2. Prices seem pretty stable whatever the time of year. Travel to Thailand and hotel accommodation is more expensive in the tourist high season November till February. Most tourists have no impact on the sex scene however.

3. Pattaya is indeed cheaper than Bangkok, but the difference is not that big. Let's say that in Pattaya there is easier access to cheaper sex. A girl from Beach Road can be as cheap as 500 baht. It will be difficult to find that in Bangkok. But you get the (lack of) quality you pay for.

10 days in Thailand is not long. If you are only interested in the carnal pleasures of Thailand, by all means go to Pattaya the full 10 days. You will not be disappointed. But there is not much to see and do in Pattaya, other than that. In about 4 or 5 days you will have seen all other sights (Beach, temples, shopping malls, floating market, Mini-Siam, crocodile farm,.). Bangkok of course offers lots more.

4. I budget about 3000 baht per day just for adult entertainment (but I do not drink any alcohol, so that cuts the costs somewhat) and most of the time I aim for one LT meeting every other day and perhaps a massage with happy ending in the days I have no LT meeting.

At best here there are indications of excessive charges, at worst some pay them. At best there are some who have read posts on here, walk away from outrageous charges, at worst, even some pay them.

So the more information on what members pay that is posted on here the better. But not if it provokes the usual storm of accusations of 'ruining the market' and 'you overpaid. '

coming back to bkk for first time in a few years.

i have always preferred nana to cowboy, with rainbow 4 being a necessary first stop, and only then (if still alone) moving on to other bars.

just curious what the lay of the land is now, in a nutshell. i mean, does rb4 still have the most of any bar there, and more or less the cream of the young and or hot ones? i don't have much time, so my preference is usually for as close to 18/19 as possible, just because that is something i can get in bkk that i can't get where i usually am. the risk of starfish isn't something that's a big issue for me. what are some other bars that are pretty good now? last tiime i was there, baccara was best at cowboy, with tilac and shark also pretty good, but not quite on par with rainbow at nana.

and i see below there are quotes of 7000 baht happening? wtf?

what are barfines these days? when i was there last 2000 was a fairly typical st price at nana, maybe 1500 on the low end. they'd quote 3000 for lt that would really turn into a st once in your room, god i hate that.

i've always been curious to take a peek at sapphan kwai, wonder if anyone has tried that out, and could speak to its quality compared to nana and cowboy.

is that disco under ambassador hotel still a pickup spot for fl? that option is a bit too difficult for my taste but could be a backup plan.

During low season some places are understaffed. Many of the workers like to take long holidays when business is slow.

Right now in Bangkok I see evidence of high season starting. Places I visit are busier than normal. I was at Som's Haven a couple weeks ago and practically every girl was busy and it was only 2:30pm. New massage parlors are opening. Recently a new shop named Analisa opened on Suk. 22. Today on the ISG BKK massage parlor forum I found out some former Mango girls are opening a massage business named "Bamboo Massage". (Cute name, since "Bam" and "Bo" are founders.) November is a good time to be in Bangkok.

2. Just split it in half. Go to Pattaya first. Hotel prices are generally cheaper in Pattaya. And so are the women. But as Wolvenacht said you may like the quality better in BKK. That's up to you.

There are always 4 or 5 stunners on the right hand side bar stage as you enter, but I think the competition is heating up in Nana. The other Rainbow bars are definitely worth a look see. I favorite girl of mine and a stunner as well now works in Rainbow 1. I also recommend that you check out Mandarin and Billboard. I think you will find some very friendly girls there.

That said, I am surprised that you write the starfish risk is not a big issue for you because that is precisely what turns me off about Rainbow 4. In fact it is because of this attitude so common among many of the RB4 girls, that I have altered my hunting methods when it comes to them. I won't barfine a RB4 girl the first time I meet her. Instead I will buy her a drink, get to know her a little, and equally importantly, let her get to know me a little bit and understand that I am aware of and not into the ST hustle: the 'I want to get back to the bar and find another customer' BS mentality that is too common amongst RB4 girls. On a 2nd or 3rd visit to RB4, If the girl I am interested in remembers me and seems happy to see me, then and only then will I barfine her. So RB4 is a 2 step barfine process for me. As a result I have had some great sessions with a couple of really good looking girls there. My screening process has also resulted in my barfining a lot less girls out of RB4 than I otherwise would have barfined. I am ok with that because I consider a starfish session or a rushed get back to the bar session a waste of my time and money no matter how beautiful the girl is.

Of course I have the semi luxury of time on my side because I usually spend 3 weeks in BKK per trip and I already know a few really great girls from past trips. If a punter was on a short time constraint in BKK or didn't know any girls, I would advise that he forget about RB4 and go to Cowboy (Baccara, Suzi Wong, Crazy House, and Shark). On a looks basis only comparison between Rainbow 4 and Baccara, I would say the top 4 or 5 most attractive Go Go girls are in RB4, and then the next 20 best looking girls are in Baccara. So Baccara has more acceptable / barfine able attractive girls than RB4, but RB4 has the top 5 girls IMHO. I never had a starfish experience with a Baccara girl or with any Soi Cowboy girl for that matter. Maybe I am just lucky or maybe it is just that I am so damn good looking. 555. Prices in Cowboy and Nana have been holding steady for the last 9 months or so. 600bt barfine and 2000bt ST/3000bt LT seems to be the current price.

I highly recommend the Saphan Kwai bar scene to experienced BKK punters who want to have a different barhop kind of experience from the usual Nana / Cowboy same same every night. Not that there is anything wrong with Nana and Cowboy. It's great and I love it, but Saphan Kwai is old school and seems like time travelling back 20 to 30 years distance from the glitzy Sukhumvit scene we have today. Most of the customers are Thai, but I also spotted some Japanese customers too.

There are about 10 bars in Saphan Kwai all around the Suda Palace Hotel. I have checked out Music VDO, TDED 99, For You and RCA 2. They all had possibilities so YMMV on any given night. I liked T DED 99 and Music VDO bar best. T DED 99 is very large. It looked like they had at least 50 girls consisting of strippers and hostess girls. Many of the girls were very attractive and young. Until you learn your way around, I suggest you hang out in one of these popular bars with plenty of other customers around. Avoid the bars with few customers.

Ok, so you enter a particular establishment. You can look around and decide if you want to stay. If you decide to stay, they seat you in a booth. You can order beer (only large bottles available with a bucket of ice but at a very good price) or a bottle of whiskey if you are in a group of 3 or 4. You can also order food. Then the mamasans or papasans will bring girls around. If you like a girl you can invite her to sit with you. If you spot a different girl you like, you can ask the mama to bring her by and introduce her. There is a sitting fee of 80bt per girl for every 30 minutes. There are no lady drinks. So there you are, sitting with a nice girl, watching the show (some nudity) , drinking your beer, and maybe eating a little Thai food. The girls are nice. I had a little hanky panky going on under the table with my girl. The mamasan spoke enough English to communicate with. My girl spoke a bare minimum of English, but she smiled a lot and that made up for our lack of verbal communication. I liked her. After an hour or so, I felt like having a Boom Boom. I called the mama over and we conducted our business. First I had my offer conveyed to my girl and she responded favorably to my invitation. Prices are all inclusive of barfine + hotel across the street and payable up front to the mama. ST is 1800bt and LT is 2800bt. The session was a lot of fun. No PSE or anything, but nice. Added to my pleasure was the risqué element of doing this young girl in a ST Saphan Kwai Hotel. The feeling kind of reminded me of my first shags in BKK back in the 80's. It was definitely worth my time and money and yes I will go back again.

The mongering high season is the tourist low season.

That is when mongers have a higher ratio of girls available to themselves due to relatively lower number of punters which therefore equates to less competition than in the tourist high season.

On that basis I prefer & suggest coming in the low visitor season, not November through March. May & June may be the best.

Shocking to say the least! Security in Bangkok go-go's are low class crims loaded on apmhetamines. If challenged at any point just shut up, smile, turn and walk away. Don't even try to reason or argue.

Your skin could be as white as the driven snow but they still hate you (although they will tolerate you, just). I have seen a guy sucker punched and then kicked in the face once he was down. And no he was not brown, but a white Brit. This put me off Nana for a while (back in 2005).

Bouncers in Bali are no better, but I reckon they need to be that way to control those completely uncouth Aussie teens. Witnessed some extreme punch ups that would put anyone off mongering for a while.

This is almost [B]never[/B] The case these days unless you specifically negotiate it.

BTW, specifying two shots in advance (and getting the girl to agree) is a great way of weeding out the ones who are looking to turn over a customer and be out as fast as possible. They'll disqualify themselves so you don't have to waste time and money. Agreeing explicitly in advance is better than leaving it unsaid since a large class of girls would stay if necessary, but normally leave after a single shot.

Sadly, the times of the old-style 2h "short time" where many girls would hang around until you asked them to leave are long, long gone.

Can't comment on Saphan Kwai specifically (last time I've been there is many years ago), but generally, service quality in the Thai-oriented segment of the industry is lower than in the Farang-oriented one, it's good to adjust expectations accordingly.
