Heading to Bogota in a few weeks. The site has been very helpful, Thanks to all those guys who have contributed and have spent the time to write reports. I've been to Medellin several times Mansion trips-no need to report in detail since there is a wealth of info on that place and all I can say is that all reports are accurate. Its a great place to visit and meet new people and the staff is great but after a while it gets a bit much, in my opinion, as far as competition among the mongerers. When guys are sitting on the front steps waiting to get 1st crack at the girls it starts to wear on you."at least let me see them before they get in your room". I was wondering if anyone's put together a quick guide on Bogata for a newbie. I've been to Cartagena and there are some great lists I've found here to help make those trips incredible, but I haven't seen one for Bogata. Something that helps me plan for a great night with amazing chicas without risking my life.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated. I've had the honor of meeting and partying with Hilltopper in CTG, but this is a new area for me.

My novia was running a little late and so it was the perfect opportunity to do a little shopping there. Prices are $ 4, 000 for 4 generic V's I pay $ 20 USD each here in the states so I bought 15 boxes LOL. Lady looked at me kinda crazy LOL This was a novia trip and stayed at various hotels during my trip. Here are a few I can recommend.

Girardot- Hotel Zamba. Nice Clean and safe. No hot water, won't need it. It is hotter than shit there. City is not safe IMO. I never really felt safe there and always watched my back. Would recommend Hotel El Republicano.

Ibague- Great city nice people, lots of girls, easy for Non pro hook ups. Hotels I recommend are Hotel Acandi in the central part of the city. I think that is the main part of town. Lots of hotels on that strip all around 70k for 2 people. Clubs in that city are in the area near the Citibank. And there is a place called plaza Garibaldi Mexican mariachi place, good drinks and Tequila.

Armenia- Again lots of girls all over the place. Easy for non pro hookups. Good food easy to get a round and safe for the most part. Stay away from the streets that are not well lit. Also if you exchange at the money places make sure you do not then go into an unlit area. As thieves are waiting for you to go into places where they can find you alone. I noticed this a couple of times and just pissed me the fuck off that they saw me as a target. I wish I could just go at it 1 on 1 but being in a foreign country you have no rights like we do here. Just be careful.

Hotels- there are plenty in the centro area. But I noticed a few Americans at the Parque de Cafe. I can easily recommend that if you are there as you are finishing your day there at the park and on your way to the exit. There is a booth with a hot little Colombian there renting rooms at the Fincas. Those fincas are a really great deal. Extremely nice and comfortable free breakfast pool, exercise area bedrooms are really clean. Safe! There is one which I think is the best one it is Green and Yellow. Cost about 90k for 2 people. Best finca I can recommend. If you need more info just PM me be glad to help people out with as much info as I can.

The Avianca flight from Miami arrived right on time in Bogota around 7:30. Some people complain about Avianca, but I have always have had the best flights and have met single women each time. I was seated in the emergency row whcih meant great leg room. I passed on the food since I had a great lunch in Miami and settled for a few free glasses of Johnny Walker.

Once you study the map of Bogota, it becomes easy to figure out where you are. Carreras run north and south and start closest to the mountains and the numbers get higher as you move away from the mountains. Calles run east and west (mostly, some wind around) with the low numbers starting in the south.

By the time I got to the Hotel Dann Carlton located north of Zona Rosa (Cra 15 at Calle 104) it was past 9:00 pm. The room was a King for myself and wife with a sofa bed for my son (wife's son). Flat screen TV with the usual Spanish and a few English speaking channels. Room had a safe, hot water (usual for Bogota, but not Cartagena) , and had an air condition unit for when you closed the window. The hotel offers a free breaksfast buffet with all types of fruit, bread, cheeses, juices, ham, eggs, and each day a different hot meat selection. Also, there is a spa and workout center on the Penthouse floor, a bar area where they had a duo singing each night, free computer access, and one of the cutest front desk receptionist I have ever seen. She was easily embarrassed when I flirted with her in front of the male desk clerks. I would have rented an apartment, but none were available that would be able to sleep three. The hotel cost me $105 a night which is not much more than one of Juan's apartments in Cartagena. I did book through a deal on the internet.

The location of the hotel is on Carrera 15 just catty-corner from the Mezzanine massage places. Later on this would be very convenient for me. A large mall, Unicentral, is a twenty minute walk north on 15. The mall has a food court on level three with Mexican, steak, Italian, a Subway. McDonald's and El Corral are located elsewhere in the mall along with a Juan Valdez, Cinnabon, and Dunkin Donuts. To the south past Calle 85 at Carrear 15 is the Zona Rosa night club / restaurant scene. Here you can find a Hard Rock Cafe, numerous Bogota Beer Company restaurants, and even Hooters. My wife arrived on Sunday morning and we immediately took our 13 year old to Hooters for wings. My wife misses the "Chickees Hot" as she calls them, and he wanted to check out the girls.
