The term "coyote" originated at the Coyote Ugly Saloon, which opened in New York City in 1993. The term spread all over the world after the release (in 2000) of the successful movie with the same name. The movie made the the concept of coyote dancers very popular.
In the NYC Coyote Ugly bar, the term at first referred to female BARTENDERS (not dancers) who sometimes got up on the bar and danced or sang or did magic tricks, acrobatics, all sorts of stunts, including flashing their tits, to get the customers to buy drinks. The concept was hugely successful and many U.S. bars rushed to take advantage of it. The problem was that relatively few women were cut out to be coyote bartenders and it was difficult meet demand. In time, some U.S. bars went for a hybrid form - "coyote dancers," i.e., girls who danced on the bar but weren't bartenders. They were sexy, although they didn't show much bare skin.
HOWEVER, and it's a big however, the term means different things in different places. In Thailand, it's supposed to mean dancers who are so good-looking that they don't have to dance naked, topless or even in bikinis. Keep in mind that TGs in general - and even BGs - find it humiliating to dance naked (or near naked). In the end, they'll do what they have to do to support their families, but they hate "unclothed" dancing. One coyote, who used to dance at Angel Witch, told me that the customers she pulls as a coyote treated her better than the customers she had as a go go dancer.
BTW, Coyote Ugly was the title of a play from the early 1980s about a grotesque family in Arizona, pure Southwestern white trash. The slang term "coyote ugly" refers to the feeling of waking up after a one night stand and discovering that you are beside someone who is so physically repulsive that you would gladly gnaw off any of your limbs that he or she is sleeping on just so you can get away without being discovered. Coyotes, when caught in a trap, will chew off their paws to get away.
It's the customers, not the bartenders, who are coyote ugly. It's also a very appropriate image for 90% of the foreign male visitors to Thailand.

I recall there was a "club" in a hotel ? Manhattan? in the soi that runs next to Thermae. This club catered for well to do Thai women (Khunyings and the like) and employed Thai men to service them as and when required.
Would your friend be happy with a Thai man or would she require a farang?
I've had more than a few excellent lays with 40+ Thai women, and if as you say she is attractive, I'd be more than happy to make the trip up from Isaan to have a dabble.

The other night in BKK a "coyote" was asking for more then what the highest paid girls on 33 asked for and I laughed so hard diet coke came out my nose..... It's just more BS. She quickly came down in price as it is very slow right now but then she realized my TGF was with me also and there was no way she was going home with me. I even overheard an obvious lady boy walking nana asking a drunk guy for 4,000 baht for short time hahahaha... what is happening to BKK (too many dumb assed farangs).

It should be easy. Here are a couple of options:
1. Take her to one of the gay areas (eg the laid back one in the Soi next to Thaniya Plaza, a second more aggressive one nearby on the other side of Surawong, or if she goes to Patts, Boyztown). Since many of the guys (perhaps over half) are not actually gay, they would be grateful to have an attractive 40 yr. Old female customer. These hetro guys often get stuck servicing elderly male customers. A couple years ago, I visited a Boyztown club w my early 20s Taiwan gf. They went crazy hoping to serve her and she confirmed to me that many of the guys there are very attractive (I got her out of there fast). I think they all range in age between 18 23 w a few exceptions (male mamasan equivalents perhaps? ).
2. Take her to the outdoor disco on Patpong 1 if she is interested in horny farang or African men. Best time between 1 am and closing time (around 2:30 am) when the pick-up action accelerates.

I am guessing that by saying soi 55 you mean Sukhumvit? if that is the case then look no furhter than TULIP. Go to Sukhumvit / Soi 55, take the elevator up to the BTS, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit and you are in front of TULIP (the raunchiest Massage Place in town). Go to the massage Thread and search.

The travel distance you gave for NEP etc, is that taxi time or walking time.

Sukhumvit is the main road (like a big avenue) and the Soi(s) are the streets that lead to this avenue. You can find more info on Mick's maps ;)
