It is standard procedure and will help both sides avert an unpleasant start.

The hope is the hotel has a free room and the reception is kind enough to let us into at least one of the rooms early. If not there's enough to do around the area until rooms open up. The cheaper the hotel and more popular, the less likely you'll be able to check in early.

Arrived at Soi 6 around 5 pm. It was actually the best I've seen it for a long while. Haven't been for a bit since I was out of town on a visa run. There's a 24 hour restaurant in the basement of royal garden mall. Better than hanging out at burger King or McDonald's.

Ibar is open til 6 or 7 am I think.

All Thai bars are open all night long.

I believe the gym at Avenue mall is open 24 hours. You can even take a shower there. I think it's 300 baht for 1 day, 1700 per month.

If you're arriving in Bangkok, grab a room there, go grab a girl, and come to pattaya the following day.

Anyone been to Ban Chang lately? Just wondering if it's worth the hour taxi ride. If so, which are the best bars now?

Had a great time with BB cruising on Soi 6 last night. Lineup was pretty good, with at least 6 girls I'd go with. Much, much better than Soi Love Inn.

I'm arriving Saturday around midday and plan to head there for opening time. The alternative is near Soi Chaipapoon & Soi Lengkee where some places open earlier.

Are the short time rooms still available in the bars on Soi 6 or have they been shut down and banned by the police and government? Just wondering as I read in the news about the police crackdown last year and these spots will make up the majority of my trip.

Drink prices are an estimate. I don't pay too much attention to drink prices on Soi 6 or G Clubs since I know it will be cheap. I only pay attention at gogo bars.

Well that's not good. Dark Side was pretty bad the last 2x I went. I'm scheduled for another Dark Side run soon. I'm always searching for my hidden gem in a wasteland.
