A rare sight. But neither of those girls appeared alert and attentive to any external stimulus other than whatever was rolling around loose in their noggin.

I'm just saying in all the times I have spent walking around Pattaya (and Bkk), along Walking Street at all hours, past the go-go bars and discos, going into many over the years, I cannot recall seeing an Indian man or two walking out with what I would say is a "damn good looking" Thai girl. I see tons of Indian men everywhere in Pattaya, of course, in groups, pairs, sometimes alone. But rarely do I see them actually walking off seemingly to their hotel room with any Thai girls, and never a "damn good looking" one. Not that I recall, that is.

Then again, I guess I have made my point that "damn good looking" Thai girls are rare in Pattaya anyway. But I would say the same thing about Bkk; that I don't recall ever seeing an Indian punter walking out of a Bkk go-go bar, a disco or along the usual FL strolls with a notably attractive Thai girl seemingly on their way to a hotel for ST / LT.

Yep, I would agree that the mob mentality is the issue. Was in Patters a couple of weeks ago and it was not uncommon to see a groups of 5 to 10 Indian guys surrounding one gal. My friend who has been a Pattaya resident for the last 7 years and knocks back at least two gals a day, tells me the gals often complain that groups will often want to take one gal back to the hotel and then line up.

FWIW, there are South Asian regular girls all over. But why go for them in Pattaya or Thailand? WGs are dirt cheap in their home country.

As for the regular South Asian girls, I know a lot are just as horny. You can pick them up as regular girls but you need a little game and separate them from their friends or community. It's sad and unfortunate some members see working girls as emotionless and uneducated, oblivious to everything except getting paid for whatever they can get, anywhere, anytime with whoever. All I can say is in some 20 years of living here this is not my experience.

Maybe it's familiarity? I live in Pattaya so know where and when to go and you live in Bangkok so have an advantage there? Maybe we have completely different taste in girls?

Well, I didn't say I only saw a Bangkok "6" exactly.

I walk down Soi 6, I walk along Beach Road, I go up and down Walking Street, look into go-go bars, scan the go-go bar doorgirls, look into the discos. Actually, I wouldn't limit my observations about notably fewer really attractive girls in Pattaya compared with Bangkok to just the bars and P4P venues (hobbying). I have been hard-pressed to find particularly good looking girls working in places like Central Festival, in the department stores, serving in the restaurants, etc. It makes total sense; why would real head-turners in any job working before the public stay to work in Pattaya rather than go to work in Bangkok, unless family ties kept them there? Which is a pretty rare occurrence in this country.

And by the same token, why wouldn't a girl who can't cut it and successfully compete in Bangkok go to Pattaya and give that location a try? After all, her Pattaya customers will be conveniently separated from her insurmountable competition by a grueling 3-4 hour trip by almost any present mode of transportation.

I would say it is easier to find many better looking girls in Bangkok at the counterparts in Bangkok to what I mentioned in Pattaya; Up and down Sukhumvit, Thermae, discos, Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza, outside the massage shops, the blowjob bars, the shopping malls, restaurants, etc. And the difference in availability of better looking girls is only half the battle. Hell, I have a rather wide range of acceptability when it comes to pure looks. I don't need a stunner every time or even most of the time. Above a "6" would be nice, though. But there is also the issue of Pattaya girls woefully lacking in skills or simply not the least bit interested in applying any. I might be ok with resorting to a "6" if the skills and enthusiasm to apply them are there. But Pattaya has not been the place for me to find that either.

Experienced monger (USA, Mexico, South America) looking at making my first trip to Asia.

I'd be visiting a non-monger friend who lives just outside of Phuket Town. I realize that mongering in Phuket Town will be slim so I'm thinking that I'll spend a few days in Pattaya after I land to get over the jet lag.

I've RTTF and it seems like Pattaya might be a better "first time" destination than BKK simply because it is smaller. I realize that the quality of the girls in Pattaya will be less than that of BKK but I'm ready to deal with that.

Are my thoughts accurate? At least to those of you who can remember their "first time in Asia"?

Some gogo bars updates:

- Hidden agogo looks like it's set to open. I heard Friday or Saturday will be the first day. It's the old Maxim and Marilyn Monroe.

- Mandarin has been temporarily closed and is now under new ownership. It should reopen soon. If you are looking for your favorite Mandarin girl, you may want to check out Bypass. Bypass was packed last night as a result.

- Dolls on Soi 6 seems to have closed down. Looks like they are making a full move to Dolls LK, the former Kaos gogo.

The correct answer most will give you is to try both. Some prefer Bangkok, others prefer Pattaya. Pattaya is more expensive if gogo bars are your thing. Barfines in Pattaya gogo bars are almost double. iBar is way cheaper than the Bangkok discos. Bangkok does not have anything close to a Soi 6. Beer bars are more prevalent in Pattaya. They're literally everywhere. Beach Road is about equivalent to the Nana FL's. I'll give the edge to Nana FL's lookswise but Beach Road is cheaper. Pattaya does not have a place like Thermae or Thaniya Road. Soapies cheaper in Pattaya. No designated oilies area in Pattaya. I don't go to or recommend many of the above. Just listing a comparison for you.

Not sure if Pattaya is physically smaller area wise. I haven't measured but I'm sure the distance from Walking Street to Soi 6 is further than Nana to Soi Cowboy.

As for looks that's subjective. You can be the judge of that. Some guys will be offended by this but imo you need more game in Pattaya than BKK to get the top gogo girls. I see many gogo girls in Pattaya who decline drinks from older Farang so forget about them ever getting to barfine that girl. One girl at Tantra last night looked disgusted when a bald headed Farang in his 50s wanted to buy her a drink. She quickly sucked down about 5 shooters from him and as soon as the drinks ran out she bolted to a young Asian guy, ordering a full size drink.

I have been in both Sensations and What's Up, Bacarra, Crazy House, of course Windmill (not known for lookers, I realize, but at least the girls seem to actually be up for some real GFE sex occasionally), a few others I don't remember the names of now. I didn't go into go-go bars this past weekend because they were closed until possibly midnight Saturday night. By that time on Saturday night I was in my hotel room (just off Walking Street, where we did stroll extensively at other times) having real GFE sex with my dating site girl. So these latest observations are based on my 4-5 previous trips to Pattaya over the past 5 years.

But it is almost impossible to walk around Pattaya and NOT see what level of looks dominates the place and how rare really tops good looking girls are. And the overwhelming dominant ethnic and age demographics of the punters the girls who land or take refuge in Pattaya must contend with. Not to mention that where lazy, under performing girls in Bangkok can count on most of their customers being tourists whose transiency allows them leeway to under perform without consequence, along with little incentive to try to turn one into a multi-repeat customer, Pattaya is that transient tourist's 2-3 night side trip that provides at least twice the leeway for under performers to "get away with it" and not even try to inspire a repeat. I would not be surprised if that leverage to under perform as SOP under the circumstances and in that environment is one of the reasons many girls avoid Bangkok and go to find work in Pattaya instead.

Now, if you have focused on a relatively unknown or little mentioned go-go bar or two where, if the planets are lined up just right and you follow the latest buzz on what is hot this moment, that is where the really impressively hot Pattaya girls are hiding, great. Maybe that is also where all those Indian guys can be seen taking damn good looking Thai girls for ST/LT if you know where to go at just the right time. But they must be taking them to rooms on the nearly secret go-go bar's premises, because I honestly cannot recall a sighting of such a thing out in public in any of the half dozen or so trips I've taken to Pattaya in the past few years. Or, to be fair, in Bangkok either for that matter.

Mind you, I used to much, much prefer Pattaya over Bangkok for the girls. That was 20-25 years ago when I would spend 4-5 weeks in Thailand every year for 5-6 years in a row, almost all of that time in Pattaya and only the last and sometimes my first night in Bangkok instead of Pattaya due to flight arrival and departure times. But the reverse has been the case since I moved to Thailand about 6 years ago.

btw, regarding go-go bar doorgirls, if the trend in Pattaya is to employ and feature girls far less attractive than what can be found inside the bar to entice customers into those bars, I must say that is not what my experience has been regarding doorgirls in Bangkok. And I'm not sure why a go-go bar would do such a thing. I mean, it seems to me the goal (or unavoidable outcome, perhaps) is to feature doorgirls out front who are locals so good-looking they don't even need to work P4P and won't barfine because they already have enough sponsors and boyfriends to take care of them, i.e. Coyotes, no?

I would say a single stroll down Soi Cowboy, Bangkok, on one night and Walking Street, Pattaya, on another night would be enough to tell anyone with normal vision what available pool of good-looking girls each location has to draw from in order to hire and feature such girls. And, imho, most of the doorgirls in Pattaya would have serious trouble getting barfined even once over the course of a month in some of the least popular go-go bars in Bangkok. Just sayin'.

Walking on Beach Road from soi6 untill the WS entry are 2,1 km. Walking from Nana Plaza to soi Cowboy along the Sukhumvit Road are 1,2 km.
