Hello to all,

I a currently planning my first trip to Mombasa, and reading through the forum helped me a lot, thank you all for the great reports!

I will most likely stay at Luck apartments for 1 or 2 weeks, still deciding though, since I also have a nice offer for Severin Sea Lodge (150 € for one week)

So, first question would be, if I stay at Lucks, how much money should I plan for food (maybe one meal in a restaurant a day, rest self catering) and drinks per day, if I go out every day to meet some girls, I personal wouldn't drink much since I become just plain stupid when drunk :P?

Second would be regarding the girls, how would they react to a rather direct approach, meaning to show them from the beginning that I am only interested in bringing them back to my place for fun?

Also, I am rather young (28) , could that be a problem?

Mombasa) costs from 400 € up to 600€, depending when you book.

So for that offer, the flight cost was 545 €, and if you book the hotel together for 7 days, the sum was 695 €.

If I book today (flight going on Thursday) , only the flight would be 361 € (I see such a low price for the first time) , and hotel + flight starts from 571 € (6 days) for a double beedroom in Severin.

The prices vary depending on how late you book, the longer you wait, the cheaper it gets.

Mile4444: Luck Appartments was really loud. The entrance guard also admitted that this was not only my problem but many guests had been chased away by the neighbouring restaurant. The owner of Luck knows why he demands the money in advance.

Maybe I give Kerstins (basic but hopefully quiet) a final try or get a reasonable rate at the beach or cancell mombasa as destination. I just returned from Addis and there are also nice places, parcs and terraces comparable to the beach. I make those trips not only for screwing girls but also want to relax and make holiday.

But must of tourist (malaya runners) booking not fly +hotel. In kenya bay hotel. You can not sleep with girl in your room. If you not was sitting in same aircraft (tiketcontrol).

Mombasa is a classical charter destination. This means that the tour operators buy a certain amount of rooms from the hotels in order to sell them on.

If due to lack of business they have a hard time selling their arrangements, they will put them on the market at a low price, since they have to pay the hotels anyway.

So if you go to the website of TUI, you will see that at the moment you can stay in Severin for 154 Euros a week. Nyali Reef 216 Euros and Bamburi Beach hotel is 270 Euros a week.

You just have to be quick, cause offers like these usually don't last long.

Recently finished my first trip to Mombasa. I stayed at Severin Sea Lodge. I'll try post a separate review of the hotel when I get time, but note that while it is a conservative family-oriented resort, it is girl friendly provided that you are somewhat discrete. Just act as if everything is natural and all will be ok, especially if she is dressed conservatively.

1st Night, landed, checked in. Severin bar was full of old german couples and families with children, so I walked down the beach over to Kahama.
