In trying to avoid certain ladies who are pestering me, I decided I'd open a new TF profile to replace my old one, refresh, revamp, update photos etc.

So I opened a brand new account using a different email address to my first one etc. On setting it up and logging in on my phone, I noticed I had "premium" membership despite not having paid. So I thought it must be a free trial. If I log into my old account on my computer is says standard user only. But if I log into my old account on my phone, it's saying "premium" member. It's as if they are using say the MAC address of my device as the account identifier rather than say my email address. Which seems just weird. It's as if my 'premium' subscription is interchangeable on the same device.

Anyone, any other explanation that I am missing!!

I have in English and Thai at the top of my profile that I am in Chiang Mai only, and not looking for a long-term relationship. English ANDThai. Many, many, many ladies do not read either.

I block thise who "pester me" or wants a long-term or serious relationship. And when I see in the "visited me" or "interested in me" lists that the lady is not in Chiang Mai (where I am), I click on "Hide" and do not see them again. My block list and hide lists are very long. It does make it easier to see what I want to see.

I believe your profile will be the same, but certain things, like your search criteria, are different. Sometimes it seems like two different accounts. That may be a clue to what you are experiencing.

Thinking about it I think I was just bored one day and decided after 3 years of the same profile it was time to reinvent my self, no great mystery. Although I did also notice that if I did a search while logged in and then did a similar search while logged out, quite often I'd be shown a lot of different girls. Assuming there are certain algorithms at play being utilized by TF.

I have also noticed that when you use the search function to find all user IDs starting with THAI, for example, the web version comes up with a lot more results than the app.

Asian Rain wrote a nice beginner's guide to using the free version of Thai Friendly. His post in Pattaya also had some nice sample Line exchanges with freelancers. Two of his key points were brevity and meet right now. He highlighted that TF is easier to use in Pattaya than in Bangkok because of the large percentage of freelancers. I've found similar percentages in other tourist resort towns (e.g., Samui, Phuket), though far fewer total options.

(6) You will be limited to one message every 10 minutes. So I was very direct to move to WhatsApp. Any girl I was interested, I sent a message in TF "Hi. Freelance? Message my WhatsApp at XXXXXXX". With the 10 minute limitation, it is useless to try back and forth messaging on free TF, so move to WhatsApp or LINE as soon as possible.

(7) Once I got the girls on WhatsApp, it was direct to the point. I am attaching a couple examples of WhatsApp chats where the girl didn't meet expectation. And an example from the girl who actually came to me.

(8) Be direct with what you want. Besides my preference for looks, I wanted a certain age (21 and under) and weight (under 50 kg). I didn't want a baby mama (which I encountered frequently). And I wanted girlfriend sex no condom (which was surprisingly and pleasantly easy).

(9) Price most often quoted for what I was looking for was THB2000. I likely could have gotten lower with negotiation, say THB1500, but wasn't so fussed as long as my requirements and expectations were met.

(10) Pattaya TF is quite a meat market. By the following day I had over 180 likes, so volume is not a factor. For me, 90% of those likes were from girls outside of my target. But what I observed is that there were many girls who were working go-go bars, beer bars or beach road as their profile pics were straight from those venues.

(11) I had no issues with free Thai Friendly for the super short duration I used it. Many young and eager providers ready to meet up. However, if I was staying for longer than a few days, IMO it would definitely be worth a $20 monthly subscription to unlock the premium search and messaging features.

(12) Suggest not to try to set anything up in advance. TF is not a high-class escort site that takes bookings. I noticed I was getting notifications in waves, so it seems the girls come online in morning, afternoon, evening and late evening "shifts" depending on their working pattern. They want to set something up quick (and so do you), so nobody is waiting around for anybody. Once I found my girl, I ghosted all the other girls who were messaging. Just like that. And I expect the girls do the same.

(13) Upon return to BKK, I noticed TF is less effective because the city is much bigger and the pool density of P4P providers is less. But it can work, just with more patience and effort.

Thanks for the cross post HorseTrader! Hope this is helpful for Thai Friendly newbies. I am adding the WhatsApp (or LINE) messaging I did with 3 girls (which includes the message exchange I had with the girl I hooked up with) as well as a pic from my hookup girl.

One other observation between TF girls in Pattaya versus Bangkok. All of the girls in Pattaya were users of WhatsApp. Since I have my burner WhatsApp for Business account, I found it much easier to provide that number up front as my first message in Thai Friendly. On the other hand, most girls in Bangkok use LINE. To me, this shows the girls in Pattaya are much more used to dealing with foreigners who are more likely to be on WhatsApp versus LINE. Enjoy, AR.

I have a Thai number and use that with line so I can search with their ID. So I can use both Line and Whatsapp with my Thai number.

Even if you have a Thai number, it won't work if you have set up your Line account with a foreign number. This is my experience anyway.

And yes, TF is indeed detecting and deleting QR codes now. Although you don't get any message or warning that it's doing this.

She added me without problem. I have premium TF account and USA phone number on my Line account.

I've had ladies send QR codes to me and they got deleted before I've seen them.

So last year I got a Thai esim and when I arrived I activated it. Then [B]while in Thailand[/B] I created a new Line account using the Thai number. I did this to avoid any issues of Line detecting my location on setup. So now I can add another line account any way that I need.

I keep the esim active by using the provider app for topping up the balance by a few baht to get at least one month extension of the expiry date.
