Cruising the country side
NGong,
That sounds exactly like something I'll do.
It would be great if I can find a trusty driver too. A local who doesn't mind and welcomes our hobby. That will make it more efficient.
I will let you know.
Thank you.

Car hire is 3000. 5000 ksh for a day with transport you can go to the small towns round MB and sleep in local hotels.
When you take the road to Voi and go of the main road and want to hunt look for a target and ask of they can help you.
Special in the rual area is it a good hunting they are always ready to asist you special when you are a muzungu (white man).
Special in the area a 20 km from town is it easy to find a good and cheap target.
Most of the time when they ask you for a soda it is a easy way to get what you want with a soda and a lunch you invite to make a trip andth rest is how you want to do it. You have your fun and not a pro.[/QUOTE]
In country quicky. Report
Thanks for those who provide great information on this thread.
Arrived on a Sunday in mombasa airport. Surprise! 50 USD for visa. LOL I had 57 USD but nooo. So I went and withdrew 5000Ksh to get visa.
Airport shops were pretty much closed. Sunday!
I was looking for orange sim card but it was closed. The Avis guy was trying to sell me a rental. I told them I am NOT going to pay those prices. Eventually we agreed he will give me a ride all the way to Mtwapa stopping first to allow me to purchase and activate a an orange sim card and withdrew money from a MasterCard ATM for 3000Ksh when we got there he tried to get more but I said no we only good on 3000 that was good.
At the moment I can honestly tell we are in dead season as far as tourism goes.
So it's a monger's market.
I chose Shanzu cause I found a great large one bedroom apartment for good deal.
The mgr from Hibiskus screwed up my reservation so when I got there I basically didn't have a room. Was told all rooms booked because of a national teachers conference.
So I spent my first night in Monalisa. I took the single King size bed room so I was told to pay 1000 for every girl that went up to my room. Not just spend the night. I thought that was dirty. But I had to follow the rules.
First night was great I did two chicks from Tagged who now I realize were pros in hiding. Great service. One was a tall skiny 26yrs old with small perky beasts goes by XXXXX on Tagged. Nice funny pot head girl. The other is a 19 yrs old XXXXXX soft spoken with huge breasts from Congolesen origin.
For great local food I recommend Mumtaz and Al Mansoura in Mtwapa. Mumtaz has delicious grilled on carbon chicken. Nice and crisp on outside but juicy in inside 4 around 200-300. I paid 665 for two plates plus two cokes.
For transport I use Matatu for 40Ksh and they are abundant just prepare urself for serious body orders. LOL.
I find BodaBoda (motos) to be more convenient and efficient transport though feels dangerous.
Ok, that's all for now. I am using my phone to make this quick report and it's not fun like my Ipad. But no wifi here so I am using orange Internet on my phone for now.
Bty, locals recommend orange for better Internet service.
I will look for wifi to use my Ipad and give better report.
My apologies if it sounds like a rough draft and dry from all the juicy details.
Mtwapa. The right place to visit?
in a village where prostitution and sex trafficking are the norm, it's not uncommon to see girls as young as five and six years old bought and sold for sex.
living among a culture based on sexual exploitation and child prostitution, a passion for justice was stirred within us. how do you love a generation to a better life? how do you develop a new norm, where women are valued and young girls are protected?
