I think it's up to the performers to figure out how to deal with it. I'm not suggesting like others that they drop their rates, but there is room to up their game, collectively speaking.
If I were in their position I would imagine consistency of quality is the key to repeat business. If customers have, say. 10 or 20% bad experiences, then even the best girls are going to lose 50% of their business based on numbers of people returning to the club. (To use my favourite restaurant analogy, imagine there were usually sumptuous servings but maggots in the soup for 10% of visits. It would affect business and people would talk about spoiled potential.) It's up to Artemis to consider the math and how to deal with it.
By the way I remember on days when there was a high guy to girl ratio, I might say to a girl,"Hey let's sit and chat for a bit," and she would say,"No, I'm only interested in sex." Now on a day when there is a high girl to guy ratio, I am not going to weep for the girls. I think it might make them relax a bit more and take more effort (enough to be civil) with the customers.
About the system of fixed prices, I agree that's a good one. Haggling would really be a vulgar experience for all participants. (At the same time people are entitled to get what they pay for.)
