I had rapidly to go to Thailand as I found out one of my all time favorites was back in town after her visit to her family in US. I packed up my things and left Manila yesterday for BKK (leaving out an unknown number of possible meetups but thats life). Arriving in BKK in the eve was uneventful except maby for the taxidrivers meeter which runned faster than I never saw before. When we hit Terminal21 (Centra Point Hotel) his numbers where telling me 714bht so I asked him what did happen? He pretended not to understand and I gave him 600 and walked off (he did actually not say anything and he paid toll as well). Shit happens I guess. Reason for my pic of hotel was ofcourse my meet with ms topnotche sexy / beautiful today and as she hates lower Sukhumvit I better not stay here. Terminal21 is ok by her though as she knows I hate everything Soi Cowboy has to offer like the plague so even if that is just across the street no need for me to go check out this area.

After shower I went down to Soi 11 and met up with a friend of mine at the winebar across from Grand President. The volume of girls and people wandering the streets seemed like before and I did not notice any change or sadness due to the monks death. There is very little difference between street and disco freelancers. While there is a small subset of girls who work street-only or disco-only, countless times I've seen the same girls work various venues at different times (and offer different rates depending on the venue). I had a girl off the street for 1. 5k who charges 5k at CM2. When she can, but business is slow. The street girls are not pimped any more than disco ones (some do have Thai "boyfriends" to support, but that's up to them). They are not necessarily more desperate for business. In fact I presume after paying their own drinks and entry charges, they'd be more pressed to get a decent return.

Regarding dangers, Thai girls are generally safe apart from an occasional drugging. To prevent trouble, never flash valuables (better not even keep over 10k baht in your room, that's what banks are for) , *always* make the girl leave her I'd at the reception (no I'd no business) , and try not to take ones who are obviously ragged (Thais care about their appearance!) , drunk or high on yaba. Not being drunk beyond judgement yourself helps too. It's possible to have bad luck and get a problematic girl at any venue from agogo bars or "high-class" CM2 disco down to the street level.

All this is based in experience (including the occasional drugging part!) , not a "strong opinion" based on bar banter.

You can have the occasional girl working the street, going to the disco one or twice, or vice-versa, but that is not the norm, actually the opposite.

Again: you can have bar-girls, massage giirls, condo-sellers and do-nothing girls go to the disco every single night, but not the hardcore street walker.

Seen it personally in Bangkok, Pattaya, Patong, for many years and I have a special memory for faces and bodies.
