I'm of Russian decent, but you won't find me going onto the Russian boards talking out my ass and ending a discussion with "I'm Russian", so I know.

What I'm saying is backed up by actual experience. My feet are on Cuban soil over 20% of the time over the last few years. My opinion is based on observation and interaction with the actual Cuban culture.

I don't care what you think. Cuban girls are a lot better in the sack than American girls of Cuban descent. I'm not handicapped with the politics, I just enjoy a great cigar and a hot chica.

Man, you're something else![/QUOTE]I've been going to Cuba since 1999. Seen a lot of things. Assimilated myself into the culture, learned the language, had a lot of fun. Married a girl. Divorced her five years later. Lived there for months on end. Built houses, travelled the Island. Have many friends (and many more 'frens') there, still.

I think I'm well acquainted with Cuba, in a lot of ways.

Reports have it that Cuba is laying off 500,000 workers. I wonder if this is going to have any impact on my trip to Havana (and Maria la Gorda) in November? Any thoughts?

Not true. When you make a general statement like this, it only takes one example to refute your argument. I've been to Cuba many times, don't claim to be a Cuban expert but have hooked up with many girls who were not "hardcore" professionals (And having proudly spend money on hardcore professionals, I'm pretty sure I know one when I meet one). In addition, to be clear, I did not state that Cuban women were the most incredible sexual partners in the world, I merely stated that they could "move" (refer to my original report). The only other claim I made was that they were better at sex than Colombians, something I believe I am more than qualified to comment on.

In any case, everyone's experience is different, the only way for someone who has not been to Cuba to confirm who is right or who is wrong is for them to go themselves and experience it.

I think part of the issue is that sex is recreation for Cubans on the island. I mean what else is there to do ? That and the lack of Catholic guilt.

I have had conversations with women (whom I were not intimate) who had told me that they can't go long without sex. It shocked me because one was married and having sex with people other than her husband.

I too frequent Colombia. While the women are pretty I don't find them as much fun in the sack. That plus you have to watch your ass there. In Cuba, I can get drunk and stagger all around town and not have to worry too much.

Does anyone know of a website where we can meet and chat with Cuban girls?
I will be heading there in the next month and would love to meet and plan some adventures with them there.

You obviously can not comprehend the situation in Cuba by what you have asked. I highly suggest you go somewhere else or even safer, stay home since International affairs or reality is not your strong suit. There is not free enterprise there to have someone create a website of that kind. Also hardly anyone has a computer to look it up. You will definatley be taken advantage of on an island like Cuba. Please do not look at this like flaming but some very useful advice. Will somebody else please tell this royal genius what I mean? WOW, you moron! Oh yeah if you still don't know what I mean, RTFF!

Sounds like you have a lot to learn yourself. More and more Cubans have internet access. Cuba is not as backwards as you make it out to be.

I have met about 6 girls from the website Badoo.com and a couple from Meetic.com. Badoo is far better (and free) and literally has hundreds of girls from Havana. However you will have to know Spanish as it will be tough to chat with a girl if you don't.

Jonesie is right; I think you've had an encounter or two in Cuba, and now think you know exactly how the score is, when in fact, you don't. At all.

Cuba is very much more than meets the eye, especially when it comes to 'one-offs' visitations. Cuba's constantly changing, as a whole, and regionally.

What's true in Holguin may not necessarily be true in Havana, or Santa Lucia, or Cienfuegos or Santiago or Pinar, for example.

You'll never get to the bottom of Cuba. Ever. You can navigate it, with some well thought-out planning, and many visits; but even then, in the blink of an eye what you thought you knew can change.

That's the challenge and the excitement of Cuba. Embrace it, or go somewhere else.
