Thanks to this forum, I was able to use the seaplane to and from Manila. What a timesaver and a pleasant way to travel! Manila to Puerto Galera via AirTrav, 7000 php. Puerto Galera to Manila via Air Juan 6000 php. Reserved on their website, using credit card, was seamless. Flying back to Manila, we could see the SLEX traffic below heading north, absolutely jam packed. Couldn't help thinking: suckers! The AirTrav plane was newer but the service was the same on both airlines, 10/10 rating for both.

Rented a bike for 300 php and had a blast exploring. Rate is good from 8 am-6 m. This is a definite must-do. Google the sites to see and away you go.

Took a FL from Big Apple, 1000 php. She was 35, a bit crazy but got the job done. The next day she wanted to see me again and stood outside my room at the Big Apple banging on the door, begging to come in. Nuts. Never barfined anybody, but visited almost all of the bars. Had to pay a guy 50 php upon arrival at the pier in Sabang. In hindsight, I think it was a scam. It was apparently for an Environmental Fee and he gave me a little colored piece of paper for proof. Can anybody confirm this?

The area to go here for girls is called Bogtong. Just ask any tricycle driver to take you to Bogtong. If they say where in Bogtong, just say the bar. From what I saw it is comprised of 3 main places (could have been 1 or 2 more), 2 bars and 1 big disco place with a stage. I don't have the names, but took a girl from the first bar that has a red interior. I was early (8 pm) and they were saying that around 9-10 more girls come. 1500 barfine (paid at the bar) for a 28 yo slim mother of 2. She told me that the bar keeps 500 and she gets 1000. Re Seaplanes. Where do they land and did you get a trike to Sabang. How was the road. Heard they are repairing it and esp in wet weather can be impassable.

Heard prices have increased in bars was 3000 - any updates. Heard gone up to 4000.

How bad is the smell. Usually stay at Montani down about 80 m from pier. You said sewerage drains out onto sand. Is this near pier. Did you go to Big La laguna beach? Any sewerage there. Last time could swim and snorkel off small sandy beach here.

Use to go to Sabang for diving and "recreational activities" but seems it is slowly pricing itself and smelling itself out of my plans.

Air Juan lands on the sandbar and all you need is a tricycle to Sabang for 200 (Road is ok, is under construction down to 1 lane at times but never had an issue. AirTrav lands on an island nearby and I took a boat to Sabang, no land transpo required.

The smell was near Big Apple and in the opposite direction of Montani that I noticed it. When walking on the beach near those pipes at mid to low tide, the smell is disgusting. At Big Laguna beach and White beach, all seemed ok, I was just talking about the beach in Sabang.
