A 100-day mourning period
So does that mean no fucking for 4 months?
I don't think so, or hope so, the article is from 2008 when the king mum died.
Hopefully the period for this monk is shorter (and I believe Thais also will take their economic situation in mind).
Uhm. Will be back in 3 weeks time and hopefully by that time its back to normal business.
Live musicx during the mourning period.
Thank Buddha,
Somebody said there was not supposed to be any live music on display during the mourning period, but last night Bangkok Beat had two live bands-plus the usual large group of freelance companions for rent. One thing I have noticed about Bangkok Beat is that most people in there seem to having fun. Lots of customers in GoGo's seem like they are on a humorless mission to get their ashes hauled, buy having little fun in the process.
It shows that with influence money / financing everything can be back to normal, isn't?
Freelancers: Disco vs street pick-ups
I've seen a lot of talk about FLs or freelancers. It seems like they can be found on the streets and in the discos. From what I've read, the FLs on the street can be a bit riskier for a variety of reasons. Are the street FLs the same girls that one might find trolling the discos or are they two different breeds? I'm sure there's some crossover, but thoughts in general? Sorry if that's a dumb question.
Apologies don't have the time to RTFF
In BKK for a day with my girlfriend. Now she suddenly has the urge to watch these shows wherein there is stripping etc. She also wants to watch a ping pong show or something similar. I have been to Thailand before and always did my homework but this is a little impromptu. Please let me know places which are clean and safe, no hooliganism.
Regards.
