Is there any scene in Muang Mae Hong Son?
Visit there several times and go around the city, a quiet city and could not find anything.
But I hear some guys said that there are some scenes in Mae Hong Son and Mae Sariang. Can you fellow guys give my tips?

Don't get a tuk tuk if relying on the driver to take you to any adult entertainment venues.
The tuk tuk drivers receive commissions from certain hotels and adult establishments for bringing them customers, the commissions are then discretely added to the customers' bills.

Its not like there are flashing neon signs over the doors or girls pulling you in off the street.

Indeed. In my experience, when it comes to finding pfp venues, local transport guys are not nearly as helpful as one would expect them to be. Sometimes, they don't know all the venues (not everyone is a monger), and more often, they don't want to show all the good ones (that is, low cost ones) to you, since they might not get the commission. Moreover, once you get charged the inflated price with commission, it would be difficult to get a proper price on a later visit, even if you come alone.
Much better to have directions or coordinates of the venue, and if you need transport, take it to somewhere nearby, then negotiate on your own.
This is my first time in Thailand and my first time in Chiang Mai. After reading the site thailandredcat for soapy massage, undecided to head over the Sayuri. There were three classes of girls. Just numbers for B2400, girls with name tags that started with M for B2600 and lastly the prettiest ones with name tags starting with SL for B3000. Service lasts for an hour. I liked couple of girls in the M section and the SL. However, I was too late to act and lost them. To add to the disappointment, they also left after their sessions. Didn't like anyone else so decided to go to Celeb CNX as that was touted as brand new massage parlor with modern rooms.
When I got there at 8 pm, it was dead empty. The rates here were significantly different. Two tiers of girls. The ones on the right, when facing the fish bowl, were B1600 and the ones to the left were B1900. Papasan told me I should go with #42 (B1600). I told him I like slim women with at least a BB. He said she has big boobs and she provides good service. [B]An utter lie![/B]. She had an A cup, thanks to her massively padded bra and her service was atrocious. As mechanical as it gets! I was upset enough that I didn't even bother kissing. Her blow job was covered and lasted for 2 minutes. The only thing she did well was bathing me.
Don't ever go to this place guys. Bunch of liars.
Also, where did I go wrong? Celeb seems to be quite popular. Is it because I chose a B1600 girl? Should I not listen to Papasan touting a girl? I was actually interested in a B1900 girl with big boobs but he told me she has silicone and steered me to #42.
Any tips on navigating the soapy scene will be appreciated.

Of course you should not listen to papasans / mamasans, unless you're a regular. You're a tourist monger he sees for the first time and will likely never see again, you're not paying him after the act, so why would he make a good recommendation? He does, however, have a strong incentive to first make sure you actually pick someone rather than just leaving (and say whatever it takes to get there), and as second priority make sure all girls get their turn.
If anything, a typical papasan has every reason to steer you towards less popular girls, meaning uglier and with less good service, thus fewer regulars. In the bars, they also insert themselves into a price negotiation to make the price higher and get their cut, it always works out higher than the minimum price the girl would be willing to give. If you aren't friends with them, do the exact [I]opposite[/I] of what they say.

The now Celeb, is run by or used to be run by the same mob that used to run the soapy massage at the Chiang Mai 2000 hotel in the Nimmon area a few years back.
The Papasan was a nice guy, had a wooden leg and as I can speak some reasonable Thai, would haggle down to the Thai price of 900 baht, but the prices you have mentioned have now reached ridiculous levels. They really have got greedy.
The whole deal is totally mechanical, involving lots of tissues, fast and furious. It's simply not value for the money and the girls are not trained in customer satisfaction. So I got bored and haven't visited any of those places for the last 3 years.
You did not go wrong at all, it's become hit and miss and pot luck if you get a good one or not.
The CM monger scene is shite, and there is nothing good on offer.

Appreciate your feedback. OK, I'll ignore CM for mongering. My next stop is Bangkok. Any advice on the mongering scene there? I have three nights there and will be staying near Asoke. I've read all that I can about BKK. Frankly, I feel a bit overwhelmed with the various options and not clear which one will yield good value for money. For instance, are soapy massage parlors there also a rip off? Between freelancers, beer bar girls and gogo girls, are the freelancers better for a noob like me? I have visited Mae Hong Son for 2 times and tried to find out the scene.
I found three local karaokes in Mae Hong Son. Two are just next to the B2 hotel and another is near the bus station.
I have tried the karaoke on the right side of B2hotel but all were granny inside.
The one near bus station I saw some Thai guys inside, didn't go in.
I think there must be some curtain hotel around the town and want to get some tips.

And the price is 1400,1600,1900 (if you can speak a little Thai).
The price 2400,2600,3000 is for farang tourists who don't know about the price.
Most of the girls in soapy have some miles. Don't expect that you can get very excellent service unless you are Lucky enough.
No need to pay tips, not worth it.

But as a stranger to Mae Hong Son, we don't know any directions or coordinates there. We must rely on a tuk tuk to help us find out the directions.
You can go with a tuk tuk at the first time and do not get any girls that day. And then go back yourself the next day.
My review:
With today's modern technology, even women offering sexual services are now taking their business online.
For example, it's s much simpler, like ordering a takeaway meal from a restaurant online. There are no middle people involved if the girls are freelance, and for the customers, no need to visit beerbars and for guys to buy drinks, pay bar fines, especially for guys like me who due to stomach problems can't drink and not into the bar scene and bored with the mechanical so-called B2B parlours and soapies with hyped up prices or the ridiculous prices charged if hiring girls from escort agencies and most of those girls are not based in Chiang Mai. Have to order one up from Bangkok. Also, the Chiang Mai sections of online dating sites such as Thai Friendly have virtually no girls outright offering sexual services and it all becomes a big hassle, time-consuming and maybe lots of messaging back and forth to discover if a girl is up for it or not.
As regarding the Dek sideline girls, these services are mostly reserved for Thais, and unless able to speak, read and type in fluent Thai, then there is little chance or being able to communicate with those girls. Also, machine translations are not much use because many of the girls use Thai slang words that do not translate.
This is not the case in other areas of Thailand, from Bangkok and Pattaya where girls are openly advertising exactly what they're offering, including on craigslist and Thai Friendly. In-fact freelance girls are in abundance on the Bangkok, Pattaya and other sections of craigslist, but once clicking on the Chiang Mai sections on craigslist the hot girls disappear and are replaced by ladyboys, gay old perverts and weirdos.
There is a new website called, S*uT. Zone, that has replaced the site, Backpage, with loads of hot girls but does not cover Chiang Mai.
So now in this technological age of the 21st century where many transactions are taking place online these days, it seems Chiang Mai has been left out in the cold. I would much rather be able to answer an ad placed by girls and be able to negotiate a price, a time and what I want than visit a mechanical B2B where the prices are set and what the girls do are set with strict time limitations.
I have no idea why there are virtually no freelance girls online in Chiang Mai that cater for Farangs as there are in other areas of Thailand and why in my opinion the Chiang Mai monger scene has become so limited and for what there is, is very expensive and a lot of effort needs to be placed into it that may lead nowhere.
Whether or not this will change in the future and the sexual encounter websites will stop giving Chiang Mai a miss, I'm not sure, but I am sure this is the crux of the matter that has turned the CM monger scene to crap.

But I think you can tell a lot about someone by the first eye contact and if they smile, etc. I would also suggest asking the guy upstairs which girl will give good service and be friendly with him.
