Long time lurker, and here's my first report. It's such a gloomy day in Copacabana, raining & the beach is empty. After finish a tour, I visit termas Monte Carlo this evening. It's on the more expensive side, but tourist friendly. The receptionist, and the door guys, speak good English. While it has the same setting at FKK, this place is tiny. I came a bit early, and there are only 8 girls. Girls quality is about 6 - 7. That would be a 5 if you compare it to FKK. However, their service & willingness are better compare to FKK girls. I did a 40 minutes section. Total come out about 550 BRL, including drinks.

Tip: best time to go is around 8:00 pm, where a lot of girls are there.

Could be a sign of desperate times, but the place is legendary and a "must-see" terma in Rio. For this reason, I could never in good faith advise somebody not to go there and spend money, or to go light on the termas in general in favor of the prives. The termas have hotter tutes on average per my personal tastes. And I [B]shall[/B] return! Including to Quatro por Quatro. And I will session and buy drinks too (Skol and Amarula). I recommend others who have not been to do so as well. Go and decide for yourself what works best for you. Each man must determine that for himself. Don't make a decision around this based on what another man says (including me). This is personal! But I say try it! Because you're probably going to like it! You can potentially be ripped off [b]anywhere[/b]. But anybody in the know will acknowledge that Quatro por Quatro doesn't have a rep for ripping patrons off. On my last trip to 4 x4, the tab included one drink that I did not order. Only reason I caught it is because it wasn't what I was drinking or ordering for the girls. I was drinking beer and the girls were drinking gin tropical. I think this was a margarita or pina colada. Talked to the receptionist up front and it was taken care of ASAP. The bartender even came to me and apologized for accidental charging my tab when it was meant for another person. I don't see it as someone tried to rip me off. I see it as a honest mistake someone makes while the working and they get busy. No biggie.

The overcharge occurred on the only time I ordered drinks, so my sample size is small. It's not so much the money, obviously, but establishing respect. I've seen guys go into 4 x 4 the last few weeks who fall asleep on the couch drunk, or do a 1.5 hour dupla and throw it on their card, and then come raging out after some bad experience. While you're in Centro checking out 4 x4, try 65 on Rua Rosario, or the wiskeira around the corner on 64 Rua do Carmo (forgot whether its Cancun, Tropical or whatever its called now).

As long as we are discussing acknowledgements, it would be helpful to know when the last time a contributor was in in Rio and when he will come again. If a contributor is posting daily or hourly but hasn't been in Rio for 2+ years, and isn't planning on coming for any specific date, then the reader would be well advised to have that information too.

As for the termas, the reality is that the girls prefer to become freelancers so they can choose who to fuck as soon as possible.

The prives have girls who are as good as the termas. For morenas, I can think of at least 3 morenas who are as good as termas just off the top of my head in the last few weeks.

It is variations on the same theme, but the three posts were in different context.

Getting overcharged $63 reais is a symptom of a bigger problem, getting overcharged for bad sex at 4 x 4.

I've been out with some wingmen who shall remain anonymous who get overcharged because they don't follow the advice I've given. The worst case is a ISG member who paid like $1500 reais for a dupla with two girls in the sultao suite, and then, while I am walking through 4 x 4, the door swings open, I see my battle buddy, who practically has steam coming out of his prematurely bald head, and he is like, "we are leaving, now." So I get dressed and leave with my friend. It turns out that he repeated with girl A, a very white thin girl, and girl be, a morena. Halfway through a 1.5 hour dupla in the luxury suite, Girl A goes into a coma, and the steam from the hot tub and the lack of air conditioning or something causes our hero to have wood problems. So now I am out on the streets of Rio with a wingman who insists on wearing Nascar shirts, complaining about a bad experience in repeating with Girl A who he had fucked the night before. My analysis is this: he could have gotten Girl A back to his apartment very easily. He did her the night before in 4 x 4. He has her number. Why repeat? It is some kind of tunnel vision. Once you get into 4 x 4 and a girl grabs your dick, rational thought leaves your brain. I understand. I feel the same emotions. So now this ISG member complains the whole uber ride back to Barra that Girl A cheated him out of a over and hour of sex, and the whole time I am thinking, and saying, I told you to get the girl out of the terma, so don't blame me. You have the girls number, you got the girl over to your apartment, and you don't even have the game to say, skip work, come over I will make it worth your while; at my apartment you get 100% of the money, at 4 x 4 you get 50%.

So, yes, my point bears repeating, and explaining in various cases.

One of the smartest, if not the smartest, of our fellow contributors, Bravo, said it again, and I highlighted it on the reports of distinction: the locals get the girls numbers and get the girls out of the termas.

The $63 reais overcharge is just the tip of the iceberg, a unjust parking ticket that stands for an entire body of unjust enrichment cases in which the dumb gringo short time monger is the victim of being ripped off for bad sex in the termas, which in many cases, he is ashamed of so he never vents and discusses the session.
