I know some of you guys have few novias in the DR. So I wondering is there a away I can make free unlimited international calls to the D. R. From states for free. I'm trying to make unlimited international call to the DR from my iphone.

Thanks in advanced[/QUOTE]Some of the telephone companies (Boost, Metro) have special plans by which you pay $10 per month for unlimited calls to the DR, but only to house phones. There are extra charges for calls made to cell phones, because the cell phone companies in the DR get a cut.
Of course if the person at the other end has a wi-fi capable phone and access to wi-fi (some restaurants have it) , you might be able to make calls without a phone call charge. Also, if the person at the other end has an Internet enabled computer and a Skype account, you can Skype them for free. You can use an Internet cafe in the DR for 60 pesos per hour, so that would be the cost of making video calls.

You can also register 1 cellphone # "yours" and call a local number and enter your pin. Make the same calls to land lines and cellphones at no charge using your existing vonage account. With taxes and all the other bullshit it comes out to about $70 flat a month.

From the Bus terminal to Sosua is 3. 5 to 4. 5 hours including stops in Santiago. Fewer stops with Metro. Caribe tours lets you off in Charamicos on the road, Metro in Sosua El Batey closer to where you are going. If you have never done it and you have any interest in travel per se it's an interesting bus trip that shows you a slice of the country and embeds you with regular dominican travelers. Modern buses with chilly AC. Watch your stowed luggage. By comparison taking a taxi from SD to Sosua would cost you more than 10x as much with marginal time savings. If you aren't severely pressed for time with a high budget take the bus.

I am thinking of flying into Santa Domingo for a few days and then traveling to Black Beards. How do I travel from Santa Domingo to Black Beards. Is there a bus or taxi service if so what would the cost be. Also how do I travel from Sousa back to Santa Domingo and what would the cost be.

The buses are fast and comfortable (though some find the aircon a little too chilly). They are Metro and Caribe Tours. Not much difference between them. Which one you take will probably depend on at what time you want to travel and which has the nearer terminus. I think it costs about 350 pesos one way (less than US$10). The trip takes about 4 hours so leave early enough to arrive in daylight.
If you have just a backpack, ask the driver to stop at the entrance road to Costambar and catch a motoconcho (motor-cycle taxi) to Blackbeards (60 pesos). If you have more baggage or are nervous of riding the motoconchos (and who could blame you?) then stay with the bus as far as the Pto Pta bus station and take a taxi back to Costambar and Blackbeards (about 350 pesos).
It's simpler coming back from Sosúa. (You are aware that Blackbeards is about 25 miles from Sosúa, right?). You can board the bus for Santo Domingo at either the Metro terminus in El Batey or the Caribe terminus in Los Charamicos. Cost about 400 pesos.
My Brothers, I have a very strict rule about posting photos of women that I get in contact with. Normally if a woman doesn't ask me for money I will not put her pics on the net. But once she does ask me for money, that means she is open game. The reason for all of this is because I am a member of Tagged (dot) com. This is where you meet pros & non-pros online. I do this to set up my meetings in advance, just like facebook but easier. Well I met this woman a week ago and we chatted a bit online. But the other day she said she had a problem and needed 100 dollars to correct the problem. Now I never met this woman in person, so right away I was pissed that she went there. So I played along and said if you send me a photo of you without cloths on I would send the money via Western Union. When she sent the first photo, I was surprised. So I said, I know you will be asking me for more money in the future. So let's stop playing games. So I asked her how much she really needed. She said she needed 500 dollars. Now remember this is a lady I only met on the internet and only for less than a week. So I said I will send the money if you give me some spread shots. Once again she sent the photos. After I received all the photos, I blocked her from contacting me. I felt bad for about 5 seconds, then I remember one thing. She must have thought I was stupid to be sending her money in the first place. So now she is on my wall of fame. Here are the photos brothers. I didn't keep track of how long it took. I guess it took about 4 hours and 15 minutes. It was 330 pesos. No need to show up an hour early like I did. They did let some locals stop at the the side of the road a few times. I remember a guy about 16 or 17 years old wearing a pink Barbie Dolls backpack on the bus only travel about 20 minutes. I guess his family could only give him a hand me down Barbie Doll backpack, or it's cool or something. I had a suitcase and a backpack, so the mini-van taxi said 200 pesos to go to the New Garden. That sounded OK with me. I could have shared a taxi with some very white people that I think were Russian, but we couldn't understand each other. I guess we ended up within a block from each other. Now if they can't speak English or Spanish, they are kind of screwed here.
