The closest and cheapest parking lot is behind the Jack-off-in-the-Box for $7 for 8 hours. It is not that bad of a walk from there. But there is a slight hill, stairs, and ramps to negotiate to get to a taxi. Don't try to park on the east side late Friday or a Saturday, there will not be any spaces available.

Good luck![/QUOTE]Agreed, the parking lot behind Jack in the Box is the best value, but on the weekends the wait line just to get into the parking lot is getting longer and starting earlier.

I would suggest to OldAsiaHand that there is an alternative to a long walk if you do park on the west side of the freeway.

In the Ueta Lot on Camino De La Plaza near the freeway exit intersection, in the back of the lot near the buildings is a staging area for the PediCabs.

I actually took a ride in one on Saturday, I parked in the back of the lot and one of the guys hit me up if I wanted a ride, I thought about it for a second and said 'why not'. It's only $3. 50, they do all the pedaling up the hill and get you to the border entry area near Jack in the Box. I'm fit to walking long distances, but I guess the novelty piqued my interest so I got a ride, the driver put in a good effort and I gave him a tip.

The ones on Iris or Beyer are OK, but there are many others. Take the trolley to the border. It stops closer to the new entrance than any parking lot.

You can park free in the lots for one 24-hour period.

I went to Tijuana on 12/12/12. This time I pleasantly was able to drive right up to and park in the UETA parking lot with no problems. If you read my report from my last trip there you can read about my parking issues I had last time and why I was so nervous this time. No problems this time. Since I was next door to that UETA shopping place I decided to give it a try. I had seen those UETA's on the Nuevo Progresso, Nogales and Mexicali border crossings but I had never went in them so I wanted to check them out. Do not waste your time. The prices in there were just as high as any place in the states. If you want to buy boos or something you are better off buying them in Mexico. I did not buy a thing there. I got done and then found though that they had changed the entrance to Mexico from last time I visited in July. I actually had to walk west of the UETA parking lot and go north at the crosswalk and then head back east to get on the walking bridge. I walked the walking bridge and got into Tijuana and found that the entrance really has changed. Kind of threw me for a loop! I was expecting to see a McDonalds from my last trip where taxi's congregated at but instead I went through some very long walking bridge on the Mexican side through a little Mexican immigration office and then follwed signs to the taxis and finally after walking quite a ways got to a place where there was probably like 30 taxi cab drivers standing next to the border asking everyone where they wanted to go. I would say this is an improvement since you just had to read the signs which were in English to the taxis. The first cabbie that walked up to me and asked me in very clear English if I needed a Taxi I took. It was kind of funny though in that I found that in Tijuana the Hong Kong club is not pronounced with soft o's. When I said Hong Kong the cabbie had no idea what I was talking about. Finally, another cabbie that appeared to be some sort of cabbie supervisor person heard me and he said back to the cabbie Hong Kong pronounced with hard o's. Then he knew where I wanted to go to. The cab ride was $3 but I gave a $1 tip. The cab driver was very nice and told me that he like to go to Hong Kong during his time off too.

I got to Hong Kong and this time a porter from the Las Cascadas immediately walked up to the cab and openned the door and in plain English offered to take my bag for me to the Las Cascadas and was telling me why I should stay there. I could tell he was legit and not a carterista that was going to run off with my stuff because he was fully decked out in a Las Cascadas uniform. Besides, I really did not have much in that bag that any carterista would want (maybe just a change of clothes and some toiletries). I already had reservations at the Las Cascadas that I had made on the internet so that worked out great. I tipped him $1 and he accompanied me to the desk where they found my reservation with no problem this time (last time they could not find it) , I paid for the room ($40 internet special rate + $10 key deposit) and the desk clerk handed the key to the porter and he took me to my room. I got myself situated in my room and hid some money in case the carteristas got my money and headed to the Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong was just as great as it was last time. It is definitely the best club that I have been to anywhere in the world. It has the hottest ladies and the wildest shows. It lived up to its expectations this time too. I went in there and was immediately accosted by the dancers trying to get me to buy them drinks. That is one thing I did not like. I wish they would at least give me a chance to sit down and relax. I had just driven about 6 and a half hours from Tempe, Arizona (suburban Phoenix) so I really needed to relax. I did find though a way to avoid this in the future. I found that if you sit directly at the main stage from the front entrance and not at a table the girls will not bother you for drinks. You then of course just need to tip the girl dancing $1 every once and a while. When you do tip your fingers are allowed to roam anywhere you want to put them though. Tijuana strip clubs are so much better than Phoenix ones!

After I had watched a few hotties dance and went to the shaving cream show and lesbian sex show I did finally get a few girls some drinks. The first two tried to tell me there names but I could not understand them. They were ok but as I looked around I could see ones that were better looking. One of the girls that I got a drink from was a deported undocumented person that had lived in Tempe for 10 years before she got deported. After I was rested I went back to the Hong Kong club. I got there and Paulina was on the small stage by the front door as you enter. I sat down at a booth close to her hoping to this time get her to talk to me. Finally when she was done dancing she went over to another table and sat down and started texting on her iPhone. I figured she was probably resting so it would not be a good idea to go up to her yet. It is right next to the walking bridge. It costs $10 per 24 hours. The thing I like about it besides being the closest one there is to the border is that it also is more honest. It charges $10 per literal 24 hour period. This means for example if you get there at 1 pm and you leave the next day at 12:45 pm you pay $10. At the other lots you would pay for two days because the day starts over at midnight. That means at the other lots if literally if you get there at 11:14 PM and return at 12:30 AM you pay for 2 days. UETA parking does not do that shit. So even though it is more expensive at $10 per day you still pay less than the $8 ones because they use a literal 24 hour period.

Also, I noticed on Wednessday that when I went into the UETA store to look around that they had advertised that if you purchase $10 worth of shit from them that they would give you a free ride to the border. I did not try that so I do not know how well it works. You could just go into UETA and purchase like $10 worth of boos, cigarettes, chocolate, cologne etc and then have them give you a free ride. UETA is literally touching the border. I could see my car while standing in Mexico. It is the best and the closest. It can be tough to get though as it is the most popular lot there. Make sure you get there early.

It was raining dollar bills in HK! I'm not sure who the dude was, but he liked a few of the dancers and kept giving this girl in regular clothes stacks of dollar bills.
