I believe Ortos is just making his point clear that there is NO ATM at Oase and that there is a charge of 10% commission when using your credit card in the club. Thus no Oase regulars are making use of that option.
The ATM at Taunus Sparkasse at Ober Erlenbach is your best friend when visiting Oase (around 2 km away). There are also ATMs in BHH, Friedrichsdorf and Bad Homburg.

I assume they do it with their credit card terminal on which you can also pay your entry fee in case you don't want to pay cash, right? In that case they must be compensate for the fuzz coming with it. Not a rip-off, either unless they have a real ATM from the bank there, which they don't in my opinion.
If it is a purchase and not a withdrawal, other costs apply.

I had the misfortune once to realise only after arriving that I had hidden my cash in another trousers that I had left in the hotel. So I asked to use my credit card for the entrance fee and for 200 euros.
I asked to put the charges together as I wanted to minimise the appearance of such transactions in my credit card bill.The receptionist insisted that there be 2 separate transactions although the transactions were done on the same terminal. Couldn't understand why, but the receptionist said that 'it was the rule'.

I see their long-standing policy of 10% commission as exorbitant and non-customer-friendly. That is my only point.
I would add: I have never personally used the service of getting cash at the reception desk, but I've seen the look of shock on the faces of those poor sods that have been forced by circumstance to use their credit cards for cash. Those looks alone speak volumes to me.

That is my only point.[/QUOTE]The ATM at World is a regular Volksbank ATM with the usual charges (or no charges). Mainhattan has an ATM, the charges were around 5 EUR. Palace had their "own" ATM, filled and managed by Palace, charges were quite high. They switched to another ATM, not managed by the club, I don't know what the charges are. So my advice:
Oase: Use the ATM from Volksbank or Sparkasse in Ober-Erlenbach.
Palace: There is an ATM close to Commerzbank, use that one.
Mainhattan: No idea where the next ATM is, but charges are not too high so in an emergency, use the ATM there.
World: Use the ATM at the club.
In General: Just pack more cash than you think you need, just in case, there might be a girl or two you want, so don't run out of cash.

A cash withdrawal so to speak is a different purchase (or none for that matter) and therefore needs to be accounted for in an entirely different way. I am the first to call BS if I see or smell it but this is super standard procedure and TBH 10% is not steep for it.

It may just not be good business.
Some may recall it took a long time before Oase has gambling machines on site whereas clubs like Palace, World, Mainhattan and Sharks had the gambling machines available for a long prior.
