I have been a member a while, but rarely post. I come to China twice a year usually for the months of April and October. My best punts have been thru WeChat using the Look around feature. Ctrip allows you to purchase her ticket, but you must use Chinese characters for her name and have her Chinese ID#.

1. Ever taken the train from Guangzhou to Sanya? Takes longer but always been a little fantasy to have train sex in a private car Plus the train on the ferry seems cool too.
2. Would you stay out at one of the self contained resorts? Or closer to town? She requested a nice quiet place in nature away from the city, but I know Chinese women loath the sun. I am afraid during the day we will be bored if we do not stay near the downtown area. Which might be a good thing, but I do enjoy a variety of restaurants and do not want to be stuck at only one place. Is it easy to go back and forth? Any hotel recommendations on a hotel in the $100-$200 a night price range?
3. I am assuming in Sanya there will be little trouble with unmarried guests in the same room if I am willing to register her also. Which is what I have done in Beijing and Shanghai.
4. Any other recommendations for a better vacation spot to take her beside the beach. I am a little worried about taking the beach. Some Chinese do prefer the mountains more. Not sure if she swims either.

My usual mode of operation for purchasing tickets fot local flights within China:
- I check flight schedules on ticket. [URL]9588.com[/URL].
- I determine which flight (s) I want time wise and pricewise.
- I always use the hotel's travel desk or (in case no travel desk) go to a local travel agency with instructions which flight I want. Knowing all ticket prices in advance can prevent you from any unpleasant surprises.

2) Stay in Yalong Bay. There are many restaurants, overpriced, but it has the best beach, the cleanest water and it is away from, but not too far away from, downtown. The hotels are in your price range (if you are talking 100-200 dollars, not RMB) EXCEPT during National Day week, October 1, and during Spring Festival. The beach is not used by locals, so it is clean and uncrowded.
3) No problem checking in.
4) There are mountains in Hainan, one right next to Yalong Bay, if you are bored.

For booking air, you could just let the hotel front desk do it for you. If the girl has her Chinese passport, then she could book the airline ticket with her name in pinyin, otherwise, Chinese characters and Chinese ID mandatory.
You could try website called Yilong to book hotels. They sometimes have better prices on some old 4 stars hotels.
I have never been to China and am not going there exactly but I will be passing through.
I fly often to the Philippines for pleasure and ever since Delta made the benefits dollar based instead of mileage based I have begun to just take the cheapest routes possible. So this time I used that app with the running rabbit app which put me on China Southern flight with a 12 hour layover in Guangzhou airport from apprx 1 pm to 1 am on a Tuesday.
So my question is two fold. Whats the possiblity of entering Guangzhou on such a short window? I never even considered it as I never had such a long layover anywhere, Even if it involves spending 8 of the 12 hours going through the bueracracy and traffic, its better than cooling my heels in terminal.
Is there any possible itinerary where I could get some action? Unfortunately it will be my return flight not my arriving flight. On the way in I'm like a sailor on shore leave. Leaving I'm pretty satiated sex wise but I will be up for an adventure.

1. You may or may not be even given a visa, depending on your nationality (unless you get one before you leave your origin city).
2. I don't have any local knowledge of Guangzhou. I have, for the last 6 years, considered it a sexual desert and so I have stayed away, even though it was only 1 1/2 hours from where I lived. Others may disagree!
You could go to Dongguan or Zhuhai, where there is a little bit of action, but my recommendation is to save your money for more enjoyable destinations.
You missed out by 2 years, when ChangPing in Dongguan was the ultimate sex Disneyland. There were 100's of hotels with KTVs and saunas, some of which had line ups of more than 300 girls. The good ol' days (sniff)!
