They were all amazing and I had front row seats. It was pretty hard to tell and I knew they were men from the outset.

They are generally larger than the average straight Thai male. What are you guys looking at to make you think it is a woman? Just the makeup maybe? Think to yourself, if this person had on no makeup would it still look like a woman. Ain't a one of those mfs running around without HEAVY makeup that you would still think to be a woman. Someone kinda posted this question in the hotels and apartments section and got no response so I'm going to try here. Several apartments at the Blux now have warnings about visitors, guests, pre-pagos or other euphemisms, these apartments didn't used to have those 'house rules'. I heard there was a raid at the Blux some time ago and now it isn't the guest friendly place it used to be. A quick look at airbnb sees many apartments now have these conditions. Is anyone aware of a change of policy, would you stay at the Blux?

Of course the owners of each apartment can set rules on who and when non guests can enter. And that would be my guess as to what is going on.

But it is also possible that owners voted on a new policy about non residents in the building and the administration is enforcing it.

If I was interested in a particular apartment at the blux I would just ask the owner what his policy is on guests in the apartment.

But I also suspect it is only a portion of the rental units. Large or small portion, who knows. Whatever the case, it appears to be a trend that may force a change in the MDE scene. I for one enjoy the buildings with security for a couple of reasons. One, it keeps visitors from being a front door surprise. Secondly, it allows me to feel more secure / isolated from the sometimes dangerous world that exists on the streets of Medellin. Before we know it, these legal short-term apartment rentals will be extinct. So either I will have to be satisfied more with the casas / clubs or start looking to spend more time in SE Asia or the less desirable / secure areas of MDE.
