I agree with you BigJim, for what it is worth, a return PM would have been nice.
However, you should also agree with what the others are saying - the Bali girls are less conniving (scheming) than those in many other places, including the bar girls of Pattaya. As for wanting your money, well, if you get someone by using money, what else do you expect her to want from you?
Something I do not understand is why you need others to send you numbers when you say you have been around Bali for 20 years.
Anyway, it is not the end of the world. If you are shy about going to the bars, or sleep early, you can still get to Sanur. There are some very fine girls there, and you can get their numbers and also get them to visit you in your hotel.
I kept in touch with one for more than a year, until she lost her number or something. It can happen to you too.
Anyway, I am glad people are being reasonably reasonable about this, and not totally flying off the handle as I have seen happen before on other threads.

Thats because 99% of the Bali thread are decent people. 1Ball in particular is a true gentleman and has helped me on more than one occassion which I do not forget. All in all though, and lets be very real about this, if you can't walk down a street in Bali without being propositioned there is something very wrong. Some girls are very forward whilst others are a bit more reserved but it really isnt rocket science getting laid in Bali. The more harcore good looking girls are normally awake from 2 or 3 in the afternoon and then they will go down to the local beaches to see what the local bule population is up to. I don't know how many times I have been to the beach with a friend to see most of the girls that you will see in MBargo or other clubs getting a seamless tan and looking for the early customer. If they are lucky they will get one that will take them out to dinner and even luckier will try and get them for the whole holiday.

So if you want to score in Bali, its easy go out of your room or villa and turn right.

In all fairness to 1Ball, so many girls either change their numbers all the time or they move on. I dont know how many times I have called a number to have the girl say she has gone home for a month to Jakarta, Surabaya etc. Alot of these girls are like gypsies going where they can make a good living and support themselves and family.

One disturbing thing I am seeing lately is girls from Jakarta are coming here and whereas before 500.000 would be a guaranteed all night and more, now a lot of the girls are saying 500.000 for one hour. The rate for a good looking girl at the moment in Hi Season is ranging between 500.000 and 1.000.000 for the unaware. Remember please dont go crazy just because you can throw around a couple of hundred dollars to impress the girl. It just kills the market. I am fine that a girl makes a living out of escorting, but I do get annoyed when I see idiots boosting the prices because they want a particular girl.

This is the thing that causes problems. There may be one or two girls who really stand out from the crowd. Honestly, these girls deserve more than the other girls. However, what happens is that these girls come back and brag to their friends how much money they were paid. Their friends (not in the same league nor deserving of as much money) will then think that they too can get these rates. And they start to demand it which drives the price up for everybody. It's crazy.

As an example, I was in CJ's one night and some girl was refusing to go home with me for 500k all night because she knew I had given her friend 600k. Her friend was an absolute stunner, but this girl was average in my book. And it's a very rare occassion that I ever give 600k. That particular girl was spectacular. I told this girl "You are very pretty, but your friend is absolutely beautiful. She's one of the most beautiful girls I've seen in Jakarta. I don't give every girl the same.". Suffice it to say, she didn't go home with me. But I felt I was helping her to understand supply and demand for the next guy she talked to.

I must agree with the comments in this thread about choice being in abundance and all this talk about it being hard to find girls being a bit perplexing. I was propositioned in Centro, on the street. If I choose to pay an extra couple of hundred K for the balinese orchestra to play the bed flute concerto in A minor on my favourite friend. Onto more positive news: my little darling is due to arrive in the land of Oz in about 10 days time. Visa logistics are all but done, and all being well the plane tickets will be finalised on Saturday. More updates on romance in an Australian context soon. The only thing I can suggest is to go to Kuta once of twice, and hope to meet a cutie who doesn't mind the distance. While you are hunting, grab as many phone numbers as you can. Then call them up, and promise them a good return on their investment in travel time, for them to come up and see you. And of course, be prepared to meet her outside the hotel, so you can pay for the taxi, which I would suspect will be about 80K or so.

I agree with this whole hardily, unfortunately even the mediocre girl at the moment is doing well because of all the drunk westeners partying on. These girls are on a good run at the moment as there are a bucket load of tourists here again and all in party mode. It just means if the girl even if mediocre, takes that little extra time before they go out they will do well. I went out monday night for a few hours and looked around

Paddys... Full of workers, varying from wouldnt touch them to a few hotties, one in particular who is very thin but a very hot piece, Phyllis you know the one. She is 30 had two kids and worth every cent. Just wish I could have got some pics. Probably one of the best asses around and knows how to work the system. There seems to be a lot of older girls coming out at the moment and Paddys is starting from about 10pm which is better for old guys like me.

The last time I was in Bali (about 4 months ago), I thought the pickings were dire. (I must admit that living in Jakarta for so many years has spoiled me.) For my night in Bali, I started out at 11pm and went home at around 4am having visited Paddy's, Embargo and Bounty. The entire night, I only saw about 5 indo girls I would have liked to have taken home. Every one of them was "engaged" however. 2 of those girls were stunners and I would have considered them to be stunners in Jakarta as well. But overall, the pickings were slim, so I can believe that the price of those girls has gone that high in Bali. I wouldn't pay it, but a tourist might. Luckily I had brought my own girl from Jakarta for the weekend.

One thing I found humorous was the number of drunken tourists fondling the lady boys. I have little doubt they did not know those were not really girls. LOL! There were a heck of a lot of Lady Boys in those bars as well. I don't remember there being so many a few years ago.

I remember prior to the single Japanese man coming to Waikiki the prices of an outright princess of the jalan was $50.00 st. Now that the Japanese are here in droves, they will pay $300. + for a blonde and they love to do gang bangs. A group will pay her $1000.00 for 3 or 4 and this is a 1 hour ride total.

Ausi surfers are the least of your worrys. They drink and sing and have fun but they dont have the money for the high end girls. But the Japanese do have the "disposible cash" and spend like crazy.

At first you see the couples from Japan, always shopping and walking around, soon the single more afluent young men will come in groups and the prices will start to rise. More women will come from Java and the law of supply and demand will prevail, that will help keep the price fair but still much more than your used to paying.
We have US Navy Carrier groups dock at Pearl Harbor for leave, 6000 to 8000 sailors hit the streets looking for pussy, and they have a load of money saved up for partying. Girls know the schedule and they fly in from LA and San Francisco to service these sailors. This is when the price skyrockets.

I guess the moral of this story is that "God bless Indonesia" and fuck inflation. get used to paying more as time goes by. And btw it costs me more to have a main squeez, than pick as you go. We cant win so just enjoy what we have.
