This brings to mind the scene from the Steve Carrel movie "40 Year Old Virgin" where he has his chest hair waxed.

I wouldn't paint all of German society with the same brush. Its not any worse or any better anywhere else.

Some of this is really just fear of the unknown. Most EE women don't see blacks or Arabs or Turks where they come from.

On the other side of the coin, Germans have a lot of contact with Turks (this explains their animosity towards them). So too much contact is not a good thing either.

As I've said before, just one bad experience with a black person, say, and they tend to generalize that they don't want to service blacks.

Your whole ethnic group takes on a bad reputation based on that one bad experience, whatever it might be.

If a club doesn't want to let you in or a woman refuses you service, vote with your feet and your money and take your business elsewhere, its just that simple.

It makes no sense to try to force yourself onto someone who has a predisposition against you, however that predisposition might have been formed.

Part of this "discrimination" is simply the fact that most women don't want to have communication problems with you.

I have a friend from Taiwan who would travel often to Hong Kong. There is discrimination between Cantonese speakers and Mandarin speakers there, he would tell me. This is not anything I was even aware of. He would get in line to buy something at a store but when he would open his mouth, he would be totally ignored.

And we think that discrimination is solely a black versus white thing.

But the same applies to foreigners who butcher the English language. Native English speakers are equally impatient and intolerant with them.

Impressions matter. Position yourself as being well groomed, polite, courteous and funny; in effect, traits women look for in men whether they are professionals or not.

Most clubs have BBBJ as standard.

There aren't many where there is a surcharge for it.

The only ones I can think of are Cocoon and Heavensgate and there the minimum session with as opposed to without might cost a bit more (I can't recall exactly: maybe 5 Euros more for a basic 20 minute session? Something like that)

i agree with jackyo that in general germany is quite liberal in it's relations with foreigners, most foreigners i know feel quite comfortable there. there are exceptions to every rule however and curiously enough, race relations seem to have been actually getting worse in the last few years which is largely due to increased criminal behavior among foreign youth in germany. more and more germans are unhappy with the behavior and increasing numbers of foreigners who completely discrespect the german characteristics described in your post.

[/quote]ee women have more contact with turks than just about any other nationality. there are numerous turks working in all ee countries and ee girls often go to turkey on holiday due to visa-free travel. moreover, there is a lot of prejudice traditionally against turks in russia/ukraine/moldova as seemingly everybody knows somebody who was raped and beaten by turks. whether or not this is true is another question.

nonetheless, if anything the reason ee girls often don't like turks is because they know too much about them already.

having travelled much of ee, especially the russian-speaking areas, turks are the one foreign nationality you are most likely to come across.

My accent is simply horrible, but my grammar is pretty strong. Inside an FKK machts nicht. Most of the ladies are not native speakers either. On the street in Germany, most Germans seem surprised when they hear an American speaking German (no way I can hide I'm an American with my accent). I've had some pretty friendly and pleasant conversation in German with the locals. That said, I rarely use German in a business context as it isn't up to snuff. I'm also not looking for freebees, although it has happened a couple times over the years in Germany.

So I wouldn't get overly hung up on accent if you don't plan on living or doing business in Germany.

I would like to start making hotel reservations and deciding what FKK or Suana clubs to visit and would like some help. FYI, this will be my first trip to Europe and will try to use public transit.

Since I am flying into Amsterdam I was thinking of visiting Ying Yang first, but discovered the hotels in Roemond are very expensive. So staying as flexible as possible I thought I would visit Goldentime first. Then noticing how close a lot of the clubs are in this area I thought of my Big Question.

Is there a city that is close to say, YY and GT, that I could use public transit? Would Venlo be a good choice? Also any suggestions on inexpensive clean hotels is needed.
