Live from Sosua
It's early but Rumbas is already half packed. Personally I can't stand that place with those hardcore tricks. I was just walking through and saw some friends from the states and they already had a party going at their table with 3 dudes and 5 women. Just stayed a few minutes and split. Merengue was empty and winners circle was empty. Damn! Back to Rumbas but after that went to city lights (big mommas place), she was there and started giving me drinks. I don't usually drink till after 10 pm but fuck it. Just ran into my uncles and they buying drinks, fuck it I'm just hanging in Sosua letting things come to me. More later just an intro.

I'm sitting at Romanitas bar in front of Europa and I notice more girls doing "in call " service where they don't leave the room. I'm now looking at a chocolate sister with bedroom eyes and a banging body who I initially saw earlier on my introduction walk around. She just walked by me to sit in Europa for five minutes and he came down. Damn! Now mongers don't want to leave the room to pull. Classicos is still the premier spot but I just chilled. Trying to find me an off brand average looking Chica who appreciates my deniro. Saw a few regulars but now they are begging for 100 pesos when you tell them " mas tarde", a complete turn off. A few girls on the corner but they have to come at me a certain way to draw my interest. The highlight of the evening was a Chica offered to ride me around Sosua on her moped and pulled over in the area of the casino and gave me a blowjob for 200 p gas money.
That's Sosua for you average days and better days to follow.

They expire fast
We have created the environment. No matter how hard they try to please we kick them to the curb and look for the next chica. We are sport fucking and the girls are our prey. That is why Sosua loses its luster for long time mongers. Sosua fills the niche for the casual mongers very well. However if you are looking far a GFE experience you have to do some work. The girls get frustrated trying to attract enough guys to support their life styles.

Info
I stopped by Eric tours as you walk down the hill to the beach to discuss recent developments. He said Carnival cruise line has had about 20 meetings with local business owners to get input and exchange ideas. No sales talk was discussed but carnival has initially reached out.
Talked to another guy who said the girl trade won't come into play because the groups would be structured and not around in the late evening.
Also talked to Russell Brown who is the owner of two adjacent bars on the beach. El Torro negro 107-108 and he is finishing up construction. Russell is a retired military vet who is from St Pete Florida and is looking forward to sharing his paradise with us.

Hooked up with WRX2005 and traded info, cool guy very down to earth guy willing to share valuable info. Grownman and his crew came through and we posted up across from Rumbas with premier seating for the show. At 11;15 the crowd shifter west toward Classicos and we followed.
Now here's the clicker, my ex works the window at Classicos and she doesn't know I'm there. She rolls her eyes as I pay 400 p for me and my boy with a 1000 note. I forget my change as I want to move past this tense situation. On Fridays and probably Saturday also Classicos has now placed all seating at an 1000 p premium. You can stand at the bar or in the walk ways but it's a 1000 p to have a seat.
It's ironic because the previous night I saw my friend who does security at Classicos standing outside saying he was hungry but I just played him off. I then slid him 200 p in Classicos that night. Well this night with the table premium shit my friend got me a table for nothing. Good karma coming back. An hour later we were asked to move as two girls paid the 1000 p premium for our table. Fuck this I'm out.
Now I'm trolling putter bars for shit, but that's cool.

Final analysis
Most of the SW and girls on the strip at night are quick in and out fucks and all business. If your looking to spend quality time with a Chica its best to troll the outer bars or get a girl from the beach, these girls despise the strip at night. They aren't clock watchers and tend to appreciate the money and time spent more. After 3 nights on the strip I'm probably going to invite my friend who works on the beach for a date and have her spend the night. Friday and Saturday Sosua nights changes for the worse. It's a show but has no essence, it's a free fall. Earlier in the week has more meaning for me because it's more relaxed and real.
If you visit Sosua often like I do, you can actually witness good girls becoming jaded and it's a sad sight. Turnover is high. Girls are working in teams like a weekend work crew, with the SD girls dominating and a few Santiago girls working Friday and Saturday, the local girls have been pushed out unless they are connected with the SD crews. I see very few independent girls working the strip, you may think they are independent but they are affiliated with some SD crew to survive at night in the New Sosua. The local girls are working during the days while the SD girls are resting for the night. The local girls work the beach, massage parlor, restaurants and might even walk the street but at night time it's back to Montellano, Puerto Plata or La Union to hangout or party and get out of the SD girls office. Sinatras is the most talked about new spot with its 2-4-1 dinner specials and live music.
Sosua has become a hustle and everyone has their hand out. It's some pretty girls on the stroll but it might be best to select the average looking girl if you want some quality time and a more meaningful experience. Now it's on to Santiago.

I don't think anyone at this point knows what will happen to Sosua. I do know part of the charm for me was that I didn't see middle class American woman and families there. Seeing hookers are big issue for your typical conservative American middle class married woman. If they see just one girl walking around or a 21 year old girl holding hands with a 70 year man that's all they are going to talk about and they will go home and write a review saying the place is infested with hookers.
But the girls are only part of the problem and probably the easiest thing to fix. Americans in general take no risk on vacations. After talking to some investors over the years I think it's something Dominicans and Europeans don't fully understand but Carnival does I am sure. The lack of good accessible bathrooms, terrible sidewalks, having to play frogger to cross the street, the scams, the moto a-holes, drugs, traffic, empty rundown buildings, and noise are much harder to fix. For example how long did the moto vests last or one way enforcement. I just can't see American ship cruisers walking around Sosua as it is now, there are currently so many ways to find yourself in trouble. But if people start selling to Carnival well....my guess is there are some big plans, there a lot of ships scheduled per month coming up.

Now that Brazil Currency is almost 4 to 1, you will hardly ever catch me in Sosua like that. I Rather spend my hard earn money on some Brazilian Women, There in Killer Shape and they give the best GFE. Not your typical Sosua rat that just want you to leche as quickly as possible and hop onto the next trick. Brazilian women like there Jobs and Take Pride in pleasing there clients. Sosua is to close to America.

You have mentioned one word which I consider critical, yet I have not previously seen it in the hundreds of posts about the Carnival scheme which I have read on the wh_oreboards, DR1, travel forums, etc, - "bathrooms".
Strange American euphemism as 99% of the time one does not seek them to have a bath. We English call them "lavatories" (originally also a euphemism as it meant somewhere to wash). Somewhere to p_iss or shit.
Middle-class people from First World countries are mostly horrified to use dirty, ill-equipped, and insanitary-looking lavatories. Our family's first overseas holiday after WWII was to Brittany. My father's experience in a public toilet there cast a shadow over his holiday. He swore he would never go back to France and he never did. He was still advising friends to avoid France because of the public lavatories thirty years later.
Dominicans won't get this. I have been in smart upper-middle class restaurants in the DR with big new SUVs filling the car-park but the crapper blocked and the floors running with p_iss. For Dominicans, that is normal, so it would not occur to them to improve things.
I may have missed it, but I have seen no initiatives to build modern, hygienic and well-staffed toilets in Pto Pta or Sosua.

It occurs to me that if "public" toilets were built, they would probably have to be guarded, to prevent theft (toilet paper, etc) and keep them from being trashed.
Sir Charles,

Along the Malecon in Pto Pta for example. Some are quite decent. Each would need two attendants, one for each sex, to check and clean-up every time a Dominican used one. Finding people to do that miserable job for a few hundred pesos a week plus tips would not be difficult. There would be a queue.
But there are not enough and not in the right places where tourists want to go. I cannot recall a "public" toilet in Sosua, apart from those on the beach, and they are barely acceptable.

Public toilets reflect the population at large, so NA standard facilities would be a anomaly there.
Maybe commercialize them PFP (pay for [CodeWord134]) but I'm sure they'd fill up with touts handing you toilet paper and demanding payment.
If you go to Sosua, don't expect the comforts of home, because you are not paying for the comforts of home.
In the old days more daring hotel guests in Mexico would be offered a "night life" tour that included at least one club/brothel stop. Maybe that's the only kind of tour Sosua would get from cruise ships. Included in the price would be condoms, rubber boots and a ticket for 2 free drinks.
