So I'm finally in Delhi, landing at the usual godforsaken wee hours of the morning that Qatar Airways seems to prefer. And so it turns out that the hotel I'm in is being used by a couple of the IPL cricket teams; Delhi and Kolkatta or something like that- forgive the ignorance- I'm not really a fan.
Therefore zillions of people everywhere. Including a bunch very-very short skirted Afrikaner girls (that's white south african) drunk, rowdy, creating quite a ruckus at the reception lobby. I think they're the the IPL Team cheerleaders or something. All this at 4:30am. Scene (and girls) resembles something out of Teazers at closing time in Johannesburg.
Not to mention security like Barack Obama is in town. My floor alone has two guards at the lifts, and two on each wing. Wow.
Anyhow after much research, pestering and begging (I don't remember doing this much work for my college thesis) I've managed to get a few "SP" contacts from kindly forum members and a couple of my local monger buddies.
The first one I called up kept asking me what my budget was. When I refused to give him a number he said he'll bring me "air-hoshtessh besht quality" straight to my room. Told him no thanks will get back to you.
Second dude simply hung up when I told him 12-15k for all night (laughably low, apparently).
Third dude said he'll send me pics, once I see what I like we can negotiate. 10-15k. Still waiting for those pics 4 hours later. He sounded a bit better than the previous two but apparently is having trouble with MMS. When I called him to find out what happened he said his laptop is in the "office" (huh?) so better he brings two girls to the hotel so I can choose. Hmm. I think not.
Fourth fellow (incidentally a forum contact, and apparently very reliable one at that) gave a similar budget figure and sent me a bunch of MMS Pics. Sounded like a nice guy on the phone, not like the first two. I liked a couple of the girls so after a bit of haggling he told me he'll send one over at 8:00pm. Lets see how it goes- should be interesting.
Clearly the fact that I sound very foreign and clueless and am staying at what seems to be one of the more upscale hotels has affected the price (and subsequently choice). As one forum member recently put it "Middlemen Rule" here. No kidding!
With all the hundreds of pretty girls (indian, white, whatever) swarming over the hotel makes me really wonder what it takes to score normal girls here. Obviously more than I have to offer, since I don't make silly money and I resemble Ron Jeremy with a small the*ick more than Tom Cruise.
Incidentally I read in the latest(ish) Economist on the flight over that India has 10% fewer female births than male, and the gap is growing. They listed many many reasons but in short not a good thing at all.

I am staying at a 5 star in South / Central Delhi. I had spoken to the SP prior to confirming the hotel with my work. Since this is an open forum I am not comfortable sharing it's name however members with PM capability can PM me and I will be willing to share the hotel name. Also if something does go down I will post a report ASAP. This time hopefully with a better experience and pictures. Thanks!
Room service seems not be a problem but from my (limited) experience much more expensive as you're viewed as clearly an outsider with money to burn, or be burned on your behalf. It seems that the the number of "stars" of your hotel (as well as accent) are some kind of a mathematical ripoff scale-factor when talking to SP's in their pricing formulas.

continuing from where i left off last time. i eventually ended up asking for "anjali" for all night- 15k. i realize now that was too expensive in more ways than one.
the sp guy wanted to bringer her over at 10 or 11pm. given wg's global reputation for punctuality that would have translated to probably around midnight or later so i negotiated down to 8pm although didn't expect him to show up before 9.
as expected at about 8. 30 he calls me and says that the girl is a bit delayed because of traffic or some other silly reason and will be there in 20min. true to word half an hour later he calls me and says they're downstairs in the lobby so i should go pick her up.
in the lobby the girl (shockingly?) isn't the one in the photo so i call the the sp! wtf? he apologizes profusely with various excuses and asks me to consider this new one. the girl "divya" was very young- couldn't have been much past 20- and actually quite pretty, not too slim, not overweight and looked very tasty in her well fitting jeans and tshirt. just the way i like them! so against my own advice i agreed. her "handler"- some scruffy looking dude then asked for the money but this time i said forget it- called up the sp and told him money in the morning or get lost. he finally negotiates to half now, half in the morning. turns out to be the only (semi) intelligent thing i did all day.
the security guard manning the lifts eyed us suspiciously but i just told him "restaurant" and pointed up so he let us pass. i guess that's a plus for the hotel!
up in the room i realize that this girl can't speak much english so communication is immediately a problem. she asks if i have condom and i say i don't so a 100 rupee cab drive and 20 min later we're back in the room. this is when things start to go downhill- a really pathetic bbj with her eyes glued to the tv. after about 2 minutes she stops an starts putting on the condoms. first one then start to open a second one! wtf? now these 60-rupee-for-a-dozen condoms bought in a hurry look and smell like they're us government-issue made from military-grade ballistics material so i wasn't about to agree to "double bagging it" any time soon.
anyhow she really is quite nice without clothes on so i tell her to lie back so i can play with her. she has a wonderful albeit very young body with nice breasts and a tight tummy so i wanted to explore more. that being the very reason i wanted all-night- so i could take my time. at my age i don't like rushing things i might blow a gasket or seize a bearing somewhere. more experienced (not necessarily older!) gents will know what i mean!
so then she starts; no touch there, no touch here etc etc. no touch breast. no touch pussy. no kiss yummy flat tummy. at this point i lose it and tell her to get dressed and get out! i mean i know i'm not very good looking and certainly not in the best shape but that's irrelevant. as they say in thailand the money i paid makes me a "hansum man" and didn't expect her to behave like she was revolted by the experience (she probably wasn't- just has the same mental and physical issues that most girls in the business do.) in hindsight perhaps if i spoke hindi the experience would have been better since we might have been able to build up a rapport and conceivably i would have been able to convince her to allow me to do the things i wanted to do.
i call the sp and tell him i'm sending her home. she looks a bit confused but by now i don't care. sp whinges for about a minute and then says ok- let her go. after all he has my advance payment! asks if i can escort her to the lobby- i say forget it- she's out the door and on her own.
so the lessons from this little episode-
1. if you're a foreigner in delhi for a short time without much hindi / local knowlegde give it a pass or be prepared to be ripped off. scamming foreigners is a national pastime here and is very easy for us to get caught out. the scammer this time would be the sp and not the girl herself. judging by her appearance, mannerism and lack of english i doubt much (or any) of the money paid to her actually goes to her.
2. bringing the girl back to the hotel magnifies the risk of being scammed for obvious reasons. not sure if visiting the girl's place is a viable option but i sure wouldn't try it.
3. always refuse a bait-and-switch. no matter how good looking the replacement is. it's an indicator of very bad things to come.
4. no upfront payment. that will save hassles later.
5. insist on a girl who speaks english. once again this increases the "scam quotient" but is important to mitigate the risk of a bad experience.
from what i've gathered so far it really helps to do your initial mongering with a local you trust who can take you to the local joints or bring trusted girls to you. i still don't see this as a guarantee of future mongering success in such a scam-oriented culture and i guess it boils down to your appetite for risk. a few years ago maybe i would have tried venturing out to a girl's place, not now though. not in a strange country where i can't speak the language and have no local emergency numbers i can call if i get stuck.
on the flip side sp calls back after an hour and apologizes profusely and says he could try for something tomorrow. i'm willing to try again only if he applies my first advance payment against the second girl. not much chance of that though.

Unfortunately Indian DESI girls are known for their tauntrums and not cooperative as CIS or Thai girls. Although this is not as bad as posted in your report.

As I said earlier try visiting the SP and then take girl of your choice to the Hotel. Overnight is surely 15k-17k here you would hardly find anyone less than this.
