Credenza is the best you've had in Medellin? It's convenient and you get to see some nice looking language school students on the way in and out but I rate it slightly above average overall for Medellin.
Well all my experience is with Centro eateries, and most my Centro chicks are fine with a diner for $3 to $5 like BrasaPan.
I have done Hacienda which I like.
https://www.restaurantehacienda.com/
Botaniko Bistro Cafe which I like.
https://www.facebook.com/botanikobistrocafe
Restaurant Hatoviejo which I like.
http://hatoviejo.com/en/locations/centro/
Versalles which I like.
http://versallesmedellin.com/
But none of those had the ambiance or food presentation that Credenza had.
Lunch menu may be different and certainly more romantic at night on the balcony, also price Vs quality I thought was outstanding, without the Sangria dinner for 2 would have been around $30, and that was appetizers, salads, main course and cheesecake for her, and while my fettuccine was just good, what ever Estrella has was god dam fantastic and I have eaten in 38 countries.
I am going to ask her what it was and go back there for it on my next trip.
Also when I went to Poblado with my boys, they stopped in a sidewalk cafe for lunch, about 2 blocks from Lleras, and the menu was 80 k to 130 k per plate, I ran from there!
Our food and Estrella's plate of maybe clams.
Useful to feel safe, even patrolling proudly the streets of El Centro at night
I never walk more then a block and a half at night in Centro, that's why I stay where I do, I avoid the red light blocks after 5 and make buddies with all the bouncers at the 3 strip clubs I hit. Any further and I am in a cab.
75 k a night for a double, OK with multi guests. And by "double," the hotel means double-sized bed, one that just smaller than a queen sized bed? Or do they mean double occupancy?

It's double occupancy. The hotel is called Botero Medellin. It used to be called Botero Plaza and some of the signage and Internet directory listings still use the old name. It is across the street from Yakuza on carrera 50 A, behind the Nutibara and a couple of doors from the airport bus stop. It has been reported heavily on this forum.
For those who may not know, it is in Centro. Centro is a marginal neighborhood frequented by addicts, sex workers, and petty criminals. I've never been to a city the size of Medellin that did not have a similar neighborhood. If you are American, think Skid Row, downtown LOS Angeles, San Francisco's Tenderloin or Hunter's Point, South Side Chicago, New York's Hunts Point Market, East London UK, or Les Halles in Paris. You can get in trouble there if you are not aware of your surroundings or if you call attention to yourself with yahoo behaviour (loud fratboy antics, being drunk and stoned in public while dressed in short pants where no one else is). I think that about covers it.

There are many other hotels at similar rates in the area. Any of them will be happy to show you rooms before you decide to check in.
Being spat on by the chica and then beaten up and robbed by the pimp.
You know, there are some guys that would....pay a little extra for that.

I think this is excellent advice. I hope people follow it so we don't have to read depressing stories about guys being victimized.
Useful to feel safe, even patrolling proudly the streets of El Centro at night, until someone points a real GUN to your face. This is not something unlikely in Medellin. IMHO, the best way to stay safe is keeping the lowest profile as possible and to not raise unwanted attention.
PS: I never like the girls you post here. To be frank, they are on the other side of the world of my tastes, but you made me fall in love with Estrella and her sweet face. She must be a nice sweet one. Congrats. Enjoy.
Hotel Botero.
What is this hotel called? And by "double," the hotel means double-sized bed, one that just smaller than a queen sized bed? Or do they mean double occupancy?
OK, one more time, a primer on Hotel Botero:
It's the "Hotel Botero Medellin".
Carrera 50 A #53-45.
hotelboteromedellin@hotmail.com
I have no idea if they answer emails.
Main amenities.
84 guest rooms - 24 hour front desk. Daily housekeeping. Roof top bar, sauna & steam room. Free WiFi.
What's around in La Candelaria (aka El Centro).
Palacio de la Cultura - 3 min walk.
Botero Square Sculpture Park - 3 min walk.
Park of Lights - 14 min walk.
Atanasio Giradot Stadium - 44 min walk.
Mercado de San Alejo - 3 min walk.
Antioquia Museum - 4 min walk.
Bolivar's Park - 4 min walk.
Berrio Park - 5 min walk.
Medellin Cathedral - 6 min walk.
La Candelaria Church - 6 min walk.
It's just behind the Hotel Nutribara across from the main square, Plaza Botero in El Centro Medellin, kind of a rough neighborhood at night but very busy and active in the day. It is in the same block where the airport buses start and end the Centro route, so $3 ride from airport to 100 feet from hotel. The double refers to renting a room for two people so they don't mind you taking chicas up to your room. It is a 15 story hotel with a bar on the roof with great views (open from noon to 9 p), $26 a night for a double, they will bring you a mini fridge and fan if you ask, has 43" flat screen, hot water and walkin shower, Yakusa brothel right across the street and 4 Strip Club / brothels with in a block a and a half and 2 blocks to 2 redlight blocks where the chicas start at $10.
I don't really recommend El Centro to Latin big city newbies who don't speak any Spanish.
My advise if you do stay there I have given out before is:
I take my laptop every time, each floor has wifi, if it goes down just go out in the hall by the elevator and the wifi box is up on the wall, just unplug and replug it, worked after that.
Just book for 2 and ask for a queen when you check in, I get the 2 doubles as it gives me a place to unpack. Yes you will have to pay a chica fee if you rent a single. When you check in ask for a room 10th floor or higher for the view, ask for the backside of the hotel opposite the lobby entrance as they are cooler in the AM and better view. Tell them you need a mini fridge and also tip them to bring you a fan. There is a rooftop bar which opens at noon with a sauna and steam room.
When you get to the airport as you step outside you will see these mini-buses, they are 9,500 p ($3 or so), it's a hour ride to the city depending on traffic. Ask for the "auto-pista to Centro" route bus that ends behind the hotel Nutibara. The buses say "Combuses SA" on the side. Their last stop is 100 ft from the hotel Botero, just past it same side street. When out if cabbies don't know where the Botero is tell them behind the Hotel Nutribara where the airport buses are.
The closest brothel is "Yakusa", right across the street, a hair right behind a mirrored door and open early stays open very late, like 4 am on weekends, should be 45 k to take the girl to your room for 1/2 HR, the rooms they have suck.
With street girls remember to ask to see their ID "cedula" and make sure they are 18+ to keep out of a Colombian prison.
Closest safe ATM, go out hotel, right, end street, cross and head left a little, stairs up to restaurant "La Raza" in the back of hotel Nutribara, go thru into hotel, go right, then right, 2 ATM's, the Banco Colombia one has a better rate but a $200 (600 K) limit.
Closest 24 HR good / cheap food, go out hotel right to corner, go right to corner, called BrasaPan.
Closest grocery store go out right to corner, go right, go left next street (under the Metro) on left down stairs to store, called "Tiendas D1".
1st two Strip club / brothels, go out lobby, right. Then left, 2 blocks on left are Maracaibo and Barra Ejectiva, right next door to each other, girls around 80 k on site, 50 k exit fee to take girl to your hotel after making deal with girl, Barra Ejectiva is the busier bar with more girls, but worth peeking in Maracaibo.
Other OK club, go out lobby, right, then right, next left, then cross over right under metro line, stay on right side street down to corner, called Conejitas (means "Little Bunnies" but they mean "Playmates") also 80 k or so on site, none of the clubs have a cover so I usually go in and out from 5 p till 2 a or so to check the talent, which comes and goes. You will pass another club with stairs leading down to it same block, Grill Nueva Aveneda but it is small and very hot. In Conejitas if it is hot try to get the tables along back wall, some of them are under A / C vents.
Since I have been promoting it there are usually a few gringos staying there you can hit the clubs with, we had 5 or 6 of us there last week.
I book it thru Hotels.com which was cheaper then my buds who used Booking.com.
Here's my map of the adult fun in the area of the hotel, ignore the redlight block around Parque Bolivar as they are mostly not females.
For those who may not know, it is in Centro. Centro is a marginal neighborhood frequented by addicts, sex workers, and petty criminals..
Do be fair there are parts that are quite safe in the day like Paseo Junin, Parque Bolivar (which has a police substation) and the busy commercial streets around Edificio Coltejer and the Union Mall / Centro Comercial El Uniķand and Botero Plaza etc.
There are also some scary industrial neighborhoods it is best to stay away from, I advise spending some time on Google Street view figuring out which is which.
There are many other hotels at similar rates in the area. Any of them will be happy to show you rooms before you decide to check in.
But only one is 50 ft from the airport bus, a gringo hauling luggage around Centro screams "Papaya" (fruit to be plucked in the local slang).
I bought my girlie from Conejitas a big suitcase to go work in the Islands last year and the most nervous I have been in MED was wheeling that back to my hotel, especially when she stopped to get some fruit and a drink from a vendor and left me standing there with the big suitcase on Maracaibo corner. "Gringo papaya! It screamed.
Hi guy,
I been told there is a Casas that only has students in it (over 18), students work to help pay fees etc.
Anyone know what place is classed?
Mike.
I've been told a woman was a virgin by her daughter and both her sons. I've been told "I'm a student", but then she has no idea what she's studying. I've been told "I work at _ by a girl who doesn't know where the place she works at is located.
I wouldn't put much faith in what people tell you. There might be a place that makes that claim, but the reality will be same as any other casa.
If you are a retired Green Beret from 7th Special Forces Group, Centro is OK for you.
If you are a fat paper pusher who lives in a gated suburban community who speaks no Spanish and wears a Rolex, cargo shorts and sandals and your last trip was a Carnival Cruise and couldn't fight your way out of a paper bag it is not for you.
Can you run fast or talk your way out or fight your way out? If not Centro may not be for you.
That being said most the low-lifes in Centro don't look like they could afford a gun, if I had a gun and wanted rob Gringos I would go to Poblado, so don't feel so safe there either, more Gringos get robbed there because more Gringos are there..
I have none of the above. I try to spend a few hours every week walking El Centro, got in an hour or so today. I usually get off at San Antonio station, walk to Veracruz church, cut down the alley, head north on one side of the street, continue down and hit the Raudel block. Walk one side to the end of the block (even though the girls end after 1/3 a block. Head east a block, cruise back south down the street with all the bars, go back to walk the other side of Raudel, back east a block, walk the other side of the bars, go east to the farmer's market alley, cruise past the bars there. When I get to the end, I'll go east another block and walk past Grill Occidental, which brings me back to Botero Plaza. Head west, walk the other side of the Veracruz block, head back up the alley next to Iglesia Veracruz where I decide if I want to take another lap.
Unless I'm taking someone to a casa, which I did today, I don't spend much time on the other side of the metro line. I've walked all the above as late as 9:30 pm. The only time I've been nervous was when I saw 2 guys jump a third guy in the Veracruz alley.
It's not for everyone, but I like it just fine.
You might want to try Delicias Natural next time you're back. If you come out the door at New Life, turn right (Botanika is to the left), go to the the corner, turn right, it's half a block on the right. Excellent food and cheap. Owner speaks good English.

You can also hit up Jennifer Zapata. She knows some model types and can set you up with a nice apartment as well.

If all you are looking for is sex with very high end chicks the mansion isn't really the place to go.
The girls at the mansion are mostly 7's with a few 8's in the bunch. But they are friendly. Will party with you all night and go out with you on the town if you like and are very GFE on average.
Here is the profile of a mansion chick that is fairly popular right now. She is good in bed and will hang all day or all night for about a third of the price you will pay for Vane or Jennifer Zapata's friends.
https://www.facebook.com/jeni.pc
I appreciate it. I guess I will reach out to Vane. I have some facebook girls bookmarked and will go that route too. Booked a flight to Medellin today. I haven't picked an apartment yet, but it will be in Poblado.
