Hang out at breakfast at Casa Cayena. Many of the guests are regulars with many years of experience. You will learn a lot just listening.

Don't let yourself get tangled up with the girls on the street. It can be overwhelming, having a girl try to grab your arm every 10 feet. Just tell them no and keep moving. Most will get the hint after a few steps.

Same advice for the touts. Just tell them no when they try to sell you something.

Find a good spot and just watch and listen. You will quickly figure things out.

Pace yourself. The beer and the girls go down easy. No need to rush through your beer, or rush to grab a girl. If you're in a hurry, the price goes up and the quality goes down.

If the girl is in a hurry to get you out of the bar, she'll probably be in a hurry to get back to the bar. Take the time to find one with some chemistry.

See the town. Check out Sinatra's for a nice dinner and drunk Canadians doing bad karaoke. Take a moto up the hill and check out Castillo del Mundo King. Just tell them "El Museo" and point up the hill. You can get some good pictures for the people who won't understand your real reason for the trip. Go to the beach. Check out the little pubs and bars. A lot of ex-pats prefer the quieter spots.

Lastly, watch your step. You'll understand why when you encounter the first curb.

It is pretty loud at times until late in the morning when I was there last summer. I finally complained to the security guards and they had it turned down.

That's not my point to make. I only thought the "strange interaction with a woman" subtext would be of peculiar interest or raise an eyebrow or two amongst our fellow ISG readers.

Now back to arguing how much we should pay a pro vs a semi-pro after the optimal number of interviews one is given.

Any attempt to address the issue of gun death and injury in the US is met by a bunch of well-funded lobbyists, correction, concerned American patriots, waving the 2nd Amendment.

The end result, about 100 dead and 200 injured every day. When compared to other first world countries, the numbers are disgraceful.

Back to the subject of Sosua. Is Izzy still working at Chez Mon Real? Small, skinny guu, will talk your ear off. Nice guy. He was threatening to quit in September over a disagreement with his boss.
