I too was a bit naive and believed a girl on ABC loved me a few years back. I had a trip set up to meet her. I then tried logging on with a different name and with a different ip address (they see those you know) and she used the same lines on my "new" personality as well. I think she even liked the "new guy" better than my original self.

Anyway, I went ahead with my trip, but I didnt see her. I'm so glad I didn't get locked down with just one girl. You will feel like a rock star over there. Just treat them nice.

oh, BTW, on a subsequent trip I txt her I was there and we met. In person all she had were sad stories and wanted money from me. I prolly could have done her, but was not interested.

just go, have fun and you may not want to go home! (Those cam girls are a money drain) avoid them unless you really don't mind spending the money without "real" return. I do understand why guys do it, but they should just take the plunge and go in person.

Yes, I noticed the same thing about girls hedging their bets (as GE mentions below). And we should be doing the same thing! I've got so many phone numbers and email addresses that it's a logistical nightmare just trying to keep things organized. I don't blame them for doing the same thing. Before going to a location I make a message and then send it to my prime prospects - sometimes as many as 15 people. (*** see note below)

I always add my name and additional info so that they might somehow remember me. What irritates me is that some of them reply something like "hu u" and of course don't add their own name. If you ask them the same question they act insulted. "you txted me, why you ask" The problem is matching the replies with my list of names. On my last visit that included AC, MLA, Cebu and Davao, so sometimes I get a text and I have no idea who or where it's coming from.

Another problem I had. I text a girl. She texts back and says, "why you text me....you called me yesterday". Now I assume I called and talked to her so now I'm racking my brain to remember which one it was. Later it turns out I called and there was no response. So again, I don't know who it is.

I use Globe - what does it mean when you call and get only beeps? Is the phone just turned off?
Other times I call and get a message "...unattended or out of service".

*** I was a subscriber to Cherry Bl until March. So, in the course of four months I found that some of the phone numbers no longer worked. In a couple cases I then got online and sent an email, but the reply often arrived too late since I don't go online that often when I'm traveling. I missed a few very good prospects because of that, including one that said, "I have a car and could have taken you around..." Next time I will try to email /chat with prospects in advance to confirm phone numbers.

Doesn't even sound like a Filipina type of response. Well I told her I wasn't accusing her, that I knew they were fake. Of course no more messages from her.
She will ask for money or break some other rule soon enough and be kicked off the site.

To make sure you do not have a problem with fake girls or girls trying to fool you I suggest you tell them you have been to the Philippines many times before.
If you have never been to the Philippines you can gain enough information from this site to tell them you were in Makati and stayed at this hotel or that one. By doing this you are more likely to not get responses from the scam girls as they figure you know the deal. I actually state in my profile that I am tired of girls on CB with fake pics and trying to cheat guys. That cuts down alot as well. Personally I have never been scammed, but thought it would be practical to use it and I believe that it has helped weed out the fakes.

I have been there many times so I do know the deal. Helps alot when dealing on line setting up future meetings or if you are trying to meet a future mate.

To be fair there a lot of ladies who say in their profiles "No playboy's" "No games" etc etc. It cut's both way's guy's.

I kinda admire the tenacity & drive of many of these young women to find someone - anyone - to get them the hell out'ta [insert county here] ...

I personally knew a couple of cousins of my wife who very computer illiterate & inexperienced, their bakla male cousin used to go online with their profiles & type lovey dovey messages to prospects in the hope of snagging a fish.

In return for 'helping' the girls he got his cheap jollies & a chance to ask a kickback if the girl scored, hehe. What a hoot. :)

Of course there are hard core scammers out there also.

Anyway, if you wana met them up, chat them before, make sure u get their ym id or/and cp numbers. Sometimes you can score, sometimes not, depdn on ur looks and what you tell them. Dont tell them you do that with other gurls before. You tell them you just comin for them.

Let them waste their time. Once you realize they are on the make, just tell them you have to go -- end of chat.

The person with the model pictures is a good example. The pictures look too good to be true, and now you've let him/her know that they are obvious. Now, a smart scammer will go over to FilipinaHeart, find some really cute pictures of a real woman and put them on the fake site.

I suppose Strato enjoys playing cat and mouse, but I still think it's best to avoid letting them know you know!

I'm not sure if you meant to imply that Filipina Heart does not have scammer, actually I'm sure you didn't, but that is how it reads. Obviously the same things are happening on FH.
The pictures I posted are without a doubt scanned pictures. Which means they most likely came from a magazine. Which is why I posted them. I know some regular girls scan pictures, but not from paper like a magazine. It is very easy to tell the difference if you just look for a minute or two.

My point is if you use the Internet date sites for either hook ups, dates or to really find a lady to marry, it is best to state in your profile that you know the ways of the Philippines. That you have been to the Philippines, even if you have not. You can tell a real girl you meet later the truth, she will understand. This way the scammers just leave you alone.
I found that when I did this on my profile the number of hits I was getting dropped dramatically. Could be a coincidence..who knows

There have been several women on CL lately soliciting for tour guide service. What is the girls name and age? Anyway Robbaf is right in that a tour guide is the last thing you need. Any woman you meet will gladly double as a guide! If you're buying, she's flying!

Robbaf, not "any girl" can be your tour guide. My Manila girl had trouble communicating with Bohol boatman. In Davao I asked a lady about a good place to eat -- she suggested Jollibee. Another Davao girl suggested we meet at 2:30 for a trip to Paradise Beach -- aparently unaware that day use is until 5pm and then the boats stop and you must pay an overnight charge. If a girl is somewhat educated and knows the area, she can help a lot with communication, saving money, avoiding scams....but not always.

Nevertheless, the lady offering tour guide services to Canada for 2000 is just using a euphemism. The tour she's offerring is the area under her jeans.
