I have lived and worked with 100s of filipinas (in an area where 90% of the workforce are women) for the past 13 years and I agree wholeheartedly with the observation.
The crude and crass "offers" to every girl they meet made by itinerant mongers who don't have time for any subtle courtship lines simply makes the classy pinays very suspicious of the motives of most foreigners towards filipinas. I have to break down these "prejudices" before I can get to first base.

Nevertheless, Amavida makes a good point too. Once the non-hooker, pretty, self-sustained pinay realises you are actually courteous, professional and well-educated they too become hunters, especially if some other guy (local or foreign) has not treated them well previously. They become seekers of pleasure too, but rarely without knowing a fair bit about you first.

Maybe 50-60 years ago all the people worried was how to fill their belly.
Nowadays the aspirations and expectations has changed.
Phi in perticular is overburdened with bad economy and overpopulation. Forget about teeming cities, even small towns and countryside are full of people. Naturally irrespective of educated or not there are no employment opportunities. Even the jobs they get are on contract basis.
So naturally most of these girls try to hook of with foreign sponsors to get a steady income. Having sex means nothing to them.
As for the sponsors, they are all longing for steady Gf when they visit after getting tired of easy sex from bargirls and such. But to each his own. It is immaterial whether the girls fool around behind his back. These days it is impossible to trust anybody in any country.

I can only say from my experience and observations....some or most depending upon the industry they work in have back a up plan...you may be 1,2 or 3..who ever gets to her first..she will go with him.

Filipinas don't think that deep, they move on or glide in life...you have to be the leader and tell her EXACTLY what you want her to be and do. You have to take CONTROL of the situation in every moment of you being together or with a blink of an eye...you will be ruined financially and she will be back in her ways as if she just woke up yesterday...you see filipinas are mentally very very strong..they don't mind living in a palatial condo for years and then with a turn live in a ghetto..they can work as a maid in hong kong or a secretary in makati and then again a maid in hong kong..it doesn't bother them much. They spend money like water and thats why they are mostly in debt most of the time :)..its your or her money..she will spend it all

We can't adjust that easily, if we got a taste of high life or the way we live for years.....all we have is our money..nothing else...they can even go back to their strong family ties..their bondage is for ever. We are men, we are suppose to lead, live independently and be a provider. If you loose job, money...you loose all.....they don't..

The whole point is, you need to know completely well, what you are getting into. If relationship and your money goes south for some reason....she will be back up in no time...can you? She will never loose, you will

Im walking down the street near Olongapo city mall in broad daylight. Two caucasian guys are stopping and asking local girls if they want to 'go with them', 'be my girlfriend' etc. The guy's kept repeating this all the way down the street.

Many of these girls had pinoy bf's nearby in the shitter/parking the car/in a shop buying load etc. When the bf's returned to witness this let me tell ya there was some very tense moments which were diffused by the girls thank god.

I mean these guys were just embarrassing.

In that part of the street there are numerous bar's where a 'gf for the night' can be had easily.

p.s. dont ever pick a fight with a filipino guy in public. The fight will go from you & him to you & 30 rock/stick/knife wielding guys within _seconds_.

But I referred to the earlier implication that the vast majority of Filipinas will have multiple lovers and you will not be able to find a real non-cheating girlfriend.

The "other" type of Filipina will not "hunt" in the first place. You won't even notice or care given the abundance of other opportunities. Having an exclusive relationship is possible with the appropriate girl, however it will require the same if not more effort than with Western women, kind of defying the motivation of most males coming to the Philippines. Unfortunately the kinds of scene described by Amavida recur often and in many different cities. I don't know what comes over these guys who would get their balls cut off if they tried treating women in their home countries in similar fashion. I have seen that soooooo many times around the globe. There is no derivitave benefit to us from conduct like that. Another reason why I just try to be smooth and under the radar.

I am a guest in their country and conduct myself accordingly and avoid conflict with pinoys. Works pretty well for me.

Some people are slow to learn and others will never learn. I have dealt with Korean, Chinese and Japanese that will never learn. Also have met some nice people. Its the way of the world.

Lest anyone think that this kind of obnoxious behavior is peculiar to the Philippines, I just wanted to add that I've been in Phnom Penh the last few days, and have seen multiple exhibitions of the same general attitude, typically expressed by extremely badly dressed white guys, who could use a bath or three, and who appear convinced that they're god's gift to the locals. They're almost impossible to avoid since they're here in such profusion.

hahaha....well quoted parallels from D9 :)....yeah you are right..as for me adapting from one third world country (India) to another (PH) was as easy as eating chickenjoy from jollibee. I have always said, i got an upgrade from life back in India. Most of the folks from US and europe have difficulty in adjusting to the life here, which is understandable.

The prawns here feel like dolphins, compared to sharks back home. I have suffered in hell back home, may be it was for a reason, i was never ever able to connect with Indian women in anyways no matter how hard i tried.

Yep. I have seen & read too many heart breaks to wise up and warn fellow mongers. Living here, we know what the newbie mongers are getting into with a filipina, better to be prepared than be sorry.
