Propina is king in Sosua. It won't make you a real friend, but it can make you a temporary one, (closest you'll get).
Some of you out there might not be aware, but putas are ripped off by johns all the time.
.
Come on man. I was with you until this. What do we have to ripped off. Ain't her viginity.
She come to your room with nothing but pussy. She leaves with it every time. I have Never heard a guy screwing over a chica. A puta with try you. Point blank. You can be a international Vet that's fluent in Spanish. A puta will try you. Its their culture when dealing with foreigner. Try to get over.
In the Sue last month. Gloria the chica I had 3 yr ago for my birthday present. She did her job but it was agreed all night. She faked stating her kids. I gave her the agreed 2000 and she started begging for more. I told her I was going to tell all my friends and ever speak to me again. She apologized but we ever repeated. I seen her maybe 20 more times. We speak but never repeated. I introduced her to my Boi. She became apart of his rotation. That was until last trip. She tried him begging (really begging) for more money after the section. The was so upset because he gave her 3500 pesos and she still tried him. Now her has lost both of us.
Sorry Oakie, is that condescending or, do you mean to say that the intellectual heft of the "johns" are much higher? LOL. Granted the Johns have, in this case, more money compared to a third world island resident, at the lower end of the economic ladder but isn't it more like, "there but for the grace of God, go I"?
Just as they say, "keepin' it real".
They are hookers and we, who need their sexual favors, are johns / tricks.
When a john / trick degrades a hooker, he degrades himself.
If he expects a bar hooker to keep promises, or even show up on time like his girlfriend back home, well. .

If you ever get to know a regular hooker well, maybe for the price of a Corona, she and her girlfriends will you regale you with tales, that will curl you hair. I know families there and have sadly seen the young ones graduate into the street life.
They are routinely abused and ripped off by local pimps and boyfriends, ripped off by so called girlfriends, bar staff and doormen, cops, taxi drivers, and the aforementioned drunk, newbie, asshole (or all three) mongers. Even normal guys that promise everything, and never show up. He was going to take her to a villa, so she borrowed money, fixed her hair and nails, bought a dress, came a long way on the bus, and he never showed. That's routine. Money is their only way out so you can see why they chase it zealously.
I would imagine, that most guys here sharing advice are cool and know how it works, maybe your buddies are cool too, (like I am) but you can't speak for all the guys that come through that airport, or even some who have posted stuff on this board.

Hey gents,
I'm a newbie to DR but been in the Rio scene. I wanted to know is If the pros and non pros are keen on "rear entry" and if so what's the proper way to ask?

I have a few times been reluctantly placed in the Captain save a ho position, when we'd have to go to Cabarette to pick up a "cousin", who was left by the side of the street, or comforting a destitute out of town "cousin" who had been ripped off, and giving her a slice of pizza, and bus fare to get back home.
As for the idea that Dominican hotel staff (all "cousins", including the maids) who's entire livelihood depends on the business of prostitution, have a higher opinion of weekend gringo johns and tricks, than their fellow Dominicanas who are, yes, actually raising their babies, and sending money back to the barrio, well, that's not how life works in the real world :)
It's a sordid world in Sosua, and that's why I like having a regular from out of town, but who's family and friends all work in Sosua.
Not only does it guarantee good sex within your budget, over the years you can get to share the disappointments and the celebrations in their lives, and get to understand how it all works.
Highly recommended. Even more so, these days.
Dominicans are all cousins and mongers are all bros. Blood is thicker than water!
If I leave it a few months between visits the first couple days are always interesting. The same people are now doing different jobs, laundry workers, concho drivers now with taxis, massage parlor workers, hotel cleaners and waiters, same folks always, different jobs.
The funniest one for me is the chica who works at N.Y. Pizza on the corner. 5 years ago she was working at the same spot, then called the Happy Bar, who would jump over the bar counter to get me on the dance floor as soon as I came in, and even before I could get a beer. Still the great chica, with the great smile, but now with a pristine white uniform.
But as you say, they are all connected by friends or family, and rely on each other for help in times of crisis.

.
I will be the last person to disagree with this statement. I'm pretty sure a lot of chicas have seen a lot of messed-up situation. Living the lifestyle of dealing with strangers from all areas of the globe or P4 P. However, the correlation of chicas running game, stealing, lying, rushing and / or faking on a Foreigner vs us getting over on them is an extreme large margin. Sort of like a male filing sexual harassment charges against his female boss. I will admit I'm not a pencil pushing analyst. Most of my experience comes from the field. In a lot of cases everyone is against the Gringo. Everyone wants his money and they are secure because they are in their country on their turf. When I am in Boca Chica or the Sue, I see many hit squads. Groups of chica looking to take advantage of whomever they can deceive. Their primary target you guessed it Gringos

Think that might have any effect on tourism? I'd be the first to bail out.
And, it hasn't yet made the Sosua Book of Rules, at least ahead of "Always Use the Room Safe" or behind "Beware of Using Credit Cards.
Nah, Sosua and Boca are as safe as McDonalds if you use a little common sense.

I did say you have to use common sense.
At least enough to select a trusted restaurant, over some dark clip joint, or some place off the beaten track where you follow a tout. Without common sense you can guarantee you will be paying more than you bargained for.
The selection process for putas is like that.
