What is the better exchange currently? Somebody mentioned the citibank ATMs have the highest limit per day? Any point in bringing some cash or ATMs good enough?

I always bring a small amount of cash for the US taxi and a cart or something to eat and drink at the airport but the rest will be all credit cards and ATM.. Citibank will give you the highest daily withdrawal limit but it comes at a hefty price. 2-3% PLUS a foreign transaction fee. Unless you have a citigold account. Try looking into a "no fee" card.

I've done some browsing and searching on the forum, and haven't come up with a lot about threesomes in Colombia. Compared with places I've visited that have dedicated clubs (Bangkok's Eden), clubs with pairs of girls roaming the floor offering them (Germanic country FKK's), massage parlors with "four hand" options explicitly on offer (Manila, Budapest, Bucharest), or escort services (sites I've seen in various places but never tried), there doesn't seem to be a lot of threesome much less group action on offer. Is this a cultural thing?
Any ideas about the places that would be most likely to have this - ie., would massage parlors be more open to these than casas or stripclubs? And how would you bring this up in Spanish? My Spanish is lacking though I've faked my way in various countries, but is there a particular phrase to use? Any ideas or experiences with particular places or costs (any locations, I'm sill working out my route) would be highly appreciated!

A threesome is just a "trio" and should not be hard to find in almost any place... especially in the clubs I think would be your best bet as there are just more girls concentrated there in one place... may be hard to get your ideal combination in a casa or massage place where there are only 4 or 5 girls working....

I never got 2 at the same time but last time I was in Santa Fe one girl offered to send her friend in after we had finished and before I had gotten dressed. I didn't even know how she looked but I said yes. Hell you gotta figured I had already paid 10K for the room, 20K for the first chica, what was another 20K. So 2 back to back chicas and a room for 50K couldn't be beat...especially at 6am.

Haven't been yet, but it won't be long. I don't see any reports about getting them off the beach. You guys see them hanging out in the sun like in Brazil? Nothing hotter than brown skin in a bikini.

I have never been in Colombia or written anything in the Colombia forum. I spend my mongering time in East Europe. Anyway, I will possibly in connection with business be several times in Colombia after new year.

There are 4 cities that opbviously are good for fun: Bogota, Cali, Cartagena and Medellin. It would be interesting if some of the Colombia specialist will evaluate the cities regarding both P4P as well as semipros and freebies? I was thinking to spend some days in Cartagena, the combination of Caribbean coast and lots of girls is a winner:)! However, I may also travel more a round.

To get some impression of Colombian women I looked into Colombia Cupid. Are there any pros or semipros hidden there ?

After looking at the girls there, I notice 3 things:

1. Many girls/woman are rather fat: "too much junk in the trunk"! Is that what you also see when walking the streets? My impression has always been that Colombian women are VERY beautiful - and many are on the dating site too. But when you see photos in full size or look at height and weight, many even very young ones are quite big!

2. I see a surprising number of very good-looking women between 30 and 40, obviously they stay in great shape? is this real or is it good photoshopping?

3. There are a lot of single mothers.

Anybody wants to comment?

For what its worth I will take a stab at some of your comments/observations. Know that I base this on my 3 weeks in January of this year AND the whole month of May this year also.

My observations are primarily from the Bogota area where I spent most of my time then did some adventure type stuff way out in the country.

#1 fat/junk in the trunk - I too am a spinner kinda guy so yes you do need to look a bit haarder for the thin spinner type as the Colombian womans body style and the image that is totally acceptable and, some would argue, admired by Colombian men is a very very curvey body. I must say that after spending a month straight this does grow on you as I am starting to see the real beauty of a curvey woman.

#2 30 to 40 year olds - they are in good shape, not all 30-40's but many are, this IS NOT photoshopping as the woman that you see on Colombian Cupid are real - I know as I have meet some of them, matter-of-fact they are usually better looking IMHO than the poor quality photos that they post on the dating sites.

#3 single mothers - BIG cultural problem that the girls have babies at usually 14 to 17 yo, you see being a catholic majority country abortions are a no-no (unlike Eastern Europe and Russia where abortion is THE birth control system they use). The sperm donner father SOB is seldom around after as they just want to fuck-em and move on. This is the acceptable norm/culture as the boys are coddled by their mothers, on and on and so the cycle just keeps repeating itself. Big problem with no end in sight for generations to come.

With all this being said I am planning on a trip in January 2011 to Baranquilla and Cartagena as I am already getting them on-board for my arrival :-)

I dunno about personal tastes but compared to anywhere in the US women are still a helluva lot more on the skinny side. They are on the average a good 3-4" shorter though... Colombia is not a place for anybody who strongly prefers tall women...

The abortion thing, abortions are extremely common here, this isn't a Catholic country any more than Quebec or Italy or Portugal or Spain still are Catholic... girls all over the world have kids in their teens... Colombia actually has a LOWER birth rate than the USA does....

Keep in mind that on those dating sites, most of the time you are looking at the LOW-HANGING FRUIT... at least by local standards... anybody over 25 is (IMO wrongly) considered damaged goods, anybody with a less than stunning body, anybody with a kid or two in tow, all those women are going to have extreme difficulty landing a decent catch here in Colombia... so that's what you're going to see on the site...

Before I always liked dark women but Medellin changed that for me. Cali has alot of darker women, and a good mixture. Also Cali has a different vibe than Medellin. Never been to Cartegena but I hear there and Baranquilla have darker ladies. Thats what I love about Colombia, the transition with styles. It has so much to be discovered, but for now I'm hooked on Medellin. I'm the type of guy that buys a CD for one song and keeps playing repeat on that song. Then one day you take a long ride and hear the rest of the CD and like that, and forget about the first song. Get it?

I am purchasing a ticket from LAX to BOG but I notice there is a layover in Caracas for like 7-8 hours. Is this a wise idea, or should I just pay a little more and fly more direct? I speak Spanish fluently, no problems there. I would have time to catch a taxi somewhere hit a few casas and head back to the airport and catch my flight.

Any advice, greatly appreciated.
