My mongering in Colombia is limited as I have always dealt with non-pros there. I have never been there for Christmas, only for New Years + Eve at which time everything is closed because they spend it with their families instead of out partying as we do in my country. But this year my novia will come from Cali and meet me in Bogota and we will spend New Years Eve partying at one of the few spots that will be open that night. Next I'm going to ask why they think the seasons change on different dates than the ones which are conventional (Australia excluded).

The 24th is called NOCHE BUENA.

Regarding women closing their legs on religious holidays, many colombianas will not have sex during Holy Week and Easter Sunday. They believe that the penis might become PEGADO, or in english STUCK in the vagina. Very strange of course, but part of the cultural thinking. I don't think they teach this in any of the universities Mr. Enter attended.

In no catholic country or region do they celebrate Christmas on the 25th, it's always on the 24th. Or just after midnight. If you count that as the 25th :P.

I've never heard of the no sex during Christmas or holy week, maybe it's a paisa thing, they have all these weird superstitions. Anyways I've never had a problem with that. Last year I had sex on sabado de gloria. The penis came out normally.

I was trying to have a discussion about this on another Colombia forum and the fucking intolerant prude asshole running it deleted the thread so I'll repost it here.

Saw a report the other day saying that there are over 200, 000 REGISTERED sex workers in Bogota alone. Think about how high that number is. There could easily be many times that amount working as semi pros, or off the books etc. Goes to show what I expected all along. In a city of 7. 5 million people probably half of the women between 15-50 years of age here have charged for sex at one time or another.

So if you're looking for a non-pro, what you probably have on your hands is a semi-pro.

Even in my own personal life, most of the girls I sleep with that I DON'T pay have admitted to me they charged for sex at one time or another.

You appear extremely misinformed on many levels, no disrespect intended. The customs of cultures outside of your culture are bound to be a either a ittle different or perhaps even vary greatly. Why not ask, "Why do they speak Spanish in Colombia instead of English?"

I can think of about 7 countries outside of South America (the continent) that celebrate Christmas exclusively on the eve which lasts well after midnight, reveil, Denmark, Spain, Philippines, Finland, Italy, Sweden. Many in melting pot countries, the US for example Italian Americans, exhange gifts and have the big family shin dig on Christmas eve, midnight mass, fish dinner, etc. Just like it is back in their home country of Italy. Is this tradition of Christmas eve being the big thing and the 25th taking the back seat really that foreign to anyone on this board? WhõreMonger or regular guy? I don't think so.

It is usualy the self proclaimed scholars who are the most ignorant. Trust me when I say pro or non pro woman follow the same calendars and customs, and Christmas eve is more the holiday than Christmas day in most countries outside of the US and England and Eastern Europe.

Thanks to your steamy reports and pictures I'm strongly considering visiting Colombia in the very near future (Feb-Mar '11). However, these news of the flood of the century are giving me willies. I was going to visit popular tourist areas e. G. Bogota, Villa de Leyva, Coffee Zone, Cartegena with Medellin as a highlight of the trip. From English news it seemed like the whole country was flooded like New Orleans in 2006. I saw the pics and there were lots and lots of water. So I have a few questions.

A) Is bus travel still possible in Antioquia province?

Be) what about Coffee Zone?

See) Wouldn't crime rise a bit with so many people displaced?

The) What is the situation on ground in general in the areas I mentioned?

I really appreciate honest info. I'd really love to visit Colombia soon and to help those beautiful chicas learn English.
