If you got a good all inclusive deal with a flight, you could maybe stay there and rent another room for meeting girls. Just depends on what you want. If you drink a lot, the all-you-can-drink option might be tempting.

I have friends that pay for the package and then rent a cheap hotel room close to the action, eat breakfast only as the dinner food is not great and pre game on the free booze. It works for them, I've never stayed there.

I did that years ago in Iberostar. You can still bring in a chica at casa marina, but you have to list her name when making the reservation, I read a review that complained too many guys walking around with local chicas. Many hotels aren't available right now for the week of 2/25-3/1, the ones that have a room are too risky or look like motels. I'm not staying in a place with a bad air conditioner. I want to stay at a bigger establishment so if I have a problem, it will be easier to find another room within the resort. The only thing I need in an all inclusive is breakfast, I'm planning to eat and explore the neighborhood food. The alcohol is too watered down at resorts so Ill be sticking to bottles of presidente.
I don't want to rent another room in town for the week, and I won't need it, can you guys tell me where they have good hourly rates pref. With A / C? And basics like soap and towels, thanks.

BQ Ribs has all of the pictures and even a few photographs from the Super Bowl party. All things considered, they came out pretty good. BQ Ribs was pleased with my work. I'm sure if you ask him he would be willing to share them with you.
But what surprises me most is that you actually want the pictures. My man, they in no way compare to the awesome beauty, turn your head sexuality and raw sensuality contained in the pictures of your Boca Chica chicas.

All the things you suggest, I have done and still do. It's my first choice for a cheap direct flight, even if I don't stay there more than a couple nights.
They have just finished a 3/4 year renovation, so it's the closest you can get to a NA hotel experience for those who like that sort of thing.
But then, I'm wifed up, so it's a totally different ball game for mongers.
For the chicas, there's a kind of status that goes with being a registered guest there because a lot of their "cousins" work there, and they really go out of their way for you.
The chicas you meet there (including mine) tend to be higher end, sophisticated ladies that know how to behave in a social environment. Good folks.

And basics like soap and towels, thanks.[/QUOTE]For hourly rate, probably the only one in Sosua that will meet your expectations is Dulce Secretos, it's at the far East end of town. You can probably find more info in the Sosua hotels thread. It's not exactly convenient, but a motoconcho can take you there.
As for hotels in Sosua, there are several good options, depending on your budget. Plaza Europa is a nice place, well maintained. Had a broken cabinet door latch in my room, it was fixed within an hour of check-in. A / see worked great, even though my room was top floor. Every room has a balcony overlooking the central courtyard, pool area. I was very comfortable there.
Casa Cayena was also very comfortable. They don't have a lot of rooms, but they are very good at making sure customers are happy. They also include breakfast and dinner, pretty good food.
Casa Valeria, New Garden and Victorian House have all been recommended as well. There are a few others probably worth checking out as well.
Just my opinion, but it seems like an all-inclusive corporate hotel would insulate you from really appreciating Sosua. At breakfast you're listening to a middle aged couple complain about all the shameless prostitutes, while a young family is griping about the heat, noise or litter. You're mostly surrounded by people who would despise you if they saw you with a chica.
Sit down for breakfast at Casa Cayena or Ramona's and you're with kindred spirits. Nobody is going to turn their nose up because they saw you with a 20 something chica on your arm. It just seems to be a more authentic Sosua experience.
Two years ago I posted a review of some of the hotels in Sosua. I copy it again for the benefit of others. Below is a list (the prices might be outdated and does not take into consideration seasonal changes). If anyone sees any mistakes please correct them.
Urban Cabana-$50-I had to go here twice since I could not find any workers the first time out. The room that was shown to me had a futon on a low platform.
Rockies-$27-$37 (depending on air conditioning). The only problem is that to get to the rooms you need to walk through the restaurant (there might be some other way but I didn't see it). There might be some noise issues since it is so close to the restaurant (it is in back of the restaurant). He also has condos for about $50 a night.
Hotel Orquidee-$31-$37 (depending on air conditioning) -rooms do not have safes but items can be stored in management's safe.
Terra Linda-$69-the best in terms of ambience. I was shown the A section (when one enters the pool area of Terra Linda it it the rooms straight ahead. To the right, beyond the pool, are the be rooms. They t end to be nicer and more expensive. Very quiet hotel. There is a restaurant at the front of the hotel (which, in some respects, I think is a bit pricey but food is very good) and you can order drinks while sitting poolside.
Complimentary breakfast.
Casa Valeria-about $54-11 rooms in the hotel. Quiet and a bit more cramp compared to most hotels (it is located between New Garden and Terra Linda). The room shown looked nice and spacious but I do recall they having smaller rooms. They have an attached, very small restaurant, and complimentary breakfast.
New Garden-$65-I looked around and did not see any chicas. I asked the worker and he said that they will be in later. They offer complimentary breakfast. Rooms are spacious. The new wing is really nice but more expensive. Today seems quiet but depending on the crowd it sometimes tends to have a frat house mentality. Also, having chicas on site has its own set of issues (good and bad).
Sea breeze-$40-the rooms do not tend to be so nice as the above mentioned hotels. Sometimes it can get a bit noisy but if you are on the upper floors you might not notice it.
Casa Cayena-$72-nice rooms and complimentary breakfast.
Casa Rancho-$50-similar to Casa Valeria.
Don Antonio, Las Palmeras-$30-rooms are one notch up from Calypso, but not by much. Very close to the action so can be noisy.
Citylights-$35-these appear to be offices converted to rooms. Quite spacious but can get noisy (Citylights bar is below and andéxt to the rooms.
Calypso-$20-got a chica and for whatever reasons you do not want to take her back to your hotel. Well, here is the place. 2 hours for 500 pesos. One night is $20. This is the worse of the lot. You are scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
Europa-$40-looks like a place that at one time was nice but is a bit run down. The rooms are spacious and nice.
The'Piero-$45-$55-the rooms look like apartments. The only drawback is that it is beyond The New York Bar and before Passions. It is out of the way and down a side street. Need to be careful getting there.
Perla de Sosua-$42-decent rooms for the price. Do not need Cedulas when bringing chicas on site. Tricky finding staff at night. Just ask owner for telephone number just in case you need him.
I did not check out Victoria House because of all the complaints. All the above hotels are chica friendly. I have not commented on the hot water or electricity issues of the hotels.
After several times in Sosua, for some reason on this trip I got bored of doing the the same small walk ever day and finally got the nerve to rent out a bike, well a scooter anyway! Once I got the hang of it, is was great to actually explore more outside the town better, I saw more of Sosua in a day on that thing that I have in weeks by foot! Didn't have any close calls, and found that other drivers were pretty considerate, even when I ventured out a few miles along the highway as far as Sea Horse ranch.
Anyway, instead of posting photo's of pretty beaches here which I also have, I have attached some from the abandoned hotels and complexes here which I find quite intriguing, weird and sad all at the same time. I know this doesn't just happen here, but the amount of abandoned buildings as a percentage of the total is ridiculous! Why are there so many of them? The casino one is huge, I would hate to think of the amount of money that has been wasted there! I am sure these are only the tip of the iceberg too!
Anyway, attached are photo's from the Sosua bay beach club (abandoned hotel restaurant and theatre), burnt down restaurant in front of Morua Mai, abandoned Pizza place on Pedro Clisante, abandoned building just beside former CMP nightclub, abandoned building along side street of Pedro Clisante, massive abandoned hotel and Casino at the far east of Sosua (sorry forgot the name), High Carribean Jef (whatever that place was?) and lastly Tutty Frutty hotel (this ruin is so impressive it could be used as a movie set!) Anyway, I don't mean to put the place down with this post, just thought it an interesting topic.
Wow you guys are a real bad influence! LOL I was trying to relax with maybe a chica or two in between my stay, now with a guest friendly resort I have a feeling the NY marathon is coming early this year.
So I just booked the last room available in Europa, or so the site says.
I also sent them an e-mail confirming they'll have a well air-conditioned room on 1st or 2nd floor, or if I can check out a few rooms upon arrival since I will be landing at 11:30 am.
Last thing to do is to cancel the casa marina reservations.
In the end, I'll have an extra $289 to spend around town on some good food and alcohol.

Def got to try it one of these days. Will help the time pass by in the day. I've heard that one reason there are so many abandon buildings in pp is because the russian mob buys these buildings to set up fake business and laundry money. While I do believe it is the case, it is not the main reason for all the empty building but a factor.
I rented one in Punt Cana. I was a bit nervous but enjoyed the experience. I would suggest renting from non Dominicans. Every business run by them is subject to scams. I was hit for phantom damage. Just how business is done in the DR.
Abandoned buildings and businesses are common all over the DR. Things are started like gang busters and quickly die.

Yesterday evening, I drove along the road that goes by Mary Rose and went all the way to the abandoned casino and the tutty frutty building etc and I too wondered. I also saw that a lot of nicely manicured residential buildings at that far end that are on sale. Without speculating on the cause, I would also say, it is strange.
