Yup. Let's save the money, renovate our homes, and try to get exercise too.
Its not the time to fuck around nor to make many friends either.

When Germany helped France for first wave, I wish we will help back if needed. And pretty sure, after US thanksgiving killer, we will have after Christmas and Sylvester killer in cold January for third wave, South Korea already have and their worst wave. Vaccines should start on beginning of new year in France and Germany for old, weak and medical people, but won t stop spreading. Even I hate, because can t see women beautiful faces, but mask may be more efficient versus spreading, when we don t even know for how long vaccines will work, when some caught several times virus. When more and more violence at home, more and more suicides, more and more people becoming poor, and no ski for me, so big frustration. What is just funny for me at the moment is just before brexit start, so many UK running staying card to be allowed to stay in France, for a better life as they say. Of course, they are welcome in beautiful with good way of life France. NL now follow Germany to try to fight virus, this is our Europe.
Quick immunology lesson:
Normal events:
*Exposure to virus* / over several days, virus proliferates and multiplies / over a few more days, person shows symptoms / over the next week, patient carries high viral load, spreading to others / over another week to weeks, person remains symptomatic and infectious / Meanwhile, body is slowly making antibodies for the first time to virus, a process that may take several weeks..
US are starting vaccine, UK already started, Germany will start before end of December and Western Europe will follow them, when vaccines will be only for old, weak, medical and rich people, then we will see for real about spreading, when young will think again: now with vaccine for at risk people, no more risk, and spreading again, when I don't think old and weak are those who are spreading the most. Should need to vaccine most of population to slow spreading, if vaccine really efficient lasting in time. Should take a while for this.

I wouldn't make any international travel plans before May, June to be safe.

Yes, I believe vaccines will be efficient. After lets say 4 weeks of successful vaccination of medical personnel and older / risk groups then we will se large drop in number of deaths and therefor the pressure on hospitals will drop, which is so important. Then when vaccination of age groups 60, 50, 40 begin we will see gradual decrease in spreading.
To the comparison vs flu you should add that better hygienic practices (washing hands) and social distancing has led to flu almost being at zero levels this season. Most of these practices will continue. In total I think we have reasons to be optimistic about everything looking rather positive in February or March 2021.
Do you really believe that the vaccine will be efficient? Even it will work it will not be better than the flue vaccine and we still have a lot of flue cases every year.
Why you never speak about the 200+ areas where the police and you can t enter and those are less than 7 kilometres from the Champ Elysee, are you taking the RER be to airport CGD after 10 PM. Sorry France is not what you describe, it is becoming a terrible place with a lot of migrants involved in criminal activities and on top of that a completely split society. Let us speak about covid, Germany 90 Millions people and 25000 deaths, France 65 Millions and 60000 deaths, is Germany doing so bad?

If many cases, not only old and weak finish in hospitals but also some between 20 and 50. Old and weak are not those who spread the most.

Longer term studies is another topic. At this point it looks like for population not at high risk or in contact with high risk people vaccinations won't be available before April or May.

Of course UK, Germans, NL and Belgium also love Costa Brava, Catalunya and Baleares, for quality of life compare to their home country, same like in France and Italy. Arithmetic's just talk: small France and Paris are number 1 for tourism, huge US, NYC, LA, China, India can t compete. Spain and my beloved Italy are also in top 4 for tourism, with magic Roma, Venezia, Firenza, Barcelona, Cadix. Great foods and high quality of life in these 3 countries and high medical healthcare in France as say British, compare to UK and when around French population don t have insurance in country number 1 in the world, US, even for some people who have several jobs, but no healthcare insurance, third world for social. A bit shame in front of the world, not a good example for American dream.

My life learned me unfortunately, can change very fast: I can be killed by terrorism, crash with car, detected with cancer and die in less than 3 months, so then, I won't need money I sleep on, and as far I know, I would not have anymore pleasure when dead. Money is just to live in good way for me, I don't need anymore more, when I could make much more working more, but I just want my pleasures: skiing my spots, climbing my beloved mountains, dedicating my life to beauty, what is my pleasure with adrenaline. I let being or becoming rich to others, I don't need 3 houses, I need only 1 bed and I usually sleep better in my car, when we will all be equal under ground, when we are different for life.

Unlike migrants in other countries those are older and won't get work visas. Their problem is also that if they're older then health care won't be available like before due to reciprocal agreement no longer valid. As with most groups down there they're not particularly integrated into Spanish society. That doesn't help them either.
We'll see about the overall effects but the migrants in Spain are most likely in for a rollercoaster ride.
