I began to see the snake part of Dave's nature when he'd quickly pass along ANY bad news about Sosua on his FB page but NEVER acknowledge that it was second or third hand. It was written like he'd just got back from Sosua but in fact he was kicked out many, many months ago and hadn't been back.

Any of his fans could have thought it was fresh, direct intel and said, "Gee, I guess Sosua is dead now; I won't make that trip after all".

Just returned from Cuba Hopefully I write a report on that in the Cuba session. I supposed to meet my boys in Fort Lauderdal one day in Boca Chic and the rest on the north coast Sosua bound. I just talked to the driver and they were runnin late. One of the guys was not in place. I hope this is not a prelude of things to come. It's supposed to be 6 of us no first timers. These next these next 5 days are going to be interesting.

Dave was a very harmless mild mannered person. He treated the girls he dealt with respect. I have never seen any lewd or erotic pictures from him. He is a 65 year old white guy having fun sleeping with third world girls. I never had anything against him. I am surprised at the venom some have here. His reports were helpful to the real newbies. I never saw anything hurtful from him. I wish him well. He thought he was sharing good information. He was far from an expert but he gave what he thought was good G2.

People don't understand that guys like him that have been in this game a long time are a little outdated but they still are a great source for info on the past. He has done things most of us will never do so I enjoy his tales. Let him live his fantasy and get out of it what you will, but to be kicking him under the bus when he gets arrested is not cool at all.

You know nothing about Strecker's Web sites, Facebook page, books, and other commercial activities, or his behind the scenes business partner whose strategy includes using Facebook acceptable language and images to promote the product, or his exchanges of good reviews for free sex.

I have never met CD, and, as you say, he may be very charming in person, but that is not what the discussion is about.

He had nothing but contempt for the chicas, and Sosua in general. He apparently never met a local who he could trust, which is a shame if you spend any time down there at all. He spent all his time complaining about the politics of the game, instead of relaxing and playing the game.

He was just trying to hustle a buck or a deal out of every situation.

He was a hustler, not a monger.

(*note "Sosua Syndrome" is where a person hates the place but lives his life vicariously through it).

What are they going to tell there wife or girlfriend, when everybody knows DR is a sex tourism haven?. Its a catch 22. The Internet has helped me out a lot, I would not have found out about Brazil, DR, Columbia, or Asia without the internet or people like Cuba Dave. The Bad thing is that when to many people find out, Its never good. Which is the reason why DR is in a state that it is now. Chicas are hardly GFE anymore, most just want to fuck and make as much in 1 night as possible.

I've spent a lot of time in the DR over the last 2 years and there are a lot worse people in Sosua than Cuba Dave, both locals and gringos.

As I mentioned, I spoke with him a few times, and he was a very pleasant guy. And like you say, he was pretty harmless, always was very nice to the girls and others around him.

My point was he was more clueless than a guy on his first mongering trip. How could someone who has taken hundreds of trips to the DR, Cuba, and Costa Rica not speak Spanish? FWIW, I don't expect someone who makes a trip or two a year to learn Spanish, but this guy who many looked up to as an expert?

Even more, how could someone with hundreds of trips not try out places further afield? The guy had never ventured beyond the absolute easiest mongering venues. I asked him if he had ever visited Brasil. He looked at my like he'd never heard of the place. I'm not sure he could have even placed it on a map.

I only know him from his online presence, but he seems like a generally decent guy. I hope he gets out of his troubles down there with minimum damage, as I would hope the same for any one of us.
