Sea Imperial Palace and Taojin metro
For greater clarity to get to the Sea imperial Palace, come out of Taojin metro up the stairs of Exit A. Continue walking in the same direction about 600 meters to the Ocean Hotel. It is a tall blue building. The elevators to the spa are located toward the back of the lobby.
I never tried the 72 hour visa but it sounds like you might qualify with your arrogant American passport. http://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/free-72hour/..
The beauty of the Guangzhou airport is once you exit the Customs and Immigration hall, head downstairs to the subway stop that is located right in the terminal building. You will need some coins or small bills to buy a token from the ticket machine. The machine has English. And just click on the map for the station you want to go to. There are many sauna / spas in Guangzhou. One I went to is at the Taojin stop on line 5. It is located in the Ocean hotel. See post # 2458 a couple of pages back. From the airport on line 3, you can get there in less than an hour. You have to change lines twice but suggest you don't do so at the Guangzhou Railway stop. That station will be a sea of humanity!
The Sea Palace has comfy recliner chairs where you can sleep, charge your phone and watch your individual TV, decent food and includes a massage with happy ending. All inclusive at 368 cny plus a tip for the locker boys who are the only staff not paid but rely solely on tips. IMHO a far better way to spend 11 hours compared to sitting at the airport. The staff don't speak English although the cute petite masseuse #16 did a little. When you are ready, just go up to the hostess desk in the rest area and tell them you want your massage.
I'd suggest leaving well before midnight to head back to the airport as the subway closes around that time.

Have you been to this Club and if the answer is "No" then its really a reply of jerks to make a comment without visiting. First and fore most there is no VIP room. Secondly it has lots and lots of stunners and finally I would advice you to make a visit and then comment.
Thanks
Your English comprehension skills are somewhat lacking. Even a 5 year old would be able to read my post and understand that I have not been to the club. My writing was quite specific!
Actually, a number of Chinese friends have told me that there are VIP / hotel rooms upstairs for the rich. Well, perhaps the club has been remodelled, or maybe just that you did not qualify.
I do have some more information regarding the club (from a long term Guangzhou resident), but according to your logic, I would be a jerk to provide this information. So I won't! And I could not give a fuck!
And I don't know whether or not you picked up the vibe that obnoxious, loud disco clubs are not my scene! So I am certainly not going to visit!

P.S. In case you did not know, GZ was cleansed years before the Bun Emperor's latest CNY 3 vices yanda, so there has been little to attract mongers to GZ (from the surrounding PRD cities). The fact that such an obvious hangout for WGs has endured in GZ is due to the fact that the owner was not a member of The Toad's political faction.
